(which is why I can't wait for 'em to come back ;) ) They were playing Mutations Festival in Brighton, Feb 2019 - great festie though; DID catch Flamingods, Snapped Ankles, Josefin Ohrn and The Liberation, Goat Girl, and White Denim :)

"You are the product of a happenstance" is a partial acceptance that their existance is a pure coincidence. "You dream about the other side of the road (to) ... Fantasize about your ghost." Referring to how the person imagines themselves as the opposite of what they are. The ghost is the complete reverse of them, but they want to be this ghost. "While you hold the wheel close" "With your steel-toed boots, don't want to hit the road coast to coast." These are opposite statements. The first says that the person pretends they're a free spirit while driving, imagining walking across the country in steel toe boots, often associated with "tough guys." "You had the notion that you're killing time, but the clock is a wreck and you've already died." The clock most likely refers to the time they spend in their life. "You had the notion that you're killing time" is the person pretending that this life they're living is temporary, and they'll be free soon. "The clock is a wreck and you've already died." Indicates that in reality, this person is not enjoying life and they missed their chance to strike out free on their own. They're trapped, deadend. The final lines say that they're buying time before leaving to be this ghost, waiting to go out the door and not say goodbye. Hating the "stupid face" is the person hating themselves, they'll leave their life to try to be this persona soon, and leave this stupid face and cowardly personality behind. Or atleast, thats what they choose to believe.
