Which ramen bowl do you want most from the bunch?
All of them looked super umai
Thank you for your videos! Really helped a ramen enthusiast like me to plan my trip to Japan. Not gonna be anytime soon though 😅. I hope you're doing fine during this pandemic 🙂
Thank you for watching! You'll just have that much of a longer list when travel has safely resumed 😊. I'm doing fine and hope it's the same on your side!
As usual, another great video. So much information. Always like to know the prices. Like to drool over how good it is over there and how reasonable. Lol.
Haha yes, this one was packed with a lot of info...got really ramen geeky 😄. These were all about 1,000 Yen - always reasonable!
OMG FINALLY! FIRST COMMENT FOR 5AM RAMEN! Imagine eating a bowl of ramen while watching this, because that is exactly what we are doing!!!
FIRST! As you should 😁 - instant ramen is it?
@@5AMRamen that's all we could get at that time! Haha!
I would go for No 1 Nagi. It looks so good and 2 kinds of noodles!
Me too! 😋
Big bonus with the 2 types of noodles!
Menja Kaijin for me … I’m drawn to the clarity of the broth and the modern appearance of the finished product 😃❤️
Menya Kaijin might be the most unique ramen on the list, modern appearance and taste! Those meatballs hit the spot too 😋
Hey Frank. Keep these videos coming.
Will do!!
Good quality content, keep it up.
Thanks a lot - will keep the ramen train rolling!
Nice to see you out in the city again. That shrimp/tomato tsukemen looked really interesting.
It's all ramen backlog actually! But the next couple videos I will be out and about more.
@@5AMRamen Great.
I never imagined there was so much fish based ramen. If my husband finds out he won't eat it anymore (he hates fish, if he knows it's in it or really taste it). The flying fish ramen looks really good! I love flying fish dashi, I prefer to use that in my general cooking over the katsuo dashi, But the number 4 on your list looks good as well.
Endless fish ramen options! That's fantastic that you're already using fly fish dashi. As you're aware, the fish flavors here in Japanese cuisine are generally subtle...maybe you can sneak some in to his food 😊. Number 4 is great!
oooh I'll take #2 and #1... Yummy! I hope you're having a great weekend!
I'm having an awesome weekend and hope you are too! #2 and #1 are so tasty in their own way (being very different).
Number 4 is probably my favorite. I had no idea there was a ramen shop in golden gai, but then again remembering stuff from your visits to golden gai is difficult haha.
No. 4 is excellent and worth the wait! I love how Nagi is sandwiched between all the bars in Golden Gai. Maybe you already ate there one of those nights 😅
i got to try #5 and #1 both are excellent :D
Amazing! Hope you get to enjoy the other spots at one point!
Wow! Impressive, so many mentions in this segment!! Very cool with nice variety of ramen types!!! You ars on fire with the lifting of restrictions!! Great job, stay safe and keep on!!!👏😀👍🏿
Thanks for watching and glad you liked it! Haha yes, crammed in a lot of fish ramen info 😂. Actually, all the footage in this video is from ramen backlog, taken some time ago!
Musashi is in Malaysia! Can’t wait for the episode on them!
That's right, isn't it! I'm sure I'll have fun making that one too 😊
Great list, great video. I’ve been lucky enough to try most of these and love them all! Nagi and Takahashi with their deeper flavor are perfect after (too many) drinks. Housenka is delicate and works any time of the day. Gonokami’s shrimp and tomato tsukemen is unique and that pesto takes it to another level. Ichigen is just a long standing favorite that always delivers.
You are a superstar, having visited the bunch! Yes, definitely such a wide range of flavors / styles with all of the bowls, all good for different moods. I think I'll need to expand on this topic in the future - toss in some oyster and shellfish ramen, for example.
5 AM Ramen definitely do part 2!
The ebi tsukemen has my name on it for sure!! So great that they put an Italian twist with the tomato version
It's waiting for you! They pushed the boundaries but it all works with the Italian twist 👍
Production quality keeps improving - good stuff
Thanks - little improvements here and there. Hope you're well buddy!
Hey Frank, Thanks for the halal mention. I was looking for fish based broth which is hard to find.
No worries! From the list here, Menya Kaijin def doesn't use any pork bones...Menya Takahashi does, for example, so do be careful of that 👍
I hope that some day I will have the opportunity to go to Japan and enjoy all the types of ramen listed in your video. I would love to try the dipping ramen! Looks so delicious!! Thanks for your very informative videos!! Of course, now I need to have a bowl of ramen! Lol
Indeed - I hope you do in the future and you'll have to reserve a big chunk of time to enjoy all of these 😊. The dipping ramen is amazing and thanks for watching the video! Hope the bowl of ramen you had was good too 😉.
@@5AMRamen well, as good as instant can be!! Lol stay safe!
I had the Ramen Nagi bowl on my last trip to Tokyo and while it was delicious, it was too heavy for me and I couldn’t finish it! Real pity though cause it was honestly one of my favourites
It is quite heavy...but so delicious, as you said. Glad though you enjoyed and appreciated it! The highest level niboshi ramen.
2nd Comment T_T btw great video as ever😍
Thanks and glad you liked it!
Thick noodles rule!
Shop no. 1 has got you covered!
The tomato shrimp Tsukemen reminds has that definite Italian vibe. Speaking of which have you done a review of Due Italian? They have some creative bowls. The fromage with prosciutto was really good.
I haven't yet done a video review of Due Italian...that would be a fun one, for sure. I prob need to go back - I think the only footage I have from there is vertical (for IG) 😅
SEAFOOD RAMEN!
YES!
YES!
YEEEEEEEEEEEESSS!
Here it is! 😊
The best was the one u took us to in Asasuka!!!
The pork bone one? 😄
5 AM Ramen No the fish one!
“Kaijin” has to be the coolest name for a fish ramen restaurant 😂
Absolutely! Confident choice 😊
A couple of us are interested in real nasty funky old school niboshi stuff.
Niboshi doesn't always translate outside of Japan - glad you're all niboshiheads 😃
Did Ramen Nagi upgrade their customer paging contraption yet? 😂
Not sure! Haven't visited in a little bit 😊
you cannot escape from lord pork .
almost 90% ramen have pork ~
>>ramen with bamboo shoots is very rare.
Yes, pork is in a lot of ramen here! But you do have more purely chicken bowls and other non-pork bowls now more than ever before 👍
