Im always playing an acoustic hate plugging in but got 11s on my jazz box and its much better ... not sure what was on it before possibly 9s... still like the tone of acoustic but its kind of harder to play.... if you have done those BH long short things and some stretchy chords are a little tougher. Jimmy Bruno says guitar is fn hard

Since you mentioned plowing Harmonic Minor through minor 2-5´s, have you tried using Melodic Minor?
In order for it to work you´ll have to use a melodic minor for each chord. A locrian #2 on Am7b5 (6th mode of C melodic), D altered on D7b9 (7th mode of Eb melodic) and G melodic on Gm6 or G dorian. It works especially good when using the arpeggios in melodic minor through the changes.

i used to play melodic minor half step up from alt doms all the time but ive drifted away from that thinking…
