"Another employee exodus appears to be underway at Twitter as many workers rejected Elon Musk’s terms for staying with the company, choosing instead to depart, according to multiple current and former employees.
As the deadline approached for Twitter employees to respond to Elon Musk’s ultimatum to commit to working in an “extremely hardcore” fashion at the company or leave, some employees appeared to publicly indicate they had chosen the latter option. On Thursday afternoon, Twitter staffers began posting the salute emoji, which has become a signal that someone is exiting the company. One Twitter employee said in a tweet that deciding to join the company was “one of the easiest decisions ever made. Deciding to leave today was 100% the opposite.”

I guarantee a company with public stakeholders does not have 10 managers for each engineer. It's more likely that 1 engineer is working on 10 projects with different project managers. But let's be real -Musk wasn't there long enough to know even that...which is why he's begging people to come back to work. I like to call it crappy management.
When Elon Musk said that he wanted to buy Twitter I said that this would mark the end of the world's most popular social media platform and I was right. Musk within the first week sold 75% of the staff, dissolved the board of directors, sacked fur moderators, and now he has asked moderators who I can only assume are Musk supporters to seek out employees who post negative tweets about Musk and they will then report this to Musk so he can deck these individuals because Elon Musk is thin-skinned and it bruised his alter-ego.
6 months to a year, this is what I will give Twitter and Musk will start to shut down Twitter offices to console assets, this will be a clear sign that Twitter is financially in trouble as you don't close offices to console assets unless there is a financial problem. Businesses are leaving Twitter and taking their advertising elsewhere advertisement on Twitter brings in revenue through advertisement and if these companies leave Twitter that be a major problem for Twitter.
I am a Network Engineer I've worked for some of the biggest companies on the planet over the last decade and Twitter is a company that needs a massive team of employees to make it work. A social media platform like Twitter costs millions in revenue to keep the service running and if Musk starts to cut corners and reduce the cost of running Twitter as a Network Engineer that will affect the running of the platform. Musk is a billionaire who bought a new you and as with all billionaires they get bored with their new toy and within a year they move on. I've seen it happen with so many billionaires who swoop in and say they are going to save the company and then show their true colours within the first week of taking over as the new owner.
