Andy is such a nice man loved this interview wish it could have been all the magic 4 you were talking to loved them soo much had Sweet posters all over my bedroom wall, going to see Andy's Sweet in Dec 2023 cannot wait.

Nice interview but with all due respect by 1968 Liverpool was no longer any kind of centre of the music world (41 mins). It’s particular brand of pop with its besuited grinning pop chuggers with guitars under their chins had by then been consigned to the chicken-in-a-basket circuit. Liverpool and heavier rock, to me anyway, never quite hit it off, and after about ‘65 the city didn’t really spark again until the new wave of the late 70s, after which it saw a new surge of talent.
