@@DogsandCats-gk8pbI’m sure she was by then aware of how the other racers treated her, I’m sure she disliked them a bit because of it. That line was more of a quip if anything, clearly she knows that she isn’t going to literally execute the racers and leave the game unplayable, even then, they can literally respawn.
Alan Tudyk doesn't get as much credit as he deserves in general but his voice work is criminally underrated.

100% agree, until recently I just thought he was "the pirate guy" from Dodgeball... It was only from looking on IMDB I realised how many characters he's voiced and how different each of his performances are.
He actually gets a lot of well due credit. That’s why they keep hiring him.

I'm not sure I'd agree that it's not recognized, but it certainly is a rare jewel.

There's actually a subtle hint of foreshadowing that King Candy isn't the real ruler of Sugar Rush when Ralph gets taken to the castle and says "I see you're a fan of pink." That and King Candy gets incredibly defensive when he thinks Ralph is going to try and take over "his" game.
There are quite a few hints that, upon a rewatch, really stand out, but on first viewing are very easily overlooked:
- He's an old man in a game full of cutesy young girls and is otherwise very out of place (I think there's an implication that Sugar Rush is a kawaii-style racing game from Japan).
- The Konami Code that he uses to access Sugar Rush's source code is written on the back of a napkin from Tapper's, hinting that he's been around for much longer than Sugar Rush.
- Turbo's voice in the flashback is that of King Candy.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 was originally conceived to prominently feature Mario but it's believed that Illumination stepped in and pitched Nintendo on a Mario movie instead. Not sure if that's the reason why WIR2 steps away from video games for the sequel or not.
I wished we could've seen mario in the movie but least he got a mention from Felix
Considering Fix It Felix is modeled after Mario and Wreck it Ralph is supposed to be Donkey Kong, it’s especially 4th wall breaking

I love that message of "its hard to love your job, when everybody hates you for doing it"
It's always good to remember that the plot twist was never King Candy is a villain, it's that he was always that *specific* villain the entire time and we never knew. It was so expertly planned out, I love it.
My absolute favorite detail about this movie is Ralph's expression right as Vanellope is shoved down by Taffyta. She lands in mud.
And that's what makes Ralph, a person who knows all about being bullied and shoved into the mud, stand up for her. The expression he makes is heartbreaking, personally.
There was so much conflict going on in Wreck it Ralph:
1. Ralph wanted to be a good guy & win a medal
2. Vanellope wanted to be a racer, but was told she could never be that because she was a glitch
3. Calhoun wanted to destroy all cybugs before they took over every video game in the arcade
4. King Candy, A.K.A Turbo Time wanted to be the most popular video game character
And Felix wanted to get Ralph back before their game gets shut down
Don't forget Calhoun's PTSD

Ralph wrecking her car is legitimately hard to watch every single time.
I'm a big softy but was suprised how much this movie moved me emotionally. It was great fun to relive it again through Mary's eyes.
This is one of those special movies that actually does make me cry, whether i want to or not. It's pretty great.

Such a great and nostalgic childhood movie
At first when I watch it I didn't tear up or something yet when I watched it again with realistic perspective it really made me teary.
This is one of the few Disney movies where the characters accepted themselves for who they are and didn't really change who they were, just how they perceived their situation and that is why I loved this movie and it is still to this day my favorite Disney movie second to Hercules.
Devil Dogs are two chocolate cakes with cream in the middle. they are basically the kind of snack cakes you can buy in packages of 8 at any grocery store, but only regionally on the east coast

This is the type of movie that never gets old everytime I watch it, definitely one of my top favorite disney movies of all time.
It’s a 10/10 for me! It’s one of my top 10 Disney movies ever too!
Fun fact: vanellope's glitch seems to be a factory error, since when everything that turbo did was repaired, the glitch was the only thing that did not fix
But it changed to a warping skill that she actually can control now. Not a glitch, but a feature, love it!

The sequel isn't as good, IMO, but if enough of the others want you to see it, so be it.
Sequel is cool in its own way IMO but yeah it don’t come close to this first one. I think Merry should still watch it though! 🙂
Yea I actually didn’t care for the 2nd one at all. Tbh this movie didn’t need a sequel but meh. This movie is amazing by itself.
@@davidstratton696 true, it’s not as good, but I still think the story was a valid continuation of Ralph’s and Vanelope’s development as friends and people, so I see it as kinda necessary
I actually hated the sequel, mostly because of how it assassinated both Ralph and Vanellope's characters.

That plot twist with Turbo took me by surprise as well! Something I never expected from Disney.
I got to say it is understandable as to why Ralph is a villain in the game. Basically the background is that the developer came in kicked him out of his land and destroyed his stump, building the niceland apartment. So Ralph is mad now for being kicked out of his land. I would be too. So Ralph was always a nice guy in my view 🥺

I remember recommending this movie to my cousin and rewatching it with my mom, I loved it so much. I loved the characters (Candy and his goons had me rolling). And the end where Ralph sees Vanellope racing always made me tear up a bit.
Coco... a fabulous Disney/Pixar animated movie. Very much worth your time.
Also check out The Book Of Life. Similar premise to Coco
The Coco trailer did not excite me at all. The movie was amazing though.

i didnt expect to love it as much as i did either! i went in thinking it was gonna be a cute cartoony comedy and found myself crying TWICE in the cinema lol

This movie was pure hype as a kid, seeing actual videogame characters, seeing characters in different game styles, this was the most hype.
The Turbo reveal as a kid was mind blowing and scary

The first time I saw this I was speechless when I saw turbo. Never saw that coming.
King Candy's voice is modeled on the comedian Ed Wynn, probably most familiar for his work for Disney, voicing the Mad Hatter in ALICE IN WONDERLAND and playing Uncle Albert in MARY POPPINS. His son Keenan Wynn was a frequent player in action and comedy films, and his grandson Tracy Keenan Wynn wrote the screenplays for the original THE LONGEST YARD with Burt Reynolds and THE DEEP with Nick Nolte and Robert Shaw.

Final Boss Turbo reminds me of Pennywise when was in spider form.
This movie is one of my favorite's of all time, it really is. It's funny, heart-warming, different, has a great lesson at the end, great plot twists, and the writing is incredible.
Wreck-It Ralph is my favorite and they’ve won at the 40th Annie Awards for best animation movie

If you've never seen them, Pixar's "Inside Out" and "Finding Nemo" are amazing movies.

This movie has the best visual example of triggering I’ve seen anywhere. I hate how pop culture has watered down and confused the term trigger. But her reaction when Felix uses the same phrase as her previous partner is incredibly well done. You actually get to see her have the PTSD flashback and have context for her reaction.
I think this film should be considered a masterclass in storytelling and twist villains.
