Lerry Gindgren It honestly does. At least it did for me. Once you get a little older, you slowly reach the point where you don’t really give a shit what other people think. You kinda lose the fixation on finding friends and just communicate with the coworkers that you’re stuck with all day work. It kinda comes naturally when you’re stuck with the same people all day, especially in an office. It’ll get better, man!

This happened to me in college. I lived with two best friends and always got along with them but could never "break through." No matter how common our interests were, or how much I hung out with them and did stuff, it just wouldn't stick. Then another guy joined in as their "third" best friend. By that time, we all signed the lease to live together for the following year and they were so bummed that their new third best friend couldn't live there. They pouted for days on end, I kid you not. It got to a point to where I was like "Hey he can have my spot on the lease." They couldn't contain their excitement and celebrated like crazy right in front of me. Didn't even ask a courtesy "are you sure?". I've never talked to them since lol

I wasn't there for it but I have expierences simillar to that. College people are young and dumb, they have not found out who they want to be. Are you sure they were actually your friends? Or did you hang out with them. Best friend and somone you hang out with are two very different things. They way you desrcibed them makes them sound like literal childern be glad you didn't stay with them. College freinds are either your life long buddies or some of the dumbest people you could ever meet.
The Jericho one is accurate whenever a new guy comes in a group they are bonded to them immediately.

Basically I knew person1 and we were best friends at first. Then person2 appeared out of nowhere and person3 did too. I became (kinda?) friends with person3 (and I still am today), and person1 became friends with person2.
After an entire week person1 said they forgot to introduce me and we talked a bit. Soon they started making a ton of inside jokes and dark humor things I couldn't understand. They talked for like an hour straight and I just stood there waiting. After they finally finished talking, they went "oh, well bye guys I had fun talking". Some time later, I just started talking to person3 more.
And some time later, they got a new friend! "It's so cool to have a 3rd friend! Oh, sorry for forgetting you (my name)." yeah, great news. Eventually I just stopped talking to them completely and my best friend rn is person3. I have a few internet friends (well, kinda?) and they're nicer. Sadly one of them went full on "last online 2 years ago". I wonder how they're all doing tbh

Growing up at school there was many a time when I was in a situation just like this. What hit me hard was that they just pretended he didn’t exist. Didn’t even tell him they didn’t want him around. I would’ve rather had people tell me that than to leave me in limbo like that.
I felt that when you were walking on the side walk and couldn't talk. Doesn't even have to be on the sidewalk they just walk too god damn fast.
