Omg Valentina! I am so happy for you. Your joy and excitement is just oozing out. You are fortunate to work with such an iconic department store, but they are fortunate to be able to work with you also. You are truly a gem to watch.
If you haven't read it already, I highly recommend a book by Betty Halbreich, a legendary Bergdorf personal shopper entitled "I'll Drink to That." I really enjoyed it!
I’m a petite senior and have always had to have clothes tailored. Back in the day when I was building a professional wardrobe, the boutiques usually had a tailor and was included in full price items and very fairly priced on sale items. I have found a good tailor but it is expensive and I do mentally add that on to the price when I am evaluating how much I like it.

Great advice, Valentina. I feel I shop with much more intention and a more critical eye since watching your videos. I think I was kind of scattered with my purchases before, without considering the "big picture". I think it's saved me money, also. Thanks for the great ideas and guidance.

I've literally never heard you mention Bergdorf's and I've been a fan for years.... I'd be over the moon too if they were a sponsor but I can't be the only one that noticed you've never mentioned them before. My old office in New York City was a block away a dangerous location to be sure 😂
Here, here on the tailoring! My favorite dress shop in Roanoke, VA has a fabulous tailor, Brenda, on staff.
Alterations are free for full price items. Reasonable for sale items. They want you leaving looking fabulous! I have also had good luck with Nordstroms tailoring. Since I am 5'2, I also have a local gal on retainer!
You have inspired me in my home and now again, feeling good about my clothes. Even though I had an injury over the summer, I'm trying to still be happy w/how I look in my clothes! You are a classic beauty, and your smile and energy, has been a joy to watch!!
Great video Valentina! Could you please do a video about how to dress your body type, i.e. what fit and cut is most flattering on an inverted triangle shape, pear shape, etc. Also, could you explain what colors are best for different skin undertones? Thanks so much, I always enjoy your content!!

I trained with a European tailor many years ago. He could never understand why Americans would spend so much on their cars only to leave them in the parking lot, but then present themselves in poor quality, ill-fitting clothes

That is so true about taking a video of yourself to see how you look in your clothes. Not til I started my own UA-cam channel (on flower farming) did I actually see exactly how clothes moved on me. After some of the videos, certain clothes have gone straight into the give away pile, clothes that I previously really liked.
Wow, that’s crazy how that works. We can all have blind spots, it really helps to get a fresh perspective.
@@houseofvalentinaliving Yup, it truly shocked me how much I hated previously loved items after seeing myself in a video wearing them. Little things, like how a sleeveless top cuts into the upper arm when the arm is lifted up, or how a shirt hangs when slightly bent over, etc.

Hello Valentina! Congrats on the Bergdorf partnership, I love Bergdorf! The Cinq a Sept (sank a set) ;);) blazer drapes beautifully on you. I loved when crepe was made of silk, over the years designers switched to a cotton and wool blend, which is still breathable and now it is mostly made of polyester. Unfortunately I cannot wear polyester. I would love a haul of clothing made of natural fibers such as wool, cashmere and cotton. :):)

5'1.75" #ShortGirlProblems 😂 I see my seamstress several times a year: slacks, dresses, maxi dresses, skirts, etc., UGH A good deal quickly turns into more expensive, but worth it for a better fit!

Adjusting shoulders on a garment is very expensive. Maybe $75.
You can always have vertical darts sewn into the back.
