10:20 the winds being sucked back into the low pressure created by the firestorm's intense rising air, exactly like a tornado, is incredible to see and probably an overlooked part of the story re: why so many ocean side PCH properties burned. Once they lit the incredible reverse winds blew them up like a torch. Incredible footage. INCREDIBLE. Thinking of everyone back home in LA.

At 9:51 that was Thelma Todd's sidewalk cafe and she lived upstairs, she was a famous comedienne in the 1930s, and she was found passed away in one of those buildings up higher on that hill. Unsolved case. I have been watching looking for footage of the building. Thank you. I loved that area when I lived in Los Angeles. Prayers for all affected.

Wow thankyou for posting.I read about Thelma Todd's place years ago as she was in a few Laurel and Hardy films and I'm a big fan.I wondered if this place was in the fire area.Prayers for all those affected from the UK.🙏

She was also in the Marx brothers films and almost drowned in one, they didn't realize she couldn't swim. She had a shorts series with Patsy Kelly.that was very popular. she was the first celebrity cafe owner. Glad you enjoyed it. There are quite a few yt who have done videos about Thelma and her death and the sidewalk cafe Jordan the Lion did an excellent one and did many blogs about places all over los Angeles as he also loves 1930s Hollywood.

I wonder whatever happened to that guy's invention where he would wrap your house in disposable diaper matter making it fireproof? I wonder if anyone else noticed that there are 3 major fire outbreaks in the area forming a triangle?

    Exactly
    This didn’t have to happen’
From a New York Times article last year.. After a series of downpours over the past week dumped up to nine inches of rain on the San Gabriel Mountains, some 8.4 billion gallons were impounded behind 14 large dams, easing floods and building up valuable stores of water for the drier summer months ahead. But in a state that is weathering a crippling, multiyear drought, much larger streams of water - estimated at tens of billions of gallons - have been rushing in recent days straight into the Pacific Ocean, a devastating conundrum for a state whose future depends on holding on to any drop it can!

Looks like a small all terrain vehicle or a motorcycle would be the best equipment to have in this day and age - don’t forget your GPS - portable solar shield - water filter - no lithium in a wildfire, they heat up and burn wildly too - stay away from the eucalyptus
