  • You can smoke ribs, grill ribs, slow cook ribs. In this video I’m making a couple racks of Baby Back Ribs in my oven, with one having some added flavor to mimic that wonderful smokiness you’d get from doing it on the grill.

I do my baby back ribs in the oven at 300° for 2 1/2 hours. They come out pretty moist and are just about falling off the bone. That’s how I like it.

My mother's recipe is to bake them at 350 for an hour and 15 minutes. The add the barbecue sauce and bake, uncovered for another half hour. They are always tender and never a problem. I always wondered why people bake these for 3 1/2 hours or more! LOL

I was broken hearted that I no longer have a pellet grill. :(. I love ribs but was skeptical how good they would be compared smoking them. I followed this vid step by step just using my own rubs and sauce and I got to say they were fantastic. Thank You for helping me morn the loss of my pellet grill with great oven ribs! Subscribed for sure!

WOW!!! We're isolating here in NYC and I decided to try this recipe...... We're got ribs from Omaha Steaks as part of a package deal...... Let me tell you...... This is amazing!!! We did exactly as you (but we grabbed a dry run recipe from online as we didn't have any in hand). Both sets of ribs are out of this world. Thank you for making this crazy time a little more enjoyable. Hope you and your family are well..... I look forward to watching more videos and seeing what we're gonna cook next.

In my humble opinion screw the commercial rubs. 99.9% of us can make our own awesome rubs ourselves. Of course I think ribs (or pulled pork, brisket, etc) should never be sauced.
Just my opinions but the great thing about barbecue is we do it our own way!

Good cooking method for the oven, but nothing traditional about cooking ribs with bbq sauce....the sauce should only be added when eating if any, never when cooking. Nice to see you appreciate a bit of tug and not "fall off the bone" ribs. Most seem to want fall off the bone, which isnt bbq either.

The only rule I follow is make it how you want it. Sauce or no sauce.

I follow this same way almost even the temp. But I foil the ribs to keep the juices in....that way you don't have to moisten/baste them.
I've done them this way and wrapped in foil and I prefer the foil wrapped, it seems to taste better when cooking in it's own juices.

anyone with a small apartment every try these? im wondering what 6 hours of 225 oven will do to the temperature of my apartment. i barely use the oven in the summer because it makes my place so hot, but im really craving some ribs

I do have a shorter method at a higher temperature which might work for better for you: ua-cam.com/video/04J9w4AqEiw/v-deo.html

My pressure cooker has spoiled me, they are fast fall off the bone juicy tender but I have a 6qt and I am doing 2 racks so I'll give your method a shot. I tend to like them real tender so I think I'll cover sooner and cook longer till I get that pull I am looking for. I will update.

I made them last night. I left them in the foil for 20 extra minutes because I like the meat to fall off the bone. They were absolutely delicious thank you so much for the recipe.

Thanks for continuous great flavor! I continue to make my ribs in this fashion. Sometimes I’ll take a few slices of these cooked ribs and throw them in the air fryer for some extreme glaze/crispness.
The oven holds heat better than my grill and the timing is usually spot on. The only times I’m having an issue is when I try to fit 3 racks on my small pan 😅, the Costco I go to sells 3 ribs in one so this always happens. I’ve learned to just season the last rib and wait until the first two are done.

Hey great video. Quick note you are saying Worcestershire sauce wrong. It's said just wussta sauce.

I have a smoker but it's 102° F outside right now. This seems like a better option. Thanks! 👍🏼
