Columbus, Ohio - On May 7, 2024, just after 1:15 p.m., Whitehall Police were alerted via Flock cameras to a stolen vehicle taken out of a previous aggravated robbery incident in Columbus. While the chase originally began in Whitehall, Whitehall police requested assistance from Columbus police. The two suspects led police on a chase in the stolen vehicle, then got out and stole another vehicle. At some point during the chase, the driver of the stolen Hyundai struck a police cruiser head-on near Clime and River Bend Roads in southwest Franklin County. Three other cruisers were damaged during the chase. As the chase continued, an officer was able to use a pit maneuver and the Hyundai crashed into a tree. Officers took the teens into custody. Both have a history with stolen cars. Both teens are being held in juvenile detention until their next hearing.

Nobody lied, there's just a lot of nuance to a car's handling, and more importantly, there's a huge difference between a sports car and an economy car in terms of driving dynamics. Good driving dynamics however do not necessarily mean the limits of that car are higher.
This is precisely why people enjoy old sports cars so much, they absolutely cannot out perform modern every day economy cars, because the standards of performance and handling have come a long ways, however beyond the limits of the tires, the classic sports car becomes even more fun to drive, while the modern economy car understeers, gives you little to no feedback, and generally feels like shit once you start to push it.
The economy car is faster, and in many cases is a lot faster, but the sports car can actually be driven fast enjoyably, therefore it is a better car for the enjoyment of driving, but it's old and simply will be slower.
For context to what this looks like, the fastest car I've driven, up until recently when I got to drive an actual sports car, was a Kia Sorento. That god offual car is horrifying to drive, because the inputs are all so electronic and isolated that they may as well be fake, the steering especially. That cars limits however are significantly higher than my old Subaru, and the automatic transmission in that Kia has 8 speeds, meaning while my Subaru is fun to hustle, but ultimately slow, that stupid Kia is not only faster but also more responsive since it's essentially always in the power band and can shift faster.
As a result you can drive that Kia crazy aggressively and get away with it, all the while barely feeling anything through the wheel and pedals.
This kind of vehicle scares me, because I firmly believe it makes people over confident, and unable to react properly when something happens that finally does push the car past its limits, but that's not the point of this comment.
The point of this comment is to say that the limits of modern normal cars are almost scary compared to what we used to have, however once you compare them to a modern sports car, it's truly a whole different discussion, because unlike the Hyundai, you can actually feel something in those other cars.
Oh also Hyundai makes fairly sporty cars these days, I actually think their middle and upper trims, especially their higher N trims, are very comparable to older sports cars, if not down right better in many regards, so don't judge a book by its cover either, not all Hyundai's are built equal.
"2 Teens in Stolen Hyundai" ---> 99.9% certainty of the demographic without even watching the video. 💯
purely coincidental
The look of shock on my face….those damn Irish kids AGAIN! 😂😂😂
yup. same kids who post their stolen cars to instagram and yt, they're called Kia Boys cuz they exclusively steal Kias and Hyundais because they're both very weak to a simple technique that allows anyone to start and steal the car.

That Elantra handles pretty damn good!!!
My goodness, the quality of the Elantra is so good!
I’m surprised how much that Hyundai held up
It's not made in American I guess
@@modelrailwaynoob HAHAHAHA 😑 You know Made in USA 9 times outta 10 is better than China shit most countries use.
If you weren't paying attention.........it didn't!
@lynnrussell1111 It did. The police officer that was about the 4th to hit it wasn't the original officer. He joined later. Kids out ran loads of them. It accelerated faster too and took way, way more damage.

They’ll be back out in a few years. Then either end up dead or back in jail. Part of the culture unfortunately nowadays
Years? Try hours.
Hours. They will be out in hours.
They'll be out on bail in an hour and out on probation for the next year. Justice is dead.
years? Days...if not that day.
You are off by a few years
I will never dog another Hyundai, for the remainder of life. Bruh……. Absolute tank
What the hell is a bruh.😂
@@yukonjack. it's "bro" with a twist of sarcastic sinicism.
@@skeefe1816not rly, many people just say bruh instead of bro with no ulterior meaning behind it.
@trstnhn I'm not saying it with any "ulterior" purpose either. It's simply being used just the way I intended it to be, like I said the first time. Some sarcasm, with a splash of cynicism.
The cop casually pit-manouvering the hyundai into another cop car😂
