i say this respectfully but i never saw david as a magician, but more like a survivalist and endurance performer. to me that that's way better than a magician though because it's no tricks or cheats.
i never knew about his depression either. it makes me wonder if the reason why he put himself through all of this pain on the outside of his body was to drown out all of the internal mental pain on the inside.
