there is actually filterable water. At the helipad, if you are facing the LCR, to the right down a little embankment is a stream. It is brackish and won't quench your thirst, but you can cook with it, and it will help with getting you out of the canyon. We just summited Kili in Feb. Wow really? We didn’t know, we had to carry a lot of water with us because they told us that water wasn’t filterable so it was kind like crazy
