I had the pleasure of supporting them with my band a few months ago while they toured the UK. The level of musicianship live was astonishing, and they were lovely people to boot. Glad you're getting the credit you deserve, Ohmme!
Ohmme is a good example of creative musicianship. I really think that the amount of musicianship to compose these songs far exceeds "top songs" today. A lot of "Top charts" song today usually follow a basic recipe or pattern of composition. Nothing wrong with it, but it's like doing a fill in the blanks with many possible answers. Bands like Ohmme portray their creativity with bravery. All the songs they played in the video doesn't have a set genre, but possesses one similar character-- Fascinatingly Weird. It's so weird that it's actually good! I hope musicians like them rise up faster and share the top charts.
Discovered this band from this set. I knew macie from kids these days a band she was in years ago with big ego Vic Mensa. I’m so glad she is killing it musically this band captures such beautiful emotion I can’t help but listen to this multiple times every day. Their recorder music is fantastic but it doesn’t capture the emotion from this set. First time it had me in tears honestly I love such raw energy it’s moving.
I've watched nearly all of NPR's Tiny Desk performances and have discovered many new artists and new music through this program, but this is the one that I regularly revisit. So good.
wowowwow their voices are so good together. Such cool stuff! Agreed, they're fun and creative with music in a similar way that Dirty Projectors are- I love it!
I had the good fortune of seeing them live on tour with Iron & Wine in Toronto last year. I was blown away after the first song, and immediately proceeded to buy all their music from their stand on the intermission. All the songs on this video are from their full length album "Parts", but you should also check out their debut EP. From their debut EP: Woman - ua-cam.com/video/FqX66tFUxRI/v-deo.html Fingerprints - ua-cam.com/video/okyvN2AXPwc/v-deo.html They have released other stuff here on youtube, and definitely worth checking out.
Salu2.
Was thinking that they soundEd familiar and might’ve toured with a solo Jeff Tweedy...then they sang oh-oh-o-o-o and I realized it was them. Good stuff Ohmme.
Why Frank Zappa this is way to conventional and simple comparing to Zappa... don’t put him in your list please. He ain’t no hipster Edit: I agree with the rest though
Yay, they still exsist and they have a drummer now! They were on audiotree couple years back. Bully Clouds is amazing! I still come back to it from time to time
I love that last track, has a real Fiery Furnaces vibe, but these guys definitely have their own thing going on , and it's very cool! :) Great session.
1:46 the best riffs i've seen in my entire life existence. I've never thought that skill exist. Damn, even Jimi Hendrix, Slash, and Van Halen skills combined can't surpass that shit. Seeing that makes me want to sell my guitar and quit music anymore. You deserve to be called The Guitar Goddess. Just damn.
Their vocal synchronization is fantastic!

1) This is weird.
2) This rocks
3) I think I love it.
My thoughts exactly. Consider me a fan here forward lol

Nothing really new on them. It's pretty much like Dirty Projectors.
Perhaps my favourite Tiny Desk yet. This was wild. Yet another great band discovered via Tiny Desk.

Anything Macie Stewart touches turns to gold!!!Love her.
Reminds me of early St. Vincent.
Like if Feist and St Vincent collaborated, after listening to PJ Harvey and The Pixies. Or maybe not, I don't know.
Love this band ! Thank you NPR !!!
So nice to hear choruses and bridges for a change ! 😂😂😂😂
Saw them live a year ago and it was honestly one of these performances I've ever seen
I've just discovered this band and my soul is overjoyed. So much awesomeness in just 16 mins, amazing.
You guys are absolutely incredible. Cornelius, Jane's Addiction vibes for me. Awesome.
Excellent. The guitar work on the last song reminds me of Richard Lloyd and Tom Verlaine of Television. Good band and so original
I had no clue what to expect when i clicked on this but damn this was weird and wonderful.
Some moments of brilliance. Love that these gals are out there, taking chances.

I dig that 1st song.
Was thinking that they soundEd familiar and might’ve toured with a solo Jeff Tweedy...then they sang oh-oh-o-o-o and I realized it was them. Good stuff Ohmme.
Sonic Youth, Frank Zappa, St. Vincent, Queens of the Stone Age, all wrapped up in one perfect package.
Tune yards, dirty projectors
Why Frank Zappa this is way to conventional and simple comparing to Zappa... don’t put him in your list please. He ain’t no hipster
Edit: I agree with the rest though
So amazing to hear live🔥They played at Rosbrook Studio in Dixon Illinois.
Yay, they still exsist and they have a drummer now! They were on audiotree couple years back. Bully Clouds is amazing! I still come back to it from time to time
