I'm currently & slowly building a 6x12 cargo camper for our motocross adventures, my 12yo son races MX. & I'm not really interested in a $400 camper payment.
I'm watching all your videos & getting some great ideas..
Thats's awesome. That is a perfect platform for motocross adventures. Thanks so much for watching!!!
Thanks, watched your videos. I ordered a 6x12 Lightning trailer to do a similar build.
AWESOME!!! Hope you love it as much as we do! Thanks for watching and happy building!
Awesome video 🤙🏻 helpful in planning my own build. I’m planning to do something similar, I subscribed and look forward to seeing more of y’all’s adventures. My only complaint is the Auburn hat 🦃😂😆🅰️😎🇺🇸 lol …Roll Tide
LOL!!! I understand...go dawgs! Happy building, and thanks for subscribing!
What was the final completed weight? You can go to a scrap yard and get a complete weight if you hadn't thought of that
With everything loaded we estimated (math wise) for it to be around 1900 pounds. We definitely need to bring it to a scale. Our dump station in our county has a scale but is so crazy busy. I hadn't thought about a scrap yard... That is a great idea!!!
@befreebensondiy I grew up country and we would scrap things sometimes.. I've never met anybody who had thought about that hahaha. I lucked out because there is actually one in my neighborhood about seven blocks away that has a scale parallel with the road on the exterior of the building and they leave it on all the time! I drove across it one time on the way home from work with my car just to see if it was on and the lights lit up and it worked! My Golf is only a couple hundred pounds lighter than a mid-range Chevy Impala from 2013!
What anti-sway hitch do you guys use?
We use an EZ weight distribution hitch on the Rescue Wagon, and a Fastway E2 weight distribution hitch on the Escape Pod. I have a video explaining the whole hitch set up on the Rescue wagon. Thanks so much for watching!!!
@befreebensondiy I'm going to go watch that now. Which one do you prefer at this point having experienced both? A lot of weight distribution hitches need a lot of ground clearance and I drive a golf. I want to be overkill on this type of thing so I won't have to worry about semis buffeting me around when I'm pulling a little trailer. Thank you very much for the response
Where in the obx can you camp on the beach, how long can you stay.
Cape Lookout National Seashore. 2 weeks, but you have to take a ferry. Ferry link: cape-lookout-cabins-camps-ferry-davis-nc.com/
I have question mine is horse trailer ramp door no door ..do u think big baggage slash entry foor goun up down will work for door if i close the ramp i need suggestions
It can work, but you will need a way to secure it from the inside and keep it from being locked on the outside while your in it... Thanks for watching!!!
