Great video kids. I heartily suggest the rafting trip through the Grand Canyon.....I did it twice and both remain lifetime highlights for me now at 70 years old. Can't backpack any more but i love watching other folks trips. Isn't UA-cam great!!? Looks like I'll have to check out your other videos. Stay safe, be well and take good care of one another.
By far, the most helpful video I found. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge! Finally getting to go after my 2020 trip go cancelled due to Covid. I’m stoked! 🤙🏼
Epic video! What a trip guys! Mooney Falls looks amazing! Think I would try to camp next to it too & would love to make it to the Colorado River.. the contrast of the two rivers is insane 😍
My family and I did this hike 2004,my youngest being 8. She hiked all the way to the bottom by herself. The family took the mule back up I hiked and beat them. I didn’t pay for any permit at the time but I am also Comanche, Native American. My wife and I hiked from north rim to the bottom and back last year at 60. It took 8 hrs but we did it and there was a heat advisory! Love the outdoors! Love God!
I stabbed a reservation on October 18th-21st! We rarely go hiking/camping, but im going to start taking my son, he's a indoor savant lol. I know it's going to be tough on him but i think this is the perfect start to get him interested, plus a good digital detox altogether for both of us. Before we get there on the 17th im going to swing him up to the Sand Dunes in Colorado as an additional bonus. We live in central TX.
I’ve followed your instagram for forever. I just now checked out your YT and I’m so excited! Going to the Grand Canyon to hike rim to rim this October!!
I hiked Havasupai last month. It was my 4th trip. I always love to experience the magic there but the reality is the hassle of the permits, $400 fee, the actual conditions and garbage was disappointing. Fossil creek will have to do for me! 😊
What a great video! What kind of lens did you use for the photos? Specifically, the ones on Beaver falls? I'm planning on going there next month and I'm debating whether to take my 35mm or my 85mm. I'd appreciate any help!
Very useful information, thank you! I've got a permit for the end of July and I'm curious if you're able to sleep in your car near the trailhead the night before you depart on the trail
I have questions since this is the first adventure hiking that I’m doing, the hiking do we do it by ourselves or is there a guide that take you there? Is if we go by ourselves is there sign that tell us where to go? Thank you very much for all the information.
How does the helicopter ride work let's say I decide just to take the helicopter does it drop me off right at the falls? And do I have to camp out there or can I take a helicopter back at the end of the day after I've had my fun at the waterfall?
Can we start hiking like 3am to avoid the sun on the first day of reservation? or do they really open at 5am? also since the Grand Canyon Cavern Inn closes at 7pm, I should be there prior to the day of my reservation to get the wristbands. is that right?
I noticed it says photography and videography for commercial use is prohibited and I see you’re monetized. I’m wanting to start a channel myself and was wanting to video it but I saw that and am wondering if that would be an issue. Do you have any insight on this?
Hey! Great question! We just asked the people at the front desk at the lodge when we were checking in the day before we left if filming/posting to social media was fine and they said yes. However, would definitely recommend asking beforehand as the rules can change frequently!
Hey I had a question I really want to take my girlfriend we sent the most experienced at backpacking we hike a lot and love it but I’m just worried if it’s easy to stay on the trail a big concern of mine is getting lost idk if that’s a valid fear lol
@dekcarc can I tour your house for free? Can I tour your house for $10k? Pretty sure you would loosen restrictions on your property if someone was paying you.
Hell, I can hike in Massachusetts into the back woods 2 miles or less and find way more beautiful waterfall fed creaks streams rivers and swimming holes for free with no restrictions no waiting lists or permits. Nice video though.
Please reconsider using mules. These poor animals are exploited and often times mistreated and then discarded/ killed when spent. Similar to the horse carriage rides in NYC. Please don’t support people who use animals as a commodity.
Great video and great way of explaining everything . Very helpful 👌 question do I need to navigate using a map to hike in to the campground or are the trails easy to understand when hiking? And where can I find the map you guys were using in the video or is there a map you recommend? I'm new to all this

Definitely on our bucket list to do a rafting trip! Sounds like you have had quite the adventures :) Wishing you all the best 🤗🤗
This was informative! On my bucket list and my motivation for getting in tip-top shape!
By far, the most helpful video I found. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge!
Finally getting to go after my 2020 trip go cancelled due to Covid. I’m stoked! 🤙🏼
Thanks so much for the good info and sharing your experience. Hope to make it out next year!
You have to! Such an amazing experience!
27 days til we are there!! We’ve held onto our permits since Feb 2020. Cannot wait!! 😍💙🥳
Also, G: “I am deceased.” 😂 That’s going to be me.
Omg have the best trip! We help ours since March 2020 too!
Hahahahaha I feel that on a spiritual level lmao
So each February, the permits released are not just for that calendar year? Thanks for the clarification.
So helpful!
Super helpful, thanks!! Stoked to go next week. Had the permits since 2020!
Hahah same! Have an amazing time over there it is so beautiful! 🙏❤️😮💨
Ah, this is one of the must-go places for every hiker. Very nice footage and great information. Thank you for showing us this epic place. 👍🙂
Thank you! Its always such a wonderful time over there :)

I LOVE Havasupai!!!! This is the greatest hike ever!
It is unreal!!!! Love that place 😍😍
wow this is awesome, the way you capture the shots and your detailed explanations!! I hope to go there one day :)
Aw thank you so much! You have to visit someday!
We are going next month. I'll let you know how helpful your video is. We are staying at the lodge. Can't wait!!!
So sick! Have an amazing time!! 🤗🤗
wow this is so informative and the shots are amazing!
Aw thank you for the feedback Grace!
Great job! Thx
Thanks so much for watching!
Just wow!! 🤗👍👍
I’ve followed your instagram for forever. I just now checked out your YT and I’m so excited! Going to the Grand Canyon to hike rim to rim this October!!
Have an amazing time!!! It is so gorgeous over there! 😍😍😍
I never knew there was a waterfall in Arizona
Thanks

Thanks for your input!
$400!!?? And garbage??!! What the heck???
@@zariballard yeah unfortunately a lot of people don’t know how to pick up after themselves 😭😢 it’s super frustrating
Timmy do you know how to get to Fossil Creek ? I tried to look it up on maps and it says "cant find a way there" .. thanks in advance
@SunnySide... Just outside of camp verde off the 260. 15 mile dirt road and get a permit now....August is going off now! 😊
Going in September!
You will have such a good time there!!! Have fun! 🙌✨
Bravo
Thank you! 🙏❤️
SUPERB Video!! Now, where can I download that map? or any map for guidance
Is Havasupai on your bucket list? Let us know if you have any questions! ⬇️
perfect timing on this video! hopefully i can do this trip soon.
It’s definitely a bucket list! Friend just snagged 2 cancellations! Uggghhh one day
Yaaas queeen
I got a week in AZ. Thinking hard about doing this
Highly recommend if you can grab the permits!
What a great video! What kind of lens did you use for the photos? Specifically, the ones on Beaver falls? I'm planning on going there next month and I'm debating whether to take my 35mm or my 85mm. I'd appreciate any help!
How do the people in the village get to their village? How do they get food etc.? Do they trek the 10 miles also for whatever they need?
Very useful information, thank you! I've got a permit for the end of July and I'm curious if you're able to sleep in your car near the trailhead the night before you depart on the trail
Unfortunately you are not allowed to sleep at trail head! The earliest you can enter through gate was 5am when we went!
how do you charge your devices on a trip like this?
Hi guys. Loved all your information. Thanks. I have a question: is there somewhere to stay at your car instead of a hotel before the first check in..?
Yes! We just slept on the BLM land nearby!
@@TheLoversPassport thanks for your valuable information.
Does everyone need to be there at check in? Or just for the check in that begins the hike
I believe just the group leader!
what's the cheapest/closest aiport from havasupai?
I would fly into Vegas or Phoenix
This place is on our bucketlist! Will definitely be rewatching when we eventually make it there 😍
You are going to love it!
I have questions since this is the first adventure hiking that I’m doing, the hiking do we do it by ourselves or is there a guide that take you there? Is if we go by ourselves is there sign that tell us where to go? Thank you very much for all the information.
There are signs that tell you where to go the whole way plus we would recommend downloading All Trails and offline maps!
I would strongly recommend doing some smaller hikes before starting off with a big trip like this too!
How does the helicopter ride work let's say I decide just to take the helicopter does it drop me off right at the falls? And do I have to camp out there or can I take a helicopter back at the end of the day after I've had my fun at the waterfall?
Is there any information about a day pass?
In April, how warm or cold is the waterfalls?
It was refreshing!
Can we start hiking like 3am to avoid the sun on the first day of reservation? or do they really open at 5am? also since the Grand Canyon Cavern Inn closes at 7pm, I should be there prior to the day of my reservation to get the wristbands. is that right?
Yes you have to get there the day before to get wristbands, and when we showed up at 5am the people still weren't there!
What month is best to do this hike?
Do you know if the lodge reservations become available on the 1st as well?
We are not sure! I am sure you can find it online though!
How are you keeping all electronics charged
We’re doing the mule thang… I can’t wait 😊
Have the best time!

You paid only $200 in 2019? I paid $395 in 2020! That's double!
Right?! Can't believe how much prices have gone up with inflation!
I paid like $100 for 7 days and traded $25 in weed for the mules to take my pack in the early 2010s.. Instagram has blown that place up
You can thank Sleep Joe and all the Democrats For that.
$455 in 2024 🤦🏻♂️
Paid $90 in 2012
Are we required by law to raise our arms at every water crossing?
@@KieranMullen has anyone ever told you you’re so funny?!
How does James Franco find the time to travel so much in between all of his film shoots
He is a hard working man 😂😂😂
Can you spend the night in the parking lot at the trailhead the night before?
I prefer when the content was from the experience rather than the talk to camera interview.
Thanks for the feedback! Our planning guide style videos are usually a mix of both 👍🏼
100% Agree!
$375 per person? 😮 this has been on my list but I did not anticipate that at all.
Yeah they have made it quite inaccessible price wise 😅
Yeah what is that all about?? That is ridiculous!
@@zariballard I've noticed that everything is "sacred" and off-limits to the tribes, until you fork over enough money.
@dekcarc can I tour your house for free? Can I tour your house for $10k? Pretty sure you would loosen restrictions on your property if someone was paying you.
@BrandonH321 You're right, I probably would. But I don't believe in "sacred" ground either so 🤷♂️.
You look like james franco
Hahaha I have gotten that one alot!

Cool story
Permits are not hard to get. Go to the website and pick what is available. Stop the unnecessary hype.
why do i need a permit to walk a dirt trail?
Please reconsider using mules. These poor animals are exploited and often times mistreated and then discarded/ killed when spent. Similar to the horse carriage rides in NYC. Please don’t support people who use animals as a commodity.
I think you missed the part where we said we don't recommend them since they are mistreated...we would never advocate for using them.
It’s sad we have to wait and pay for what God put here on earth for us to explore and enjoy 😢😢
This woman constantly throwing her hands up making it all about her!! Is that all women do... Lol at this view and she still wants all the attention
Or I asked her to do that LOL 😂 No tolerance for hating on my wife here

Thank you for the feedback! The trails are pretty easy to understand in the campground! We just downloaded the map off of AllTrails the app!
I paid 455 🥲
