Hi, I'm the guy who shared his failed Leon Motion Capture audition story a while back. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your kind feedback. I've made a big mistake when being in touch with Capcom in late 2015 and it's an agonizing regret for me, but it felt so much better getting it off my chest. Sort of closure.
I live on the central coast of California. There are quite a few ramen shops springing up in my area, and ironically, they charge probably twice as much for a bowl of ramen as you'd pay for in Japan.
Thank you for the Ramen restaurant tips. We will definitely search out the ones in Shunjuku (except Golden Gai as we have been told to stay away from there multiple times) when we are there in July.
Yay! Have the best time!! Golden gai is fine as long as you don’t go into the bars at night haha 😆 But also Ramen Nagi in golden gain opens at 11am! So like it’s empty in the bars! :)
Great recommendations as always! Gonna try to visit them early because I hate queues. Did you have to wait in the Shibuya one or you had a reservation?
For the Udon place, I believe you just have to wait in line. But if you go at a non-busy time, it will be fine! I don't remember reservation being an option! but it was sooooo worth it. Go during a non-busy time and get a seat by the window!! 😍
Great video! We are getting ready for our first trip to Japan. Can you tell me more about the last restaurant, Taurus Ton Tan…specifically what you ordered? I’m not very adventurous and looks like you had Udon with fried chicken on top. Do you remember what that’s called? There are so many options and just want a simple broth. Thanks!!
Hi holly!! Tsurotontan udon has a lot of great options! They have simple shrimp tempura udon which is your common one (delicious), then thicker broth ones too. Mine was a curry udon with pork cutlet and shrimp tempura! The menu in Shibuya has English option as it’s a screen you order from at your table 😃. You can see all the pictures there! You will find some non-adventurous options for sure 😍. Udon in Japan is sooo much better than in the states hehe
Thank you for all your Japan videos! My husband and I will be traveling soon with our 4 kids. My 4 y/o is a difficult eater so can take him over an hour to eat, here we usually ask for a togo box and feed him while we walk. We can't do that in Japan but is asking for a togo box an option ? Thank you.
I have been to so many ramen shops in Tokyo, probably over 100 places.. cause I lived there a little while 😂 I have been to 3/5 of these - they were good and high quality but not my favourite (because I am not a big fan of fish based ramen) my favourite is the tsukemen at tatsunoya in shinjuku, def try it out next time ✨ Gotta try that udon place!
This is super helpful with the all of the visual references! I added them all to my google list haha Thank you so much! ❤ Will you be doing another video with other types of Japanese food restaurants you recommend? 😊
Hello thank you for this video. I was wondering if there are places to go visit and eat that are wheelchair accessible ? I plan on visiting Japan and hopefully I will be able to take my elecrtic wheelchair.
Hi Sandra! :) I would say depending on where you are in Tokyo, there are some ramps. Not everywhere has a ramp or elevator though especially in the busy locations with a lot of buildings everywhere. Ginza, Shibuya, Tokyo Bay Area were flatter and more malls and restaurants in nice buildings with elevators too. :) shinjuku I would say is harder as it’s sooo 3D and pretty busy and narrow with people but there are some delicious places along the streets that are easy to get to. Basically when you get there, a lot of tourists are trying to just figure out where in the world they are and then that’s how they find a place to eat haha. It’s a whole different world over there but literally every restaurant is worth going to! So if you keep in mind ramps and flat floor areas, you will find some amazing places no matter what!
Awesome videos! Thank you so much for all the details! I have a funny question! We are going to visit Japan with a group, and some people don't eat Japanese food at all, others do! It is easy to find some non Japanese food around? Like McDonald's, pizza places etc? Also, if they go and grab mc Donald's for example, they can't join us in the ramen restaurant? They probably need to wait for us outside? Thank you 🙏❤️
Thanks for watching!!! If you are in Tokyo or other big cities, there are plenty of places you can eat that aren’t Japanese food. Like pizza, wings, cafes, Starbucks, McDonald’s, subway, Chinese, Korean, and more chains and cuisines. :) if you buy from outside, I definitely would not bring the food into the Japanese restaurants. Like a sushi or ramen place etc. I haven’t ever heard anyone talk about it, but I can guarantee they will get some looks. And it probably is along the lines of bad manners 😖. A lot of the people pride themselves in their craft, so I would have your friends not bring it in! 🫡 also most places aren’t very big and there is already a line so they likely wouldn’t be given a seat!😝
@@buildyourmoxie thank you! Yes I suspect the same. We probably need to split the group and find a "meeting point" after we are done eating! Thank you so much for the info 🙌.
If you need a bib you're not earing it right haha but really rhiania great. I'm still kinda scared to order food. Going this November again. It's been 6yea since I went last
Totally understandable! I did find that there were a lot more kids and toddlers in Harajuku and Ginza if that helps any! More strollers and baby carriers there! There were kids at Afuri ramen. They were local kids so they knew how to wait in long lines lol. Some of those ramen lines are LONG. I didn’t see ANY toddlers in shinjuku (I was confused the first couple days of our trip and then shocked how many kids were in harajuku just a train stop away). If you like sushi, a good place to bring the kiddos would be Sushiro (conveyor belt sushi chain and self serve. There are booths there so it’s pretty lax) Honestly all food in Japan is soooo good. Just because the line is very long doesn’t necessarily make it better. 😃
Oh wow. Fu-Unji is still popular?! We went back in 2016. It's amazing. Now that I know you have good taste, I will add the rest of your recommendations to my list for my trip next month.
