Ade reciting Gwendolyn Brooks' "We Real Cool"

Ade (7th), a students at Ile Omode, recited Gwendolyn Brooks' poem, "We Real Cool" for a class at Ile Omode. The lesson was inspired in part from reading "One Crazy Summer", a book purchased from Marcus Books in Oakland by the Klay Thompson Foundation to support our children and their thirst for reading. Ile Omode is an independent, African-centered school. Founded in 1986, it serves students from preschool through 8th grade. See www.ileomode.org for more information about the school.
