Every day I appreciate my school for pushing the narrative “never share personal information online” around 2009.
This is a lost discipline in the current era of the internet. I was taught to never display personal information. Otherwise some wack job I don’t know would prey on me or try to hurt me. Now in 2024, these kids have their personal information and their faces all over the Internet. It’s quite sad.

Same, I was very warry of social media because I thought that I'd be talking to PDFs wanting to "meet with me," so I never really touched chatrooms until I got into Discord. At most, it was anonymous forums or RuneScape with *ABSOLUTELY NO* PII or IRL pics exchanged, and to report if they wanted to be creepy, but that never happened to me.
I love how Emile clapped back with a statement so good all his accusers had to just give up and say "Yeah, you're a good person. Sorry for trying to destroy your entire career." None of them mentioned to not harass Emile because they wanted him harassed for some reason.
Emile's genuine kindness is actually seen in his interactions where he specifically tells people to not harass anyone mentioned when they all tried to get him fired over: crossing unset boundaries, a rocky break-up and someone got depressed because she *wasn't* a victim of child grape.
The only innocent accuser was AntDude, his accusation was because he misunderstood a series of situations. Every other person was, imo, malicious here.

It should be the most obvious thing in the world that Antdude defended Jirard because he never gave him a reason to doubt his character prior to the fraud. What makes you think Ant wouldn't have white-knighted for Chugga if things didn't turn sour between them?
@@LutherKujo They're two separate situations though? Him defending Jirard when all the evidence and his own words stacked against him was bad. Him not believing in Emile when, from Ant's perspective, Emile repeatedly texted his wife and asked for them to meet up isn't malicious but just not having the full context.
He seems like a very "set in his ways" person to me, where everything is how he thinks it is. He thought Jirard was a good person and he thought Emile had a crush on his wife so that's how things "must" be. That explains both situations without making him out to get Emile or some Jirard-pilled maniac.

I am on the spectrum myself, and while i will admit sometimes i will throw the fact that I'm on the spectrum into reasons for doing something, i never commit to it being the whole reason. I know first hand that even if you are on the spectrum, sure it can have a hand in mistake you made, but at the end of the day, it isn't the main factor as your own decisions are. The fact that people will shield themselves based only on them being on the spectrum is so dumb and i hate the rep it gives those on the spectrum.

Maybe that's not for him to decide. I mean he can feel however he wants but ultimate judgement should come from an external objective standard, not the whims of individual people. If a driver hit Emile with their car but Emile forgave them, then good for Emile but said driver should probably still be tried in a court of law - considering all the nuances of the "hit 'n' run" in this analogy.
I don't condon harassment but I love me some criticism and all three of these women deserve it, for their actions. Together they nearly ended his life and barely seem to show anykind of majour consideration or reconsideration. All hiding behind excuses. If it was me who caused Emile this much pain, I'd be puking blood out of guilt. I don't think any of these 3 said "sorry".

I think his descision to forgive Masae was very mature and says a lot about his true character. That being said admittedly if I was in this situation I wouldn't be so forgiving. She left out vital context during the controversy which allowed people to paint false narritives. What if he did take his own life? Can't exactly say oops there. I can understand their need to bury the hatchet but this still reflects poorly on her.

From gauging Twitter, most people have turned against Lawly. Lawly's response was flaundering at best and has only received negativity because she clearly lied about all the majour details and has no leg to stand on.
Lady Emily's case is very mixed, with both praise & scorn. There are idiots on bothsides, sure, but its clear that she is crying crocodile tears to save face and cherrypicking a few comments of harassment to avoid talking about how royally she f4cked up.
Masae's response was the most well received. I find this strange because her post 3 months prior was what turned alot of people against Chugga. The wording painted Emile in a negative light and all she really has to say now is "whoops, my bad."
In the end all 3 of them deserve to just be left alone. Lawly will disappear, Emily will recover in her echo chamber before returning to her old ways and Masae will go her own way. Emile will recover, hopefully, and this is all for the best.

Masae and Emily should both lose their Twitter pages imo. They both used them to falsely accuse someone of a very serious crime of sexual harassment. Werster is a weird case where I would also say he should lose his twitter page for posting it but it shouldn't be anywhere near as harsh as Masae/Emily. But he'll also be on watch if he does post anything similar to Lawly's story.

I'm more upset at Masae than Emily tbh. Yes Emily is a liar, but Masae made it sound like Emile was some friend who had a huge crush on her and was being very pushy about it. Causing people to think back to their previous video interactions as some form of harrasment. She could have just easily said, "we used to date, now we don't." But no. She didn't want anyone to know about her relationship with Emile even though we all already knew/suspected, but she had no problem making her relationship with BrettUltimus public lol.
Speaking of which, Brett saying to people "your dream ship ain't happening" is hilarious since it has been happening for 10 years, way before he even met Masae. They deserve each other.
Honestly, Masae stopped being entertaining without Emile. Her channel just boils down to "Female Chuggaa, but without the shit that actually made Chuggaa entertaining." As far as I'm concerned, she's dead weight to TRG along with some of its other members.
That's why it pissed me off when people said that TRG should replace Emile. Replacing him is like taking one of the main cast of Friends and replacing them with some dickhead no one cares about. Most of the TRG community members are one-note compared to the main trio at best, and blend together from unrecognizability at worst.
Before anyone goes at me in defending Tim and Jon, they are in the same boat as Emile: Irreplaceable. TRG was great because of the interactions of these three.
On another note, a part of me wants to take Lucahjin, SweetieConroy (what I'm calling Chuggaa's GF for convenience), and whoever Tim ends up dating, and throw them onto a Let's Play couch and see what insanity spawns.

While it is up to Chugga who he forgives or not, it's always sad to watch from the sidelines when someone says they're just... fine with being pushed to un-alive, and forgives them. It's like watching your female friend going back to her husband, who hits her.
But he's an adult. It's his choice.
And what makes it all the more depressing is this is all he can really do. These monsters started all of this and all he can do is just forgive them--despite the fact they've learned nothing--and just move on like it never happened.

It's coming from a place of him genuinely still blaming himself for having consensual conversations. He is blaming himself for Emily's inability to put down boundaries, and communicate. He is blaming himself for the justified backlash people got for all this. He still allows them to make him think he's the problem, and he's in the wrong. And, in some ways, it's enabling it.
If it wasn't for the internet going after these people for their actions, Emile's forgiveness could have lead to them doing the same thing to other people, who might have ended up actually ending themselves.

As someone who was abused sexually, i have never seen a greener flag than Chugga. I'm so relieved that this whole mess is cleared up. Its usually someone with a lot of charisma someone universally seen as normal, not an odd ball by any means. The quirky people are usually much trustable because their quirks being open show they are being themselves. The real monsters hide behind normalcy
This is completely true. Unfortunately, there's a lot of ableism against Autistic men being deemed as "creepy", and given I went through and suffered a similar false rape accusation from a bad faith actor, I felt the need to stand still until Chuggaa showed his side. And boy, am I happy he's in the clear. He didn't deserve that trauma at all.

Emile is just a genuinely a sweet guy, a caring dork of a gamer and hearing all of this happening to him really hurts. I grew up watching a lot of his let's play games and his personality is very charming thing about him, and him just enjoying the games he play, giving tips and all in all just being a friend to the viewer is awesome. I really wish for the best for him, and I hope that he recovers through these tough ordeals in life.
Lawly and Lady Emily are coping right now. While Chuggaaconroy might be the bigger person for forgiving them (even though they don't deserve it imo) I won't be as forgiving towards them and tell it like it is! They're villains and should feel guilty for contributing to attempting to ruin a mostly innocent person's life! 👿

And we can’t see what they talked about on skye, but from the discord messages it looks like they both just checked in with each other, and never got deep into conversation. Which was literally the whole point CC was making, that he cut off their deep conversations that he knew were inappropriate.

Yeah the situation was a little suspicious, namely because of how much was “revealed” in such a small amount of time.
It's up to Chugga if he'll forgive people who vindictively and maliciously tried to ruin his life, but just because he does, that doesn't mean everyone else has to. I am appalled by Emily's behavior and I've lost my respect for her.
The problem is that people won't shut up and keep bringing up the situation despite what Chugga is saying against that. Even if you don't forgive Masae, keep it to yourself when Chugga is already over it.

Antdude is the weirdest of the 4, he's view as we have heard from tim was from a series of misunderstanding that being honest I would probably end up with the same conclusion, but he also had no reason to say anything, he did not follow up with anything and had so little connection to emile that it may as well be none, so his image was fine no matter what happened.
Measa is the one I think most peple will disagree with me, as they feel both malicious and not, maybe they were, maybe she just wanted people to shut up about it (albeit if that was the case they could have ended with the first part of her thread) overall I do believe the end after chugga's stment.
Lawly is not good at covering her tracks, she bearly changed her image and really just made a sad attack on chugga for the most part, and chugga even clear up what he got wrong.
Then theres emily who is the worst, if she was in the right I don't think she would have tried to hide on riddit or just keept going with content (hell even measa took a break) and while I don't condone attack of anyone, her defense was garbage, being trans is eralavent to everything, and also she shows she's untrustworthy, as far as I understood she a chugga had a deal, she stays quite and he becomes a better person and he tried, she broke that deal.

Jon: if your attacking Jon your dumb, he did minimal wrong and should not be attack for wanting to distance professionally from someone who at the time looked really bad and also professionally and personally are not the same and tim did the same to a degree (albeit tim only removed Nintendo derect reactions)
Speaking of him, Tim: not much to say he's just a really good friend and I think everyone needs a friend like tim
And finally Emile himself: a man who did his best to make up for his mastakes, saying he did NOTHING wrong is not true, but what he did do was not behond forgiveness, he by all means did not deserve the hate he got even from before his statement as he was never a pedo or groomer, he said things he should yes but also humor sucked at the time because that was that times humor, ultimately he isn't 100% inocent but like 98% and that's still pretty good.
This whole thing is a great reminder that UA-camrs are still human, and humans are imperfect we make mastakes and the good ones try to fix them, and emile by all means is fixing his mastakes.
Also let's be frank, should Emile return (which I hope he does, we need him in these trying times), I'm sure Tim and Jon will be ready to welcome him back onto the TRG couch with open arms, and the Direct reactions will be right back where they belong.
The only changes I can see happening is Emile choosing not to attend conventions and opting to deactivate comments on his videos if he deems it necessary. Of course given that his latest video has had predominantly support on it, with the usual trolls either returning to side with Emile or backing down altogether, I'm unsure if that will be necessary.
This situation highlights a problem between handling personal problems in private and what happens when it gets on the Internet causing everyone to believe one side of the story. Then as soon as the other side comes out it sends in Internet into a Mental craze.

She either feels that guilt or she doesn't, but the damage has been done. Lady Emily pretty much damaged the Let's Play scene and fixing it will take a lot of TLC. Tbh this whole thing is just a tragedy. As someone mentioned here there are no heroes nor villians since everyone played a part in Chugga's downfall some are more malicious then others. Lady Emily is not someone I believed at the start (and still don't) when I heard some people say she'd gotten involved in accusing other youtubers before, it seemed rich to me that she would turn being gifted shoes into an "uh oh now I'm uncomfy and I retroactively revoke consent for all our past interactions now oopsie" moment and now she doesn't want to deal with the consequences of her actions? I really don't understand why it was such a big deal with Lawly, they were only 4 years apart and he was still a teen. As he transitioned into adulthood he realized the age gap wasn't appropriate at this point especially when she had feelings for him. You don't suddenly stop being a teen at 18-19 over night. Legally you are an adult but mentally you aren't quite there yet, you're just on your way and the maturity level depends on the individual. This is why we have Romeo and Juliet laws. He stopped it as he was on his way and grew up, he did the right thing but it still doesn't matter to these people who think this is even remotely close to being a pedo, it's like they live to hunt these people down. I've been a fan of Chuggaaconroy since 2010, and while I standby him and believe none of this was drastic enough to go public, I do think people are being a bit to bias towards him. He did screw up and I think he pushed boundaries. All of the "he's a sweet innocent guy" comments are a bit off putting to me because I do believe he needed help (which thankfully he started getting before all of this went down). However, the accusers are no better. Leaving out vital information, reframing events to make him look worse, and just making this public in the first place is insane. This whole situation just blows.
