I used this method today and the results were pretty fantastic. First time EVER doing ribs. I made a lot of mistakes, but in turn learned a lot. The video was a GREAT deal of help. Thanks so much.
A tip about the paint on your side firebox burning off: try seasoning it with cooking oil (canola works great) like a cast iron skillet while it's hot. Just put a generous amount on a folded-over paper towel and rub it down about once or twice an hour. The oil will start to smoke as the heat bakes it on. The end result is a nice, shiny black rustproof coating. Works better than high temperature wood stove and automotive paints, which I previously tried, to no avail.
I bought an offset smoker and followed your instructions and absolutely LOVED my ribs. Was first time but these instructions were simple and to the point. Thanks for helping “novice” smokers take our first steps, man. “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime”

Smoking some ribs for the first time tomorrow. This is definitely what I needed to see. Thanks for the vid!
I appreciate that!! Thanks for your support and good luck with the cook! I'm sure you'll do fine!
How did ur ribs turn out
Michael Anderson they came out pretty good. I didn’t use Apple
Cider Vinegar in my spray mix though. What I used was just Apple Juice and Water. And I used pecan wood to smoke it with.

Ain't no fair-weather cookers over here!! 😎 lol thanks for watching!
I like juice in the wrap and increase temp to 375, 45 min, same grill with a 30" gas bar so I don't have to baby sit temp.gets perfect.like the vid.
Great video! But why not finish the ribs after wrapping them, in the oven? Seems easier. And less coals used. Your ribs look incredible!
thanks mate was a good review and shame about the snow
