Been doing this recently...Its not a get fans quick scheme BUT it is absolutely helping me get actual fans that are sticking around and listening to my music and watching my videos as they come out. I feel like your advice is the realest out there but people don't wanna pitch it because it doesn't involve the artist spending their own money and its not an overnight success strategy it takes hard sustained effort and people just don't wanna do that.
I appreciate this comment soooo much because its so true!! Very few if anyone else in this industry is preaching & teaching this because it doesn't cost $$ and doesn't have some "get rich quick" scheme attached haha, it takes 10 years to be an overnight success is so so true and it all starts with the sustained effort for sure!
Honestly i feel like it's Welcoming to Carry out Market research before even recording as an artist so as to target particular audience at a certain time, mood and feeling. really i wish there was a tool to simplify that.Artist needs to promote inside the platform where the streaming revenue comes from so as to equal the energy, i'ld use ig,tiktok and Fb just to show the music is on and alive. Also i think Funs needs to know you from your music and not the other way round coz being an artist it's about music as the purpose,,,
I dunno man, not sure how I feel about this strategy. Yeah perhaps it works but making broad viral content just for the sake of it is not how I'd personally wanna go about it. This also seems to go against your (in my opinion) much better suggestions on how you got 10mil streams by testing content pre-release. I just think - imagine a band like Radiohead throwing out random 'viral' content to try to build an audience. I know we live in a different world now, but I wouldn't want to associate my music with that. That's my 2 cents anyway

Only Instagram, TikTok, and UA-cam? Do you stagger the 3? Thoughts on Threads and X - are they worth posting to?
Dumb question but so when do you post content around your original music ex. snippets lip sync videos??? Which form of content is that
Been looking on how to implement a sales funnel for my music, this was super helpful thanks dude!
