I love Jen Zee's artwork as much as the animation. The game can diarrhea Christmas lights when you wreck shop (as Shelbie would say) but its so colorful.
Why do people like to pick on Hades? He's one of the most honorable of the Greek gods and actually treats his wife with respect. Plus Cerberus in ancient greek roughly translate to spotted. So he named his pet dog Spot!

He's actually treated relatively well in this game. If not positively (it's from his rebellious son's perspective), then at least sympathetically. Also, you can pet Cerberus.

compared to like Zeus or Poseidon who has too many offspring to care about , Zagreus is hades' only offspring(i may be wrong , last time I played this game NYX still wear a cloak)
and hades definitely cares a lot for Zagreus even though he doesn't show it

I love the way Sisyphus is portrayed in this game; I hope we get a sequel where we play as him through a boulder-rolling-rogue-like.
My favourite is Thanatos, with his 'you are making a big mistake, but i will help you anyway' attitude.
As much as I'd love to see a sequel, Supergiant Games tends to make one-off games, and besides, Hades works best as a one-off game I feel.

Found out that the mc’s name is Zagreus, god of rebirth, and he’s the son of Hades and Persephone (Zeus and Persephone in some renditions). Oh man, will we get to see Persephone in this game too????
Maybe she’s on the surface, taking care of spring, and that’s part of why Zagreus wants to go to the surface so badly.

That opening animation reminds me a lot of Spencer Wan's work. Holy crap! That might have sold me on this game.
Edit: My instincts were right--Spencer Wan *did* have a hand in making this.

I just saw a video about how he accidentally created his own studio for this animation. IIRC, he was gonna do it freelance, but Supergiant, either purposefully or not, mentioned that it'd be easier on their accountant if he were a studio. So he just went and became a studio.

All of Supergiants games are in the made with somewhat of the same artstyle, the games are amazing, great stories, music, characters, I will recommend all of them
Well I know many people don't really know Supergiant Games that much, but as a big fan of their work all of their games have been top quality and amazing gaming experiences.
It's actually quite a shame that their most loved games like Bastion or Transistor never got cult status like Undertale did, the developers honestly deserve more attention.

Pixel art nowadays is not only a retro throwback there is plenty of great pixel art. It's also just more feasible for small studios to work with pixel art.

You know, when I first saw this trailer, I didn't think much of it. Not that I dislike Supergiant Games, but I did not expect this one in particular to blow up the way it did. Fantastic game and well-deserving of the hype it got!

I cannot wait to get this on the switch, especially since you can transfer saves from the PC. And the trailer itself just looks cool! I would watch a tv series about it!
Ok im someone who has played the beta on pc and just let me say this game is worth every penny. The story is compeling, characters react to your progress, the diolog is funny and charming. And the combat is fun and ballenced with 6 different weapons to choose from each requireing a vastly different playstile. This is simply a game you can play for hours and not get tired of it for how fun it is.

I have not touched the beta or whatever the early preview versions of the game were. Been waiting patiently for it to officially come out. I thought it was coming on PC first for a while so i would have been fine getting it there but the fact that it is on the Switch is even better! Now we just need Pyre.
