I've had a premodel 2840 in Germany it's a 3130 which has a valve mounted on the hydraulic pump . It shot down the oilflow when engine will be started. Sometimes it causes pump failure. In case screw it out or disconnect the cables.
Thank you for taking the time to show your 2940. In fact, my '82 2940 4WD just developed hydraulic issues (no steering or lift but pto works) and I was thinking of trading for something smaller but your video motivated me to keep it and repair & redo. Really a nice watch! David
Diff is on left side under seat. Its a pedal you can push to side with heel of foot. There is also a extended bar coming up off it that you can move with your hand.
nice tractor. new tires look good. rain here in North Carolina today. all wet so I took a truck to the shop and changed the oil then vacuumed it out. drinking coffee watching videos. thanks for the tour of your 2940.
Where is the diff lock on this tractor. I have the same tractor I just bought and can’t find the diff lock anywhere! Help please I’m tired of getting stuck

I just bought I 2940, and it's so rusted and faded nothing is labeled anymore. Could you show me which lever is for the PTO?
Pto is the knob directly under steering wheel. Pull straight up to engage.
@@timerfarms113 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. This is my first JD, I've only had Massey Ferguson's up until now.

Czy to jest odpowiednik 3120/3130 na Europę? Przysięgam, że są prawie identyczne.
