I swear those raptor UGs have freakin' Adamantium-plated armor or something.
Christ, I can not tell you how much seething rage I was emitting while doing this mission.
Those raptors are a bitch, even with the help of the guide. Luckily I did manage to win with 3 seconds to spare.
The worst part of this mission is, after going through all the effort of killing everything; the cyborgs, the dwarf gekkos, and even the gekko... When it comes down to just the two raptors... Once you kill one of them, the other one instantly goes apeshit and spams its own rockets and aggros you to fucking death with no rest whatsoever. Its sole purpose is to crush any hopes of beating this mission that you may have had left in you. FUCK THIS MISSION!

Yeah seriously, fuck this bullshit. The missiles never lock on, Raiden just stands there after firing instead of running when I want him to, and I have to restart the whole fucking thing because of the raptors. Fuck the person who made this. I can't even win, let alone get gold.
use Rocket launchers and grenades? clean your blade off at the end anyway for Badass points.
The one thing i did not like in rising was the sub wepons and vr17 just says fuck you to the player

oh my god fuck this mission who thought fighting super fast enemies with the slowest weapon imaginable would be fun. this BLOWS I WANNA DIIEEEE
So far this was the most hardest, most frustrating VR Mission to get a 1st Rank On, all cause of the last part, died so many times on it haha

The first two parts of this mission, I have down pretty well. I even got to the last part a couple times with 99% health, and then those damn raptors just get so lucky jumping in and kicking sometimes. It would have been fine if you could at least block just to give you some breathing room. None of the other missions gave me even close to the amount of trouble as this one. I'm not even going for first place. I don't really care about the sword you get. I just want the last outfit. *sigh*
Frustrating is NOT the word for this! The word to describe this mission is Root Canal!

Sub-weapon missions should not exist... I guess they ran out of ideas for VR missions or something. I seriously hated this mission with a passion. I hope there isn't a lot of this type of bs in the DL-VR...
can someone please tell me why those raptor things take longer to kill than the geko?
because the raptors are stronger and more modern than gekko
This reminds me of bloody palace from DMC3 which was tough and the Bayonetta challenge rooms. I guess to Platinum games this is the MG version of challenge rooms, I still feel ninja gaiden some of the hardest challenge rooms like when you fight 3 bosses that were already tough solo but then you have to fight all 3 of them at once ,to this day I still cant beat it.
You dont have to use targeting lock all the time. Just double tap the fire button when a bunch of enemies are clunched together.

Very helpful and quick firing the Nikita helps out a lot on the last bit.
you can just quick tap left bumper to quick fire rockets except the 2 dudes on the top which need accuracy
That enemy at the end took quite awhile to get him down such a pain
mission 18 i cleared in under 5 min. mission 19 cleared in 6 and a half min. this mission the closest i got was 3.30.23. fucking tripods from the raptors survived. as for the vr missions in general i had better luck with the no damage trophies against the bosses in rev. mode

And yet there will be 30 more. Hopefully they'll be more fun then frustrating. Only 17 - 19 gave me any major issues though. Hopefully there will only be a few really tough ones, but none tougher then those three. Wishful thinking though given that its Platinum games. Just as long as there isn't anything as hard as Vanquish's Tac Challenge #6. I'll be wanting my 100% trophy completion back when they come out.
Use the most grandes as you can in the last part and it will be pretty easy

This is a Hack and Slash game, why do we have to bother about the subweapons?
The only sub weapons you'll need is the homing missiles for the out of bounds flying ugs and the em grenades for stunning foes everything else is worthless

Whoever thought it was a good idea to make a VR mission like this should be fired. Out of a cannon into the sea.
Its not even real difficulty, its just baiting (IE having it do something ineffective by random chance) the AI into doing EXACTLY what you need it to do or praying its not really dickish in hopes that you get the time right. Not exactly fun or enthralling. Whats fucking worse is I need this to unlock the HF longsword, so now you HAVE to put up with their shitty VR design. not cool.
To me this was the most annoying VR mission if only because it is so wonky aiming with that shit. I would fire one of the rpg kids off the block jump up and aim at the other and every time I would aim at the other one up there it would come up facing the other way it was dumb. I never use those sub weapons anyway, but if I do I prefer the blind fire in addition to some sword play.
Damn targeting lock keeps locking onto other targets causing my screen to keep jumping. Got 3:30:63 which sucked cause of that. Damn raptors are a pain in the ass when they go berserk.

Who the hell actually uses sub weapons to fight in this game? I can understand the rp and the emp grenades but the rest are just terrible

Worst VR mission. The raptors have dumb luck homing slash you cant dodge in this. Never again.
