To add onto my previous comment. Bungie tried to justify this shitty redemption arc in a recent Twab. You can't force something onto the playerbase to accept Bungie, that's how you lose players. Echoes is an example of that. The writing is so bad that it makes fucken Curse Of Osiris look better. How far is the ball going to sink in the cement?
@waitwhat238 the writing was pretty good till we decided to let Maya go for no reason other than, the Vex need a face after Bungie spent 10 years doing nothing with them despite setting them up with Elsie as the *beeg* bad.
I'm not a deeply invested story guy in Destiny, but even that threw *me* off. Comparing Eramis to Crow, who previously died to his past self's actions - or others resurrected by Light, who rarely get to know themselves at all - is not equivalent. Sucks, because it makes showcasing the genuinely good art below come off preachy and manipulative.
Why do we keep winning? I get we killed the Witness but having us lose some of the first battles post final shape really would of put things back as they were a bit, like have Maya find a Chiome as messed up as her and let them control the nessus vex going forward, have nezerac burst out of Mithraxx's and have us have to put down our once brilliant ally
Fikrul died in the most UNCEREMONIOUSLY way Ive ever seen in D2, the whole Nezarec possession was wasted (I want him to have a coolness redemption), and the final boss fight was so lame. I enjoyed Encore more than this mission.
@@Apogenezis yeah everything but the ending of echoes was cool, well that and the continuous Saint/osiris drama. Felt like I was being read a middle schoolers fanfiction

They didn't even do anything to try and redeem Eramis's character. Crow/Uldren was different and had an actual arc, but Eramis is still the same unredeemable asshole and continues to shit talk humanity while the Guardian shit stomped her in Beyond Light. Eido deserved the Echo over her and that's just a fact. Heresy isn't looking good either. I'll just stick to Warframe and pick up whatever games interest me in February, because things are definitely not looking good.
But if Crabcakes got the Echo, Bungie would have to figure out how it would be used in the plot. Eramis not really doing anything redeemable or being remorseful for any of her actions, is the crux of the issue. I think if she'd done ANYTHING redeemable, (besides saving Mithrax, which was really just about settling the score). The story probably would have at least felt a lil better.

I'm shocked that they had the balls to kill Fikrul. Echoes gave the message that now we got into an mcu-like story where nothing will end and no one will die. so sad to see one of the villains with the most potential go to waste.
Bruh this episode had a cool start then a really boring middle to a 5/10 ending that I have so many problems with. I did like the staff (not Eramis) banishing Nezarec from Mythrax’s body though.
I just finished episode a hour ago.... Honestly I unironically liked it more than echoes besides weapons Like, I will be real, even while for some Kell's Fall doesn't feel like an exotic missions, for me it feels like a very good mission still. Encore was annoying because of multiple parts and damned tormentor in the middle (yes I'm obsessed with clearing things solo on expert), but KF felt like fast in and out which I like. Oh yeah also Eramis monologue at the end somehow put smile on my face. I give revenant solid 7/10, had problems but was fine for me after all
I liked Echoes more, tbh Because when I think about it, if I had that power, I would do the exact same thing and probably make the same mistake in accidentally killing the one I loved. As for the Kell of Kells - Mithrax should have been lost to the darkness and the tonic that kills Fikrul would have been used on him to destroy the darkness, but also kill him - at least setting him free. Leaving Eramis to the Echo to rebuild Riis and Eido, the one who's in the best position storywise, to be that Kell of Kells. Because Eido is not violent. Eido is smart, a talker. She was the one to talk Eramis into chilling tf out.
@SimonGuyWhoLikesGowther finally a reasonable comment chain… I liked the story and weapons more in echoes but the ending of Revenant was better imo. Maya just sinking into the soup while we just stood there made no sense. With Revenant, besides Fikrul getting killed rather unceremoniously, Eramis never pretended to be our friend, she only helped to benefit her. Of the three Eliksni involved, I think Eramis was the best choice. Eido is the purest of the three but she’s to young and inexperienced, plus not really a Kell/Leader type yet. Mithrax besides Nezzy, has done as much as Eramis in terms of trying to save the Eliksni but chose a much better route than her. That said, he still wants to stay around the traveler and allied with humanity leaving Eramis. She wanted to rebuild Riis and leave Sol, aligning with the echos want/desire, and she always wanted to save her people, she was just really bad at picking the right solution.
Eramis is a constant reminder that the Fallen deserved extinction after centuries of their brutality on humanity. Bungie is trying to make them the second Elites, except they forgot why we were at war for so long, and try to sweep everything under the rug
Eramis just pisses me off fr. I only played TWICE this season, and I will have to drag my ass to D2 to rush the story and try and get the seasonal exotic's skin at 100 and the cool armor. Everything else? Literally don't care.
Im not in the camp with the community on this one. Ive had the most fun with the content since Season of the Wish. Slayer's Fang is Silliness (Adept). The seasonal activities and the vibe they bring is very cool (we literally got Vex with Prada collars in Echoes, at least here they tried and gave us a new enemy with a new mechanic in the form of Revenant Barons). And Kell's Fall is probably my favorite exotic mission to date. Just one last fun gauntlet with the now Revenant Barons of the Tangled Shore.
Skolas got revived, and is still alive after we kill him, AGAIN! WE ARE THE IMMORTAL ONES, NOT THEM!!! How many times are going through this?! I regret GOTD dungeon because if Oryx were to because lightbearer it would literally change EVERYTHING in Sol. But no, resurrection of Skoals was more important. They could have made a new scorn kell or something, Even Archon Prime was better candidate, could even infuse SIVA with dark eather. That could be dope blue SIVA, but no! They take the path of most laziness. And, it, shows.
@austinwilson7373 I somewhat doubt it. As far as I know, the vanguard or soem agents took away his body for containment. And if somehow something happen, I don't think he will come to life, and if he does, it should really be epic, like alarms blaring, fleets moving, and awoken have PTSD just from his heart pulse.
@ there have been a subtle amount of flag scattered about, we know his body is alive, there was just no brain activity, we have a chunk of his soul still in the touch of malice, he specifically stated that if he dies, his enemies will use his soul and allow him to live on, and in the Ill Omens sword description: Eris flips her cards and reveals Xivu, Savathún, herself, and lastly Oryx
Why is the exotic a shotgun? Ngl I kind of wished the echo's staff was an exotic glavie, but then again bungie doesn’t dare make interesting ideas anymore instead "WE MUST REDEEM THIS GIRL WHO LEGIT TRIED TO KILL THE PLAYER ON MUTIPLE OCCASIONS AND IS THE REASON AMANDA IS DEAD!!"
don't forget she also killed Rasputin. also worth mentioning Praksis in Beyond Light fought us because he had more fear of what Eramis would do to him If he failed to kill us than what we would throw at his face, Praksis was turned into a Scorn because he was terrified of Eramis and she sold the House to the Witness. Eramis is a monster even to her own people.
The past few seasons have just been bad, really really bad, season of the wish was the last season that built enough hype but it was also the start of the current bout of bad seasons
I actually like Eramis (Yeah, come at me!) she is your typical Tsundere character, she may act mean but for all her tough act, she is a softy at heart, her actions in helping us multiple times showed that well enough.

Forcer please make an Eternal Warrior x Anarchy/Thunderlord/Acrius/Riskrunner/Coldheart video when Heresy comes out - I need to know if it will actually make Striker okay again, it’s been dead as a subclass for so lonnng🫠
Its pretty good with ex dris, thrusters, and better already on the boots as well as building around making orbs with blinding enemies. I use to use it all the time
2:34 Did taniks lend Fikrul one of his thermonuclear bombs from DSC?
Why did they push for eremis? She sucks!
Female leader.
Female warrior.
Lesbian.
If only we had some inkling of SIVA at all in this season. Would've made me want to play.
0:57 song please?
I swear, i played like 30 minutes of this season, and haven’t touched it since. Do I need to play, no, but I feel I should at least finish this season.
I hope I’m high enough of a level.
the only thing revenant did was make me actually like echoes
I love how bosses are now killed in cutscenes, instead of gameplay. Must be cutting corners somewhere😂
at this rate ts gonna fall to me to save
I'm shocked that they had the balls to kill Fikrul. Echoes gave the message that now we got into an mcu-like story where nothing will end and no one will die. so sad to see one of the villains with the most potential go to waste.
Bruh this episode had a cool start then a really boring middle to a 5/10 ending that I have so many problems with. I did like the staff (not Eramis) banishing Nezarec from Mythrax’s body though.
I just finished episode a hour ago....
Honestly I unironically liked it more than echoes besides weapons
Like, I will be real, even while for some Kell's Fall doesn't feel like an exotic missions, for me it feels like a very good mission still. Encore was annoying because of multiple parts and damned tormentor in the middle (yes I'm obsessed with clearing things solo on expert), but KF felt like fast in and out which I like.
Oh yeah also Eramis monologue at the end somehow put smile on my face.
I give revenant solid 7/10, had problems but was fine for me after all
I liked Echoes more, tbh
Because when I think about it, if I had that power, I would do the exact same thing and probably make the same mistake in accidentally killing the one I loved.
@SimonGuyWhoLikesGowther finally a reasonable comment chain…
I liked the story and weapons more in echoes but the ending of Revenant was better imo.
Forcer is right. You gotta force these memes to be funny
Wish I could have sided with the witness, just to not have to hear anymore DIALOGUE.
@@frozi1541 there is every chance oryx is involved next episode
@ but I agree, if they are going to bring him back, it NEEDS to be good
@@frozi1541 off topic but do you think they just posed him up or something in like a big room after ghosts
I enjoyed this season. Only thing I’ll say is the final fight with Fikrul could’ve been better
I also hate the story of Revenant but it is also funny to see people whining in the comments about it.
5:58 They're not racist, they're "strong and empowered." smh
Don’t.
My brother in Christ shes abhorrently racist and only helped us when it aligned with her best interests
Something like that is killer how Bungie wanted us to see her.
I just don't buy it.
Damn, have you considered making a video on something you enjoy?
She's such a huge hypocrite it's not even funny
3:14 WHAT THE FU**
I hate eramis so much.
God this sucks........
this story is so ASS
Lmao i'm so fucking glad I quit Destiny after LF was done. The overall direction and quality of the story has been in steady decline since WQ... And honestly nosedived after LF campaign... Sad. Especially being a day one player myself. Oh well, I guess...
dreg no. 5,981,573,178.4 > eramis
