Must be nice to live in a world where you’re Paranthropus took care of equipment
Come to Kansas
It was built in Germany
Beautiful tractor!
There are likages available to center the back axle.
The green backlit instruments is factory International.
Looks great,we;ll taken care of.
I've had a premodel 2840 in Germany it's a 3130 which has a valve mounted on the hydraulic pump . It shot down the oilflow when engine will be started. Sometimes it causes pump failure. In case screw it out or disconnect the cables.
Where is the diff lock on this tractor. I have the same tractor I just bought and can’t find the diff lock anywhere! Help please I’m tired of getting stuck
Czy to jest odpowiednik 3120/3130 na Europę? Przysięgam, że są prawie identyczne.
No it's the next generation. In Europe it's called 3040 or 3140.
Super cool traktor , I love it !
JD makes a conversion kit for the hydraulic hook ups , they work quite nice
I just spent 6 hours today on our 2940 pulling a Kuhn 9 ft mower. 29 is a sweet tractor. My dad bought his new in 82.
Do you know where your Diff lock is on your 2940? I just bought one and can’t find the pedal anywhere!
Diff is on left side under seat. Its a pedal you can push to side with heel of foot. There is also a extended bar coming up off it that you can move with your hand.
I just bought I 2940, and it's so rusted and faded nothing is labeled anymore. Could you show me which lever is for the PTO?
Pto is the knob directly under steering wheel. Pull straight up to engage.
@@timerfarms113 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. This is my first JD, I've only had Massey Ferguson's up until now.
@Jack Slater love my masseys
@@timerfarms113 me too, my favorite is my 1130.
Is the clutch and transmission on that tractor bolted direct on the engine or does it have a drive shaft to the tranny from the clutch - like a Versatile?
Looks like runs really good 👍🏻👍🏻
Why people say they only use that kind of harvesters to open up the fields ? So you don't chop the entire field with that one ??
What is the name brand on it ?
What kind of harvester is this ?
E
What I know about the Uni's the old 1s GMC engines . Later 1s allis Chalmers industrials. And perkins. Last 1s cummins.
I just got done putting the side re-enforcement on my fan housing. Found the clean a whole cascade of issues 😳, but are fixed now. BTW, I am still running 2 750 grey cabs! Good luck 👍🏻
Thanks for this 👍🏻. My 6180 got a new all metal radiator when the plastic tank cracked 👍🏻.
So, better perkin or sisu???
*Hope you had a good season* #WorldsOkayestFarmer
What size hydraulic motors and pump did you put on? Psi/gpm? Looking to do the same thing here.
Honestly I can't recall its probably been over 10 years since we put it together. Its all packed away tight in the barn currently but I can look at it this spring and let u know. Might need to remind me! I do know the pump is from northern tool. Looked at there website last night figured its either the 11gpm or the 21gmp but they look identical. So hard to tell till I can read tag on actual pump.
Comprend pas
Sir my combine shows seeds through straw Walker so give me advice how I treat this problem
Saw one of your old videos on the 2940 and was wondering if its a good tractor looking at a 2840 for doing some hay work and wanna know how good it is of a tractor
I've had pretty good luck with that 2940. I'm not to familiar with a 2840 but I believe it has a different engine. They are a great size for doing hay. Few years after buying the 40 I also purchased a 2955. I'd say the best part of the tractor has been the engines seem to be very bullet proof welll over 12k on it now. But like I said the 2840 is a bit of a different animal. I'd highly recommend getting one with the 16 speed transmission. One of the less desirable things I've had to deal with is hydraulic leaks. I'm not sure if that a result of poor engineering or just from age. Anyway I've been very satisfied with the tractor and hope if u buy one it treats you as well. Thanks for watching and commenting hope this helpful.
nothing worse than chasing windrows, can you show us your juice applicator
That’s my favorite JD models grew up on ones exactly like your’s but with a 265 loader incredible machine
Yeah its been a really good tractor. Since that video I have mounted a 260 loader on it.
Timer Farms can’t wait to see that 😊
I was thinking it looked heavy. Gettin decent yields on my alfalfa but nothing on mixed fields
2955 is rated at 85 pto hp.
Many people and sites put down the reel style grimm and H&S tedders and then you watch there videos or listen to them and you realize they have no clue how to set and adjust them. A properly adjusted reel tedder does a better job at turning hay than any star or rotary rake in my opinion. We have had many different tedders on our farm and we always go back to the H&S reels they are simple they are cheap and they do what they are meant to do. The folding stars we have not had one yet even brand new that the pivots don't fall apart and lose wings in the fields or drive joints and knuckles that don't come apart and every rotary we have ever had it was always a job to go behind and pull all the hay back into the fields. We do alot of small 1-10 acre fields in hills and we love our reel tedders for them.
if Jeff REEymond ain't the luckiest guy on the youtubes i don't know who is.
cool hay wagon wish we had one when we cut squares
Right after 1st cut, it stopped raining here. I just mowed some pitiful 2nd cut, in hopes that 3rd cut will be better. Can't win this year lol
Awsome on a 1000,,sub....nice bales..
We've got three tenths in the last month and a 1/2. Hey looks real good.
So, are the motors plumbed in series, or parallel?
They are parallel. Thanks for watching
