Compilation of all 3 parts into one big video. Gonna do the Heresy video the same way I did the echoes video (so instead of a 10min vid per act I’ll do one big 20min vid when it’s over, less fluff and filler on my part).
@@vruxdrossgamingI’m mainly changing it because they’re going back to weekly. It just seems a hassle to record weeks of footage and having to sit on it, when I could instead just do it all on one character in a day when the episode is over. Honestly, I may think about it a bit more, doing 3 parts then a comp is still better for me in terms of how often I post. I May actually do all 3 parts then trim them down in a larger part.
- Invades foreign land - Slaughters natives without remorse - Natives fight back - Eramis, "You vile evil despicable villains! How dare you kill my people!"
This! This right here is my problem with how they handled the Fallen story. Not once did anyone call her on that BS. They all just sat back and took it.
Yeah she literally almost genocided humanity because space satan (who is also responsible for destroying her species home planet) told her to in season of the seraph. Only failing because we sacrificed Rasputin to stop it.
@@ThriceGreatHermes-c6p Yhea! The entire Eliksni motive falls flat when you say: "The Traveler got here by choice. and it refused to leave." or "we actively ward off any minion of the darkness so the Traveler feels safe and stays with us, did any of you crab cakes even tried it?" and "we know that Traveler will leave us, it is inevitable. how do we know? some people here can actually hear the Travler, lol."
Its funny cause he actually is a perfect kind of threat for us after we killed the witness, an undying jackwad that virtually poses no threat to US specifically, but 100% is a danger for our newly befriended Eliksni, we are finally on the offensive for once, so protecting another species from their own existential threat is actually a unique problem.
I cannot stress enough how mad my friends and I were getting by the end of it. Having a genocidal maniac complain and talk smack to us for the entire story alongside her annoying little apothecary was ENFURIATING. No, Eramis, you're not a victim because you didn't succeed in killing all of us, shut up.
Also for the fact that without is killing the witness, everyone would be dead and Thats just never acknowledged, not a line someone says when Eramis is going off at us, not even a thank you
Spoken as though we canonically arent the only people worthy of the mantle of Taken King. As though Guardians haven't done things more horrific than Eramis could ever dream of during the Dark Age. Eramis never owed us forgiveness. She owes the Eliksni an apology en masse, but she has all the right to tell us to bite it.
Just because it turns out she still dislikes us? Childish. Even irl, you don't owe anyone capable of what the Guardian has done forgiveness for slaughter.
@DioStandProud What? That's not what I'm saying at all... She had character growth throughout the years (still hating us) where she started feeling lost and directionless after all the crap The Witness did to her, with Eido being her only real rock (as she had her own kids before) and there is none of that present now. Like she comes from pre-beyond light and not the story we are used to.
@@DioStandProud HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THAT THE FALLEN ARE A REASON WHY HUMANITY WAS REDUCED TO A SINGLE CITY? Fallen were NEVER peaceful. They invaded Humanity at their weakest point and tried wiping them out repeatedly, and got salty that they lost so they splintered. Eramis is the worst person you could try and redeem, because she isn't even sorry for all the horrid shit she did against Humanity. There is no nuance to her character, she is a deadbeat cutthroat with a self awareness issue. They invaded because they were conquerors, not desperate. They wanted to reclaim the Traveler for themselves, not peace with us. What is there to forgive a Guardian for? Returning the favor? Revenge? Keeping the City safe from their schemes? None of those things need to be forgiven at all, but Eramis gets pissy about it like she deserves a personal apology from every single Human to ever exist when its entirely her race's fault that relations went the way that they did at first. Humanity was attacked first, so their attempts for survival and to keep their enemy at bay are easily excusable, and should in fact be celebrated. And before you ask, yes, Saint did nothing wrong. And so has our Guardian.
@supremeleader1304 And why did the Fallen invade humanity? Black Fleet propaganda combined with the existential crisis of having lost everything you cared about. Nuance.
@@DioStandProud They also learnt that the black fleet were the ones who destroyed thier home and followed anyway, even attacking House Light, the only Eliksni who wanted there to be an end to the fighting. While the Vangaurd's gaurdians actively avoid fighting unnecessary battles throughout their history and even hunting those among them who are real bastards like the Dredgen. I fear you don't see the actual naunce here. Anyone in House Salvation is far from innocent and actively do not care to make things better. Gaurdians and House Light, know that they are also not innocent, but do want to make ammends. Hell, Eramis was even given a therapist. For the remnants of House Devils, they just do not care. They just wanted to attack for scraps and power and The hand was raised for friendship post House Light and they rejected.
The sad thing? They definitely could have redeemed Eramis. But they were like "lmao nah, we're gonna make her worse then she's gonna fuck right on off. You don't get a satisfying ending."
Actually they could just, write such better stories but they just completely suck now? You can't tell me "Marathon" is gonna have OG Destiny levels of story telling. Where the hell are all of their proper writers???? ... I've not played since midway last season. I get my Destiny news exclusively through these memes.
"Minor Deity", at this point we are slightly below beings like the Traveller or the Winnower. We clapped the shit out of the Witness who at the time was an equal to the traveller in terms of power.
Personal gripe with the story was that before the episode, Fikrul and the scorn seemed to slowly become their own people, with Fikrul happy to help his undead dudes. I know he was bad, and that scorn are technically corpses. However, i was interested in the idea of them developing their own culture and such. With the echo, Fikrul went too far, crow did nothing to actually diffuse the situation, and things got worse. At the end, it was just completely forgotten as a story idea, Fikrul was killed, the new scorn werent cured, and now its just gonna be another brainless faction thats getting puppeted by, idk, Blumpkiss, the [insert enemy faction leader here]
That sounds like Bungie. Introduce villain and faction receiving development, kill villain off, but keep faction alive to be puppeteered by next villain. Remember the Hive Worms? Yeah, those guys got shafted in favor of the Witness.
They ressurected Skolas to replace him. I dont want to see a damn scorn in the next 4 years from now, we really had too much scorn for one season/ episode.
it’s similar to how they handled Rasputin imo, the Warmind as a concept has always had a ton of potential but in the season(s) they bring him to the forefront for the first time since the Warmind DLC there’s either only a little extra lore brought out or they just straight up kill him off for some arbitrary “oh this thing will happen unless i sacrifice myself”. it’s almost like Bungie is terrified of actually trying to write new characters into lore through the seasons at times, or even jus5 trying to write characters properly at all from the looks of it
Beginning of echoes: Enemy has echo End of echoes: Enemy has echo, fecks off Beginning of revenant: Enemy has echo End of revenant: "enemy" has echo, fecks off How are these episodes wrapping up anything in the saga?
I really hated that eramis got a redemption arc to such a degree. I would’ve been fine with her no longer being an “enemy” but her getting the echo and rebuilding riis is just stupid IMO. I get arguments for her saying that her love for the Eliksni and Riis is what drove her to her actions, but I genuinely do not think she deserved to be “Redeemed” enough to take the Echo. Considering the fact she has no regrets over the horrible actions she’s made. I’m also slightly biased because I’m Salty about Rasputin. But I digress, hopefully Heresy will be much better.
Brother the reason Rasputin bit the tin can was because Bungie have expressed adamantly disliking anything that can be comparable to Halo. Rasputin was functionally a Halo ring in terms of plot severity. He had to go. It's why they refuse to dabble in the Dark Age or explore more of Earth. In conclusion, robot boring, aliens cool and I'm here for it. I just wish they dusted Clovis while they're at it. (Some geriatric Ai sitting on an Ice rock is not a threat in my eyes. We could have literally crushed Ana's ghost, unplugged Clovis and been DONE with the Bray stories.)
@@DioStandProud Oh I know and agree that Rasputin had to go, I’m fine with the fact that he’s dead partially because of Eramis. I’m more just annoyed that Bungie gave her a redemption arc, she doesn’t deserve it whatsoever, sure she may have done some good things here and there, but at the end of it she never felt remorse for her actions and hatred. I very much would’ve rather had eramis try to steal the echo in the finale, fail in doing so and be set up as the main eliksni/fallen villain for the future. With eramis gone and fikrul finally dead we don’t really have a big fallen antagonist. I think it would’ve been better for Eramis to kind of fill in Fikruls place as the main Fallen villain (Of course she’d have different goals and ideologies than fikrul).
Eramis didn’t do it for the Eliksni OR Riis. She just said she did. Love was there, yes, but it was mostly grief, pride, and spite. She realizes this looking at Eido, but then promptly decides to ally with the actual apocalypse just to avoid humans. She didn’t redeem anything to deserve the Echo…she’s just constantly making the same blind mistakes she always does. Like, she doesn’t have to forgive us. Or like us. But she does have to acknowledge that the eliksni in Sol are safest if allied with the people that killed the apocalypse and many other gods. Hell, the level of blame she puts on humanity is some L copium anyway, considering they were “fallen” long before they even reached Sol. Which she knows better than basically anyone else. And she DID acknowledge both points, which is why she went MIA up to this point. Revenant was pretty much an anti-redemption arc for her from the moment she opened her mouth, and it SUCKS to see her be rewarded for it.
Every breath Eramis uttered this season singlehandedly reset people's opinions on the Fallen since Splicer. *Minor Rant Incoming:* Ok, so to preface this, my hatred of Eramis is entirely because of her character and how badly she's been written since Beyond Light. Eramis started off as a threatening power in the trailers for Beyond Light, a Fallen who managed to get Darkness Powers and was actively working towards rebuilding the Fallen under a single House capable of threatening the City. Then Beyond Light dropped, and the flaws in her character already began showing, most notably releasing the Vex into her own city to try and stop the guardians (which failed). Then, she got frozen, her story ended and we flash-forward to Seraph (which was the final season I played before I quit Destiny for good) She gets unfrozen by the Witness (who was directly responsible for the Whirlwind) and tries to blow up the Traveler using the Warsats. Then Plunder happened, and Eramis is *still* working with the Witness to try and revive a Disciple of theirs (who was probably ALSO responsible for the Whirlwind). But then, she met Eido, a naive child who never saw Riis and grew up to not be like her father or Eramis, a person who reminded her of her own family, her wife and kids that she abandoned in her grudge against Humanity. I'm not sure exactly when this lore entry was made (Either Plunder or Defiance), but Eramis was written to have ultimately left Sol, still bitter and hateful towards Humanity, but prioritizing the family she left behind over continuing the grudge. *That* right there would've been a great end to her story, she didn't win, she didn't get a handout by the writers, she just saw the writing on the wall and realised that it'd be better to focus on what she truly cared about *more* than spiting the Traveller and the Guardians. She was going to return *Home*, not to Riis, but to her wife and children. AND THEN REVENANT APPEARED! And all of a sudden that one part of her character that actually resonated with me was cut out for more whining, and now she ran off into the horizon with the 2nd McGuffin that we couldn't keep out of a villain's hands. She's degraded into a deadbeat. And as I said previously, this season and the butchery of her character singlehandedly reversed all the efforts that the game made to make the Fallen more than just a two-dimensional loudspeaker of hate that we could kill indiscriminately.
Eramis has only ever claimed to care for her people. In reality it's been only an excuse for her actions. She's selfish as all hell and our Guardian and people like Crow take her shit for no reason. Hypocrite. Killer. Thief. We take all that. Nobody calls her out on all of that being either outright incorrect or literal self defence. They attacked us, we never took the Traveller and they KNOW we didn't. They CHASED the damn thing for god knows how long. Even her own people chose to flee to House Light and live under the Traveller. Eramis'entire story this season can be summed up with this; "No, ai cant be wrong, its everyone else who is wrong.", except she got a prize for no good reason except to finally get her out of the story so we can see her in a year or two on Old Riis where all her people will hate us because she tells them only of the evil Guardians who killed everyone they saw and leave out the fact we saved the universe.
>season themed around one villain who was granted inmortality through an ahamkara, >defeated by green goo and permanently killed off they didn't even do anything cool with his final death, he just died and while personally I'm fine with Eramis's ending. at least she's now fucked off elsewhere and hopefully we won't see much of her again.
And it could have been fine if they were to actually explain it like in some theory like: Crow: how can we be sure that Fikrul is dead forever? Eido: I do not know Ahamkara magic, but if it is tied to Dark Eather then maybe since his corpse no longer posses it, there is no conduit for the magic to reanimate. or: I infused the goo with the Light, lol. "the Light Provides". like they had an entire lore tab about crow accidentaly wishing cayde back. they ould do something like that.
Yeah, just look at what eremis did. Swore to make new ris, and proceeded to attract vex in and take a pact with the entity that caused the whirlwind...
The next one seems so out there that it might just be good, I’d say the first one as far as environment and soundtrack was 6-7 out of 10, revenant was a solid 3
Well, they aren't exactly supposed to be game changing. All the episodes are just Bungie tying loose ends and making more for the future, A.K.A Frontiers.
I’ll be so mad if they do that. She’s been out of the story longer than she’s been around. If anything it should be Eris but she already had her hive god arc
@@vruxdrossgaming actually that won’t happen, I don’t think. When Eris was flipping her hive cards for presumably this episode, she flipped Savathún and Xivu, herself, and lastly Oryx. If Sloane was going to inherit the throne, I think she’d be mentioned
Eramis is an oxymoron as well as a moron. Spends all of her time complaining about the Traveller and Humanity only to side with the very creature responsible for the destruction of her home. I accept that she hates Humans but even she cannot change the fact that it was her people who dealt the first strike, those first Fallen that arrived in system could have done anything other than resort to violence.
If I was an all powerful, unimaginable entity, and showed you your life under The Final Shape, you would serve me too. We know The Witness offered her Riis back. That alone would sway her regardless of anything. And until you have worked with people irl that have lost their homes to senseless war, you'll never comprehend how they can do something such as align with the enemy. Also, people forget that TFS campaign literally begins with his losing the fight. I'm not siding with the Guardians against the literal end of existence when they've proven incapable of stopping it. (Our Guardian is literally the only outlier between the Dark timeline and the present.)
"I accept that she hates Humans but even she cannot change the fact that it was her people who dealt the first strike, those first Fallen that arrived in system could have done anything other than resort to violence." I suggest re-reading the third paragraph of "Above All Else II: The Whispering Dark" To paraphrase, Mithrax's mother and her group tried to make peaceful contact with humanity first. Their efforts were repaid in blood. In their case humanity struck first. Though who fired the first shot is inconsequential at this point. The myriad of atrocities and reprisals that followed muddled any claim of justice either side could make.
Even better, since she's old enough to remember Old Riis (as Bungie love reminding us), she is THE person who knows everything and still chooses to incorrectly label us as thieves, killers and hypocrites as well as continually indirectly lay all blame for everything bad ever to happen to her people on us. Then when she gets the prize and gets to go remake home, she's gonna tell everyone that we're all cruel killers who never do anything good and would kill them all because one of them sneezed on our boots or something. Forget about the entire pirate history, all our fault.
@@DioStandProud 1. Yes I would serve the all powerful being holding me and my people hostage. 2. Yes, I would do what I was told if I was offered my home back, but ya know I'm also still being held hostage and being forced to watch my people who fail be turned into Scorn. I'm not going to love the being who's promising my home back just because they're promising to give my home back, I'm still gonna hate their guts. 3. Yeah, she watched us lose. Then she watched as somehow the Witness' plans never came to fruition and heard that we WON. Cool beans, so now where would that put me? Yes I hate the people I've been at war with and won't forgive them, but maybe I could let bygones be bygones. Hmm, I've been chased back to them... better just keep berating them and (incorrectly) calling them hypocrite and thief and keep telling them that they're the reason my people are in the state they're in. Why do I feel like I'm forgetting something important...? The Witness started all that. But it's dead and I have closure. These guardians and Mithraax have also offered me every opportunity to cease our aggressions, to save the people I claim to care so much about from further death... Hell, I've come close to that several times now, I even had moments of hesitation and doubt whilst working under the Witness... Nah, screw that. I got a shiny prize and I get rewarded for being an all round bad person by being allowed to go free with an incredibly powerful artifact, remake home and tell everyone that guardians and humanity are exclusively evil beings.
I mean, at the end of like act 1 I think, that’s exactly what crow tried to do. Appeal to fikrul by reminding him of Uldren. and that turns out bad as fikrul calls crow a “imposter” or smth
Yeah that was one of the story points I was most excited for with revenant but then they just said nah screw that and replaced what could’ve been very interesting character development for crow and some really cool interactions with fikrul with ERAMIS
Honestly as much as I HATE Eramis I could have put aside *most of my anger with her if we actually saw her change. Especially when she unexpectedly got the echo. She could have been a Kratos/unworthy servant like character were she tries to find redemption even though she doesn't deserve it. But nope, right when she's leaving the solar system she says she's gonna raise the next generations of Eliksny to fear and hate humanity. SHES LITERALLY GOING TO USE REVISIONIST HISTORY TO MAKE FUTURE GENARATIONS SPECIEST BECAUSE OF HER OWN BIASIST ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!
Personally would of liked to of seen eramis team up with fikrul for fikrul to finally see the pettiness of his revenge and maybe have an opening moment with crow being a better figure to follow than uldren. But this is bungie story telling. Come back in season 60 when eramis decides its time to hijack a pyramid ship and use the echo to finish off humanity.
Mithrax should've gotten the Echo instead. All those field ops, all those conversations between Eido and her father as he slowly loses himself to the curse of Nezarec. And then here comes Eramis with a fucking flashlight and undo's all of that work. Someone who invaded the reef and earth, tried to kill countless humans and awoken, bitch and moans that we fought back to prevent our extinction. Someone with arguably, the worst track record in being reliable. Also, I love how they bring back Skolas... and do absolutely nothing with it. At least in House of Wolves he was actually cool! Here he's just... an afterthought. Do you even get anything cool for killing him?
I at least appreciate that this episode felt like it ended. Echoes ended so anticlimacticly. I also did not enjoy a third of the story being the exact same Exotic mission 3 times in a row. Hope Heresy does better.
A war criminal that committed numerous atrocities and war crimes with NO REMORSE and even tried to help the witness enact the final shape. Love that we just set her free and let her go with an incredibly powerful weapon that’s literally comprised of both darkness and light and we have no idea the full extent of its capabilities and she could totally come back and kill us all.
Tell me why of all people, Eramis is "worthy" of the echo and not Variks? You know, the one that has done the most to save the Eliksni from getting the hive treatment from Humanity? The one that has gotten knocked down time after time, yet almost always tried to do the right thing? I really dont get it.
1. Eramis was supposed to be blood to Eido. Mother, aunt, or much older sister. The writers cut that idea but left the bond between the characters. 2. If the echo went to Mithrax he'd have been a chosen one, messianic figure and veritable God king of his people. But that would be patriarchal and oppressive. 3. Eido. Would be what everyone would expect. The new hope of her people, the chosen one, the only Eliksni with clean hands and a pure heart. That wouldn't be subversive and radical. Who else is left?
@@ThriceGreatHermes-c6pSkolas. One of the few eliksni/scorn who has the stones, and capability, of leading the Eliksni to a new era. Even over the dead body of humanity. If you wanted a villainous ending anyway.
Ima be real, I liked Act 2 the most and I liked some of the story telling like with Nezzract bur looking forward into Heresy, this season was bad (still better then echoes)
@massgunner4152 Won't happen. What they have to pay VAs is a drop in the bucket next to actual development costs. Nice to see your character is as sour as your opinions.
Unfortunately Bungie has constantly dropped the ball when it comes to Eramis, plenty of things they could have done with her but she was just a negative Nancy the whole time she existed in the story.
Yeah I think I heard that on some exotic ship lore tab it's mentioned that she *was* leaving before being idk, chased back or something? This is why you don't put important information on one of your 500 exotic ships lmao. Just like Crow's wish at the end of Season of the Wish, the one that brought Cayde back. Even with the tiny explanation in the campaign of TFS, they only say it was a wish that brought him back. They never mention that it's Crow having a conversation with (if I recall correctly) whom he believes is his sister and basically says, "I wish I could apologise to him". That's pretty god damn important...
The issue is they tried to make you sympathize with a monster who released the vex on her people, caused countless lives to be lost, let us not forget she tried to harm "her people" from seeking refuge with Mithrax in Beyond Light. But because bungie is full of bad writers who probably grew uo watching Steven Universe, where " You can always do better and be redeemed" , they wanted to force the audience to like her, so they had to degrade Mithrax to uplift Eramis.
Thankyou! I'm so glad I'm not the only that can see it. Maybe they aren't literally fans of Steven Universe. But they definitely have that, all bad guys are just future friends! 🎉 Me I grew up with Star Trek, for the progress and evolved sensibility you still had to fight sometimes.
Damn, this shi really did have so much potential. The whole concept of Fikrul being a real threat again and Crow having to figure out how to handle him was really intriguing. How tf did we get the blandest endings out of this shi ever 😆
Seeing it condensed down makes this episode honestly look worse, like I said previously I prefer the individual videos, but you do you. Though Bungie isn't releasing the story all at once anymore either, so it would also require more footage for you to do a video.
Remember when Fikrul threatened to 'rip this imposter' from Uldren's bones, and then he proceeded to actually do nothing to Crow at all? Like, I was expecting him to use the echo to try to do something horrific to Crow, and for there to be a major conflict between them ending with Crow finally putting Fikrul down permanently (if we didn't do it ourselves). Nope. Just Eramis whining like a juvenile delinquent with a chronic victim mentality. It was like listening to politics on the news but it was a fictional character, so I hated it even more and used fanfiction to check out of reality instead.
Glad to hear other people having the same gripes I had with this season. I was locked in on an awesome set of baron hunting Castlevania style, our guardian just rocking in and vampire executing fikruls court. Instead, it just turned into a soap opera and I had to listen to eramis berate us every single interaction and every time fikrul came up he was immune due to "the plot." Personally, I've never really liked eramis as a character but man, I feel like theres so much better that could have been done here, so much wasted opportunity
this really puts into perspective how much we're getting shafted with content. 30m of gameplay for 3 whole months, not to even mention the amount of bugs
Wish the story focused more on Fikrul. I always thought he was a cool villain and I feel like the story should’ve ended with a new Scorn/Fallen faction that would be a new enemy type. The Fallen are outdated as enemies lore wise, it would be nice to stop fighting them soon.
Bro right! That final message had me like, sister shut thy mouth before I come out there and turn you into an armor ornament and use the echo to build a trampoline park in the city. 😂
One of the most nothing seasons I've ever seen. I don't think I've had this much disinterest for the game since Curse of Osiris. Even little things like voice acting and presentation just felt... off?
Crow couldn't even be bothered to show up for most of it lol, not even Fikrul's death 😂 just a feather on the ground or wherever while he went off to play some pinball or something
Bungie for the love of God why almost every major or semi major villain we face is immortal?!?! We hold the light! not them! (exepct for Savathun) Oryx Is now comiong back despite our effortsin GOTD dungeon. Eramis should have died. Skolas should have remained dead, Oryx should have remained dead. Maya Sundaresh should have been nuked on sight. What aches me the most is that more often then not, there is some insane potential for lore and gameplay and it seem like you choose motes once again. Imagine if in Echos we were teaming up with a unique axis mind of the Vex with its own collective that helps us fight the choir of maya, and have it later be revealed that it is Asher Mir as a vex mind. How cool would it be if in Revanent there would be missions of disrupting shipments of Eliksni to be scorned, timed misison top 10 minutes, something quick and refreshing, destroying convoys lead by the Barons. or you know, atleast let us fight Mthrax and- oh, Kell of kells? So why do we still fight the fallen? atleast have a radio log that says: Soooo not all fallen accept mithrax becuase its not verbatim to the prophecy of bowing ketches and the Traveler did not choose him, so House Dusk is still hostile. sorry for the rant but come on bungie! shake Sol! Imagine if we were to fail in GOTD. We would have an celestial earthquake as an Oryx wielding the light is fighting off Oryx who hold the darkness. Have Savathun be on our side as Xivu Arath on the other, each with their own Oryx If we win, Oryx of the light will promise to leave sol forever, if Oryx of darkness win then GG humanity. time for a new raid. the new act have not started yet but Im DEAD SURE this wont happen. you might say, well bungie do as they please and have the nerrative ready. but come on. they wont take big steps, the game is dying and usually a major event with actual consequences is what helps. its like they have this big stove but they dont dare boil the pot with a stronger flame becuase limited gas... atleast the Sandbox changes regarding build crafting is nice, im genuinely hyped for the Telesto special ability they are adding.
Honestly, I'm okay with Eramis getting the echo, considering the alternative is having Nezarec obtain the echo, which is pretty stupid and bad, but with that being said, the whole plotline was poorly done, they made a shotgun the exotic mission weapon and, I'll be honest with you, after season of plunder, I haven't really been all that interested in the eliksni storyline. I'm a Hive enjoyer so I'm hoping Heresy will do me good, even though I know it won't.
I honestly like eido and how they handled her character this season. But i dont like they have to give EVERY villain we faced a redemption arc. Eramis didnt really need a redmeption arc imo. She should have left sol after she was unfrozen long ago.
I think Heresy is going to be that key jangling/memeber berrys episode that might get some players back just for the nostalgia factor of (cough somehow returns Oryx cough) the dreadnought. Depending on how it plays out (bungie has a habit of saving their best for last), it will be a determining factor for Destiny 2's future.
Eramis's story in this episode is like your watching an illegal immigrant who rape and kill innocent people didn't extend jail time but instead they given them redemption and got rewarded in the end.
Got through the story last week and this shit is so ass. I then twisted my right ankle at a right angle, shattered my kneecap and messed up my Gamer Thumb last week but that was STILL less painful than this shit.
I really didn’t like the research missions. It was literally just killing less than a dozen ads and listening to a yap session that had nothing important happen. Like the Act 3 set of field assignments were actually meaningless to the story. There were SO many better ways they could’ve put those resources to better use. Like maybe condensing them all down to one or two *actually* well thought out story beats.
Looks like bungie writers have fallen to "human baaad" syndrome, time to move to helldivers 2. Edit: It even doesn't make sense since *What did humanity do 2 seasons ago, before echos start falling out?* (Hint: Salvation's edge wipe timer)
I personally like how they wrapped up her character, she started out corrupted from her view on benefiting her people, then being pressured to serving the Witness and seeing her help Eido and Mithrax behind the scenes and even showing glimpses of her goodness shining through. And in the end helped us defeat Fikrul and removed a dangerous artifact from combat and going to rebuild Riis for her people and away from conflict.
@@Th4tOn36uy woke is a societal slang term for often far left individuals and mindsets that is labeled on people aggressively defending their self identity or attacking someone else for not being accepting of their ideas and “forward thinking”. The time stamp takes you to Mithrax aggressively telling Eido to shut up for offering her assistance, which initially COULD be construed as a woke tantrum except it was Nezarec talking through Mithrax. Therefore it’s not even Mithrax, and the author of the original post assumed a Bungie employee was changing an existing character when they weren’t.
Destiny needs to just end. Bungie needs to let the game die. Cause at this point all they’re doing is keeping a dead story and game on life support. It’s over. Let. The. Game. Die.
Watching people out themselves for lacking media literacy with the points on Eramis has been my favorite detail of this episode. Like y'all are openly aware we're not heroes? Thst Guardians have done things that 100% justify their ctrl alt del. Eramis, after everything we did to her people, owed us nothing. The Echo chose Eramis because she's the closest living link to Old Riis. Darkness functions off of memory so Light can give new form. It makes compete sense that the Echo would want someone thst can realize it's vision. Additionally, Eramis has long deserved an arc to if not redeem herself, to steer away from her twisted path.
Everything the Guardians did is self defense. The Fallen have no business infecting our solar system in the first place. It’s our home and her kind don’t belong here as far as I’m concerned.
@@darthkai3621 That's a mighty bold claim as if the whole system ever belonged to us lmfao. And gonna be fr chief, our Guardian has no agency, and if mine did, I 100% would've domed the Vanguard and left the Last City to the birds. Compilation of all 3 parts into one big video. Gonna do the Heresy video the same way I did the echoes video (so instead of a 10min vid per act I’ll do one big 20min vid when it’s over, less fluff and filler on my part).
I liked it when you did all 3 parts separately, but it's understandable, you should make content you enjoy.
@@vruxdrossgamingI’m mainly changing it because they’re going back to weekly.
Eramis: grows and develops.
Eramis during Revenant: I'm gonna ignore that.
Nuance.
@@DioStandProud

Gaurdians and House Light, know that they are also not innocent, but do want to make ammends. Hell, Eramis was even given a therapist.
For the remnants of House Devils, they just do not care. They just wanted to attack for scraps and power and The hand was raised for friendship post House Light and they rejected.

Beginning of echoes: Enemy has echo
End of echoes: Enemy has echo, fecks off
Beginning of revenant: Enemy has echo
End of revenant: "enemy" has echo, fecks off
How are these episodes wrapping up anything in the saga?
They aren't. Bungo lied.
Im beyond ligth she make some elikisnir rostage that IS true love for your own kind
@ryannsilva3194 Grammar. Go focus on that instead of Destiny lore.
Every breath Eramis uttered this season singlehandedly reset people's opinions on the Fallen since Splicer.
*Minor Rant Incoming:*
Ok, so to preface this, my hatred of Eramis is entirely because of her character and how badly she's been written since Beyond Light.
Then, she got frozen, her story ended and we flash-forward to Seraph (which was the final season I played before I quit Destiny for good)
She gets unfrozen by the Witness (who was directly responsible for the Whirlwind) and tries to blow up the Traveler using the Warsats.
Yeah, I was so confused when she was just... Back. With 0 explanation.
Eramis'entire story this season can be summed up with this; "No, ai cant be wrong, its everyone else who is wrong.", except she got a prize for no good reason except to finally get her out of the story so we can see her in a year or two on Old Riis where all her people will hate us because she tells them only of the evil Guardians who killed everyone they saw and leave out the fact we saved the universe.

and while personally I'm fine with Eramis's ending. at least she's now fucked off elsewhere and hopefully we won't see much of her again.
And it could have been fine if they were to actually explain it like in some theory like:
Crow: how can we be sure that Fikrul is dead forever?
Eido: I do not know Ahamkara magic, but if it is tied to Dark Eather then maybe since his corpse no longer posses it, there is no conduit for the magic to reanimate.

"I accept that she hates Humans but even she cannot change the fact that it was her people who dealt the first strike, those first Fallen that arrived in system could have done anything other than resort to violence."
I suggest re-reading the third paragraph of "Above All Else II: The Whispering Dark"
To paraphrase, Mithrax's mother and her group tried to make peaceful contact with humanity first. Their efforts were repaid in blood. In their case humanity struck first. Though who fired the first shot is inconsequential at this point. The myriad of atrocities and reprisals that followed muddled any claim of justice either side could make.
Bungie added that to make the Fallen less threatening than they were in D1
Even better, since she's old enough to remember Old Riis (as Bungie love reminding us), she is THE person who knows everything and still chooses to incorrectly label us as thieves, killers and hypocrites as well as continually indirectly lay all blame for everything bad ever to happen to her people on us.
Then when she gets the prize and gets to go remake home, she's gonna tell everyone that we're all cruel killers who never do anything good and would kill them all because one of them sneezed on our boots or something. Forget about the entire pirate history, all our fault.

But this is bungie story telling.
Come back in season 60 when eramis decides its time to hijack a pyramid ship and use the echo to finish off humanity.

Unfortunately Bungie has constantly dropped the ball when it comes to Eramis, plenty of things they could have done with her but she was just a negative Nancy the whole time she existed in the story.
It would’ve been a lot better if Fikrul slain Eremis. It’d save us the headache and builds up Fikrul to be a legitimate threat.

Even given Mithrax's condition this season, I'd choose his side even if he went full Nezarec. At least Nezarec is an honest monster.
Thankyou!

Watched this instead of buying and playing the episode. Much better experience here
Playing is actually pretty damn fun.
Those edits are hilarious 😂 I've subbed
"They took Eido,
Honestly, they can keep her."
Them's fightin' words, pardner.
30:15 my inner Skywalker agrees
14:10 its good to see halo 3 cone is alive and well in these troubling times
Yey seasonal summary :D
I honestly like eido and how they handled her character this season. But i dont like they have to give EVERY villain we faced a redemption arc. Eramis didnt really need a redmeption arc imo. She should have left sol after she was unfrozen long ago.
Eramis - complains about last city
Me - I'm not gonna stand here and listen to you badmouth the greatest democracy the world has ever known
Gonna make me commit a Worldwide Saint 14 Crusade on Riis if she doesn’t come back to help us at some point.
ANOTHER WEEK BOYS AND ANOTHER TWAAAAB
I think Heresy is going to be that key jangling/memeber berrys episode that might get some players back just for the nostalgia factor of (cough somehow returns Oryx cough) the dreadnought. Depending on how it plays out (bungie has a habit of saving their best for last), it will be a determining factor for Destiny 2's future.
Eramis's story in this episode is like your watching an illegal immigrant who rape and kill innocent people didn't extend jail time but instead they given them redemption and got rewarded in the end.
Eramis is more like a conqistsdor l.
Lmao, Uncle Ruckus jump scare 😂
20:36 Misraaks: I forgot the part where I asked
11:03
That's what happens when someone tries to fix the Telesto
19:35 legit filtered out the npc dialogue and seriously started watching family guy
The game ,the Lore has so much Potential they just do shit with it man 😪 here is a gamemod with motes oh nvm thats what the game is mad of
That a gigachad move eramis just puled
They feel like about black ops 6.
4:42 Aztecross located 😂
Bungie top tier dialogue writing:
- ffafffafafafffaffa
So did season of the splicer just never happen? Where did all the “both sides have blood on their hands but we can choose to be better” speeches go
Destiny went from 😄 to 😐
Man, 15 views in 2 minutes? Bro fell off.
I hate my choices
I hope you guys sold your Destiny stocks while they were high
Got through the story last week and this shit is so ass.
I then twisted my right ankle at a right angle, shattered my kneecap and messed up my Gamer Thumb last week but that was STILL less painful than this shit.
RIP my boi Fikrul, he was more interesting than Eramis ever was (sort of joking, but Eramis really was obnoxious this season. rip to john undead)
Edit: It even doesn't make sense since *What did humanity do 2 seasons ago, before echos start falling out?*
(Hint: Salvation's edge wipe timer)
16:46 Fr 💕
The only way to make Destiny 2 story interesting is to meme the shit out of it
Forcer we must cringe harder
All these moments will be lost... like silver in Eververse.
All these comments on bungie how bad the content is. I find better than anything weve ever gotten
Recycled Filler Episodes with Reused Assets,Enemies and Weapons
20:38 wow another personal opinion insert of some woke bungie employee about to ruin another father figure in destiny what a suprise
I…what?
what does woke mean?
@@Blanktester685 not how it was used here
Explain what woke is
@@Th4tOn36uy woke is a societal slang term for often far left individuals and mindsets that is labeled on people aggressively defending their self identity or attacking someone else for not being accepting of their ideas and “forward thinking”.
CHARLES, NO!!!!!
Holy christ I hate Eramis so much
Can’t relate, cause I didn’t play.
@@DioStandProud Redditor vibes.
@@darthkai3621 That's a mighty bold claim as if the whole system ever belonged to us lmfao.
And gonna be fr chief, our Guardian has no agency, and if mine did, I 100% would've domed the Vanguard and left the Last City to the birds. Like why am I breaking my neck to protect THIS heap of scrap? People in the city live in literal poverty yet Guardians have a giant tower with housing just because a magic space orb said "Paracausal". And if you read into Golden Age humans, we were teetering on becoming as crooked as the Lubraean regime. Far as I'm concerned, The Fallen coming for us was sweet ol karma for our crimes.
@@Banana-Boi people keen on name calling are 9/10 times outting themselves as the very name they uttered.
@@DioStandProud The "no u" too? Thanks for confirming.
