I had severe athlete's feet which led to fungal issues. For about 10yrs now, after a shower I spray my feet with white vinegar and have not had anymore problems since.
In 32 year old female I notice my toe nail next to my big toe on my left foot begin to start to get thick and brown. I will make and appointment to see the podiatrist lord I hope it’s not thing serious.
I’ve had really thick yellowish/brown toenails for as long as I can remember. My cousins would make fun of me and kids would stare. I remember my mom would always say my nails were like my dad or grandma. By middle or high school I’d finally complained so much that she too me to the dermatologist. They’d give me creams and pills. They took samples and said it’s not a fungus or yeast, but never said why it’s like this. And Nothing ever made them regular. Then I over obsessed about keeping my feet clean. They did get better (weird bc I was already an ocd child) but still thick and more like a clearing tan color . I eventually gave up. I stopped being ashamed and as long as I’m wearing nail polish, they look pretty normal. But If I could make them normal like my finger nails I would. Btw I’ve always had normal fingernails, except mine tend to growth faster and stronger than most ppl . As a matter of fact, I was just telling someone that I don’t get gel polish or sns done very often bc then I’d have to keep up with it. I can be at the salon every 1 1/2-2 weeks. She was surprised that I go so often. But it’s bc even if the polish doesn’t chip, the nails grow out too long.
Doctor after doing a 3 months course of oral meds for toenail fungus, after the completion of the last pill how long do the meds stay in your system for? Do you believe diet plays a role in fungus ? Thank you.
Hello Dr. Both big toenails are real thick but are not discolored, they are hard to clip, every video that I have seen do not look like my thick nails. They do not look like fungi. Those two big toenails are jut extra thick, would you have any advice, they hurt to clip,
I have the same issue. No weird discoloration, my toes hurt to clip, and and it's hard to clip them. I've broken several pairs if nail clipers with my toenails. They're somewhere around 2mm thick.

I have kids that are 18years old 12 and 8 and my wife and they have never got it but now i just stared treatment and evey where i read about says it is super contagious i just sarted laser treatment and it makes me nevers i dont want to pass it to them should i sart taking Precautions
Please always consult a medical doctor (not sure how it works in the US, but one that went to medical school) before taking medication like Terbinafine for nail infection. It can be very hepatotoxic.
Perfect nails until I hit 30.... just after a severe mental breakdown. I believe it was triggered by stress/cortisol. had clippings taken/studies done... not fungal.

I heard to use vicks vapor rub for a few months it will work. ❤

Wearing nail polish for years then taking it off with nail remover thickens and discololouring them

Before prescribing terbinafine I always check the liver function to ensure it’s healthy and can handle the medication.
