- You can smoke ribs, grill ribs, slow cook ribs. In this video I’m making a couple racks of Baby Back Ribs in my oven, with one having some added flavor to mimic that wonderful smokiness you’d get from doing it on the grill.

Ribs came out beautifully. Thank you for the video 🙏🏾
Well, it's 4:48am and my wife is either going to wake up to tasty BBQ ribs or a house fire. Merry Christmas!
@Idontcare Anymore yeh I wanna know too 😂
Haha 433 am here friend! Hopefully we both come out of here with tasty ribs 😂
Hope your house is fine and your wife enjoyed some fire ass ribs bro
So, ribs or fire? Since you haven't responded to anyone, I am a bit worried.
No response, probably the latter
i respect your honesty when you tasted the rib and said what you thought you did wrong. Tired of seeing UA-camrs when tasting their food act like it was the most delicious thing of all time, 100 outta 10 pure perfection etc etc
Most of the time things turn out good since I've done them many times before, but not always :)
Maybe it is to them.
@@musicman195959 Nope
I do my baby back ribs in the oven at 300° for 2 1/2 hours. They come out pretty moist and are just about falling off the bone. That’s how I like it.
My mother's recipe is to bake them at 350 for an hour and 15 minutes. The add the barbecue sauce and bake, uncovered for another half hour. They are always tender and never a problem. I always wondered why people bake these for 3 1/2 hours or more! LOL
hello there. I did 8 racks inside, the first time ever just as good as my smoker and I blame you for my family and friend now always wanting to come over on the weekends to eat.
will there ever be peace once again in my house
thank you for your videos
Love them.
LOL. I take full responsibility :)
I just put my ribs in at noon... doing a 4 hour @ 225 f° cook time without foil and then 1.5 @ 255 f° hours with foil then broil to give it that crust at 350 for 5 mins...
I was broken hearted that I no longer have a pellet grill. :(. I love ribs but was skeptical how good they would be compared smoking them. I followed this vid step by step just using my own rubs and sauce and I got to say they were fantastic. Thank You for helping me morn the loss of my pellet grill with great oven ribs! Subscribed for sure!
Ok Ry, I've looked at a few videos on oven ribs the 1st thing I'm concerned with is temperature. When you said 225' I knew I had to check you out. This is Larry from the CLE.
Low & Slow Bro , thanks for the Video 👊👍😀
Thanks a million, Ry! I had just started my ribs on the grill and of course.... it started raining as it is rainy season here in Florida. 🌩🌧☔ Your oven tips saved the day. Thanks again! 😁
Let no rain stop a rack of ribs :)
Agreed! Same here!
Im watching football so it's in the oven not the grill
that guitar right when u said "lets get em in the oven" went perfectly with the shot and it put me in such a good mood
Glad you liked that :)
That exact scene made me want to ask this guy for a bit of em 😂
This was a cinematic masterpiece everything about it and the music choice was great! I feel encouraged to try this for the first time ever because of this video.
Nice looking ribs. Some of the best ribs I've ever mad have been in the oven. I've used the liquid smoke before and it makes a difference... a little goes a long way. Nice job last night on the Hot Seat too!
Thanks, my friend :)
Making these tonight ! Comment or msg me if you would like to see my final product !
Had it in mind to do some back ribs in the oven like this, but ruined my first attempt. Turned them to mush. Seeing your video, I want to give it another try.
Would love to see your ingredients list, recipe and cooking instructions in the comment notes you post, so they’re easy to find and locate when I want to do these type of ribs. Thanks again for making these videos!
WOW!!! We're isolating here in NYC and I decided to try this recipe...... We're got ribs from Omaha Steaks as part of a package deal...... Let me tell you...... This is amazing!!! We did exactly as you (but we grabbed a dry run recipe from online as we didn't have any in hand). Both sets of ribs are out of this world. Thank you for making this crazy time a little more enjoyable. Hope you and your family are well..... I look forward to watching more videos and seeing what we're gonna cook next.
Im making these right now.
Really appreciate the tips toward the end of the video. Definitely having these tomorrow night!
Omg I tried this with a few modifications like I covered the ribs with foil right away, cooked on 300 with Memphis Bbq seasoning for three hours. They were so juicy, flavorful and tender. Thanks for the video, I’m hooked on your channel now. 😃
Trying this method tonight! 🤞
Sean Dvorak I’m sure they’re going to be delicious 😋
Im trying it your way but waiting half hour before adding bbq sauce
Thats looks Great Ry, it is exactly the recipe I was looking for is looking Amazing ribs thank you so mouch.
definitely to do them on a Sunday to surprise the family thanks again .
Thank you for the video. For any home cooks who don't have 5 hours,I've cooked ribs on the grill and in the oven at 275 degrees for 90 minutes and then another 90 minutes wrapped with great result. Final glaze for 15 minutes.
I was dreading the 5 hour cook time. lol Thank you for this useful info. : )
Great
The oven is underestimated.
Hi RY....I did it in my first UA-cam BBQ video ever....4 weeks ago! Specially for a friend in two options...oven and gas grill! It's "Bavari'can style" :-) Best regards....from Bavaria 🍺 Bubba
New subbie here....Looks fantastic!!! Gonna try this recipe today...wish me luck! Thanks for sharing your expertise. Look forward to more!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Ry, amazing recipe, which I'm gonna save uo for uo Canadian fall / winter. For now, I'm sticking to your outdoor cookware vids !
While the weather's good you gotta take advantage of it :)
Such a homely video , like my dad teaching me to cook. You did this so well. Thank you.
I'm trying the liquid smoke and brown sugar, sounds delicious.
I made these without the liquid smoke and they were GREAT! Used my own rub with a brown suger base.
they look great, and your right don't always have to use a grill or stick burner, great job mate
Hahaha I am doing this recipe as we're speaking, just one problem. I set the oven for 225 degrees, Celsius! God damnit! Luckily it was only in for like 20 min or so, but still! I watched another recipe and thought; woah this dude has much lower temp (like 120 degrees celsius). Which made me thinking ! Hope it turns out ok :(
I like your technique of cooking without the foil and then wrapping them later in foil. They look great!
This is an amazing recipe I laid mine on the smoker for a few hours then used your technique and I’ll tell it was awesome man thanks for the video
Ry, I very much loved this video since it was excatly what i assume a lot of home can do without a possibility to use any kind of fire type of grilling and chilling at home❤️ie appartments in the nordic area! Thank You Ry, this was so nice video and keep up the good way of nice vlogs! You you are a great master👍👍👍👌❤️
Hi.Ry I just made these today. Exactly the same way you did. My parents came by and there's no left overs. They were perfect. Thanks again. Love your cooks.
Wow- glad I ran across your amazing video!! I just got done telling my friend yesterday that I wish I had a gas grill only to be able to prepare ribs. This morning I searched for oven prepared ribs because I already have a way to control temperature. Thanks a million!
Trying your rib recipe for the 2nd time. My ribs came out GREAT!! Best tin video ever!!
Can you do the same cooking time and technique with saint Lois style ribs
Very similar. Will likely take a bit longer. Maybe an hour or so.
So many ways to do ribs. This is great, especially if you have a hankering for ribs and it's raining, too hot or cold out, or you don't have outdoor cookers as you mentioned. If you do'em this way a enough times you could probably produce some very good ribs. Therse looked fabulous.
Thank you, Phil!
Can't afford stuff for my smoker so I'm going to try this method tomorrow with my two racks. I'm marinating mine over night tho that's the only difference
What marinade do you use?
NO,NO,NO Ry come a little closer so I can thump U on da forehead 😂 I had to stop cutting to come and leave msg..lol
Yall dnt sleep on it..
BAKE:
225 - 2hrs Uncover
250- 2hrs Cover
Maybe abt 10mins BROIL on 250 ( keep eye on it)
THESE TURNED OUT SOOOOOOO GOOD...TY RY 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘😘😘👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
And not over cook and Tender 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Thanks Ry,was having ribs tonight, used your recipe.Fantastic! I did add some salt to the brown sugar one.Having it with some bbq beans!🇨🇦👍😎
Ribs and beans are my fave :)
Had the ribs RyI preferred the dry rub rack, although I salted the other one,I could have give it more, and a little more smoke liquid,Still they were great Thanks!
So glad you didn't cook these like most recipes in the oven. Most cook them till there is no bite just fall apart. Those look at the end like they were cooked in a pit. Awesome job bro! Have a great weekend!!
You have a great weekend, too, my friend :)
I love these ribs, my family wants them at Christmas dinner lol. Thxs
Merry christmas brother! Ima going to make them for christmas too!
We're doing the same thing!! New tradition comin down!! Merry Christmas everyone.
Trying this tomorrow, wish me luck
Hi Ry great job last night on the Hot Seat. I really enjoyed it. It's funny how now when I hear the word oven I wince lol. Conditioning is a powerful thing. Nice cook amigo and see you soon. My God Jim I'm a Doctor! Not a Pitmaster!
I run at 275 for 2- 3 hrs
Here we have winter, so no smoking for months. I do the ribs like this as well, but with a 2 hour wrap, and they turn out great. Not smoker great but still great... :-) Not as much fun either... :-)
Wow this fellow means Business. And we Thank you so much. For your expertise. We tried them. And borther I' was impressed. It really is way much better not having it fall off the bone. Thanks again. N.J👍🥰🇺🇲💙
Right now its 1° outside with 8 inches of snow around my Traeger. I'm looking to do a rack of St Louis style for the Super Bowl.
Nice cook. Glad you show that not every meal needs to be made outside :)
Yeah gotta give the oven some screen time :)
Looks good, Ry! Easily my favorite cooking channel on UA-cam. Random question: what latex gloves do you use?
Thanks! I have them listed in my Amazon Store in the video description. They are Nitrile Gloves. Work great :)
Thank you Ry, your videos make my days brighter! Loving the vibes!
Ribs came out pretty good for my first time. I could have seasoned them better. I’m always afraid to over season food. So I’ve got some learning to do. But the family loved the ribs. So that’s awesome! The for a great video!
excellent video I love cooking in the oven too. cooked pork shoulder, ribs, brisket. Surprised this video does not have more views. just keep spreading the love the word will get out!!
Two things, when you used the 50/50 binder, actually how much of each , did you use. In term of Tsp and TBSP. Second where did you get the rub from. I'm in Texas and want to know. Thanks alot for your help.
I actually say in the video how much of each is used to make the binder. And the rub is from Heaven Made Products: www.heavenmadeproducts.com/
Damn them ribs looks good can’t wait to try.. I don’t like them fall off the bone either
thank you sir. with the help of your video the ribs I cooked today are an absolute success, even with a trip to the hospital (not related to cooking. haha). i will be watching more of your content.
Nice video buddy, you look like a happy guy just having fun in the kitchen.
Nice to see!
I built my smoker and made these in the oven. I would not use the brown sugar again. But yes salt is great. I love your recipes. Please carry on experimenting and letting us know your results
Man I'm really tempted to trying these. The problem is that the minimum temperature of my oven is 180 °C (356 °F), so I'm not sure that would work.
This incredibly easy to understand and follow unlike a lot of cooking videos on youtube. Great video. Thanks to you I'm gonna go make some proper ribs.
or u live in Australia and its on fire so cant bbq
Would love for you to do many more videos exactly like these.
So many bbq sauces have smoke flavor in them. I'm going to try your recipe. If my BBQ sauce has smoke already I won't need liquid smoke. Thanks!
Great Job 👏🏾 looks delicious 😋
I just put mine in the oven. I tried the liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce& brown sugar recipe.
Wow!!! Those were not fall off the bone (mushy), they were tender like a ribeye steak!
Now they've got those electric smokers with wood pellets - highly controlled temperature and time.
Super easy to follow and my family LOVED how these ribs came out!! They were delicious! 😋
thanks for such a good explanation, greetings from mexico
by far the best oven ribs ive seen yet
Thank for the video. I'm just like you. I don't like fall-off-the-bone Ribs either. I just can't figure why people rave so much about them. It took me a while to find someones recipe for the "manly" Ribs and nut the ones that don't require any teeth.
Thanks brother !
In my humble opinion screw the commercial rubs. 99.9% of us can make our own awesome rubs ourselves. Of course I think ribs (or pulled pork, brisket, etc) should never be sauced.
Just my opinions but the great thing about barbecue is we do it our own way!
Mass citizen on lockdown - I live in an apartment and did this today. Thank you for an awesome recipe man, things just got better!
Great to hear!
Awesome looking ribs Ry! I am making oven baked ribs for my dad this afternoon! Great video
Great! Thanks :)
curious that you would wrap at the end of cooking rather than at the beginning. I think wrapping first and then dry baking them would allow for a better outcome for the bark
Nice cook !!! As you are to Tri Tip I am to ribs. Love them any way cooked. I do this in real cold weather. I also cook them with just salt and pepper to eat with Sauerkraut. Great lesson... I enjoyed the replay of the hot seat last night...
Thanks! I like that sauerkraut idea :)
How do you clean your cookie sheet after your done? I always get the sugar baked on ...
Soak and scrub. It's not fun :)
Put in the oven while self clean is on
Good cooking method for the oven, but nothing traditional about cooking ribs with bbq sauce....the sauce should only be added when eating if any, never when cooking. Nice to see you appreciate a bit of tug and not "fall off the bone" ribs. Most seem to want fall off the bone, which isnt bbq either.
The only rule I follow is make it how you want it. Sauce or no sauce.
I follow this same way almost even the temp. But I foil the ribs to keep the juices in....that way you don't have to moisten/baste them.
I've done them this way and wrapped in foil and I prefer the foil wrapped, it seems to taste better when cooking in it's own juices.
(Ry)ght on! Looks great. Excellent video. Very helpful. Wish me luck, my cooking has a tendency to go awry. Definitely wont look forward to washing that pan though..lol
I am following the recipe right now . I am from Romania 🇹🇩 and i am 17yrs . Love the video because is so relaxing .
Wish me luck making my first ever ribs
I made some Rips your way and god these ribs was amazing.
I love you!! Greetings from
Buffalo Ny
I winder how it would taste with the liquid smoke and that texas rub 🤔
anyone with a small apartment every try these? im wondering what 6 hours of 225 oven will do to the temperature of my apartment. i barely use the oven in the summer because it makes my place so hot, but im really craving some ribs
I do have a shorter method at a higher temperature which might work for better for you: ua-cam.com/video/04J9w4AqEiw/v-deo.html
My pressure cooker has spoiled me, they are fast fall off the bone juicy tender but I have a 6qt and I am doing 2 racks so I'll give your method a shot. I tend to like them real tender so I think I'll cover sooner and cook longer till I get that pull I am looking for. I will update.
Thank you
I’m doing 3 racks RIGHT NOW!! Real excited 😜
I made them last night. I left them in the foil for 20 extra minutes because I like the meat to fall off the bone. They were absolutely delicious thank you so much for the recipe.
I’m so excited, these are in my oven right now! So happy I finally found the liquid smoke!!! I will let you know how they turn out 😃
How did it turn out
Very true John
Oh my goodness! I cooked these today...AWESOME! I love flavor and these ribs tasted GREAT!!😀❤❤❤❤
Thanks for continuous great flavor! I continue to make my ribs in this fashion. Sometimes I’ll take a few slices of these cooked ribs and throw them in the air fryer for some extreme glaze/crispness.
The oven holds heat better than my grill and the timing is usually spot on. The only times I’m having an issue is when I try to fit 3 racks on my small pan 😅, the Costco I go to sells 3 ribs in one so this always happens. I’ve learned to just season the last rib and wait until the first two are done.
Damn! I wish I could find a fat slab like that in my area.
I made these last Sunday for the superbowl and they were INCREDIBLE and so easy!! I am making more today! It's officially in my dinner lineup.
Weather forced us inside... so I did these!!! Dayum good!!
Not a bad substitution :)
First! Oven ribs are much easier to make than bbq ribs.
I don’t like liquid smoke. It tastes bitter but maybe I used too much🤷🏽♀️
Hey great video. Quick note you are saying Worcestershire sauce wrong. It's said just wussta sauce.
Easy for you to say :)
Glad I found this. Subscribed
I have a smoker but it's 102° F outside right now. This seems like a better option. Thanks! 👍🏼
