The legendary Dean Smith always said that Jordan should play point guard. Unfortunately Jordan didn’t feel comfortable at the point but he gave a glimpse this season averaging 32,8 and 8.The fact that the media has called LeBron a facilitator and Jordan a scorer is greatly exaggerated.Jordan was actually just as good a passer as anyone but his scoring outbursts were so incredible that his passing skills were often overlooked. I feel blessed to have witnessed the greatest athlete of the 20th century, there will never be another on his level.
Such an intense game. 1988-89 Jordan may have been his peak athleticism. Put this Jordan in any era and he will dominate because of his combination of athleticism and skill.
@@mkhan8527 It was because he won it in 88 and the Bulls had a worse regular season in 89, while the Lakers were dominant in the west with Kareem playing a diminished role in his final season.
MICHAEL JORDAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE GOAT! That’s his legacy to always be compared to the next great player. I love it, can’t wait to see who the next great player will be so that they’ll compare him to MJ. Oh and records of total stats are for people who play a shit ton of years in the league, has never made anyone the greatest, just ask Peyton Manning. Great players but not the GOATS. That just means you played more years. The fact that MJ’s accomplishments were in only 11 full seasons with the Bulls just blows my mind! Not to mention the style that Jordan played offensively and definitely was just exciting and awesome to watch, endless incredible moves, shots, and incredible defensive plays. He’s just the BOSS, the GOAT, the MEASURING STICK! So lucky to have lived thru his era!
Joedan's play always give me inspiring to the life. His creative decisions of every moment are destructive to the opponent players. Sometimes, I think how much I'm happy if I'm one of the this game's crowd
1st, let me say an ALL ENCOMPASSING THANK YOU!!! to everyone that took the time to upload all the MJ footage. I'm beyond appreciative!! With that being said, after watching HOURS of clips of early MJ, I started to notice MJ had one VERY emphatic fan boy on the bulls bench this season in particular. I think it's #15 Jack Haley. Now, I'm not sure if this was just his style of supporting his team, or perhaps he was trying to befriend MJ by being "that guy" or what, but now I can't stop watching him usually being the only player reacting to even the easiest of MJ's plays... lol. It's funny to me, because I think if I was on that team, I"d probably be that guy as well lmfao!! Who knows, maybe MJ would've invited me to play golf, or cards or something like that??
He was always like that his entire career. One of those players who don't get much playing time, but are good for morale. He became Rodman's only friend in San Antonio, and when the Bulls signed Rodman in 95, they also signed Haley back to keep Rodman happy. And yes, he also played cards with MJ.
Legend has that the bulls are still dancing to this victory till now and the Knicks are still trying to block MJ and the bulls to this very day... Awesome 👍 video 👏.... Keep it more 💪 coming... Luv it... YAY...
MJ the goat would have had no problem averaging a triple double if he stayed at point guard. But Tex introduced the triangle and that’d when they started winning rings. But I love the call on this game. Jim Durham and Johnny Red Kerr. RIP to both simply the best to call MJ early years. I love when Jim says “how does he do that? How does he know?!?”””
Just watching videos like this gives me chills. Before my very eyes is the God of War, Michael Jeffrey Jordan doing things on a basketball court that totally makes tall, athletic guards like Gerald Wilkins and Hall of Fame 7-footers like Patrick Ewing look like the New Jersey Generals. SICKENINGLY AWESOME.
Intense game love it Michael Jordan killed the Knicks with his athleticism 37 pts almost 40 point game greatest scorer of all time attacking the rim every possession not settling
MJ asked Coach Collins to play PG for the last 11 gms of this season to help them reach a better spot in the PS. He averaged 33.6 PPG/10.8 RPG/11.3 APG/ 3.0SPG with 51%FG.
If Skip Bayless was a Jordan hater and would have seen this game, he would have concluded MJ was not clutch because he got his shot blocked by Ewing on the final play...:))
Steroids jordan was this athletic his whole college on end thru hard hard work his game speaks more than volumes he was an incredibly amazingly athletic he very decesive and doesn't waste any time getting to it when the tuff get going mj, iverson, and kobe are relentless at the end of game but jordan stands out ten scoring titles 6 for 6 finals 6 finals mvps 3 times steals champ 4 in history in scoring and steals the list goes on and on its not the media not the hype its just mike

yea his quick passes were crazy man and so unpredictable!

3.5/8/8/2.9 @ 53.5%FG. How NBA robbed him of season MVP and gave it to Magic.
Jordan was in his 5th season lol
He's only 25 lol smh 5th season
@@mkhan8527 It was because he won it in 88 and the Bulls had a worse regular season in 89, while the Lakers were dominant in the west with Kareem playing a diminished role in his final season.
The year he averaged 32 8 and 8 on 54% shooting. Michael was at his peak this was his 3rd straight scoring title season. Always destroyed the Knicks
i wouldnt 108 - 106 victory call "destruction". same applies for playoff series 1992, 1993.
MJ, best player of all time!

WHAT A GAME! Wow. Nonstop action!
Beautiful.
Brings back memories. They used to use this game-winning shot by Pip on NBA highlight commercials back in the day.
Man plays with so much finesse

Jordan starts putting his hands up before Pippens shot even goes in. He knew it was a clean swish!
I also think he was the one that tipped the ball back to Pippen.
That baseline dunk at 0:24. How quick, how high and how fast did the defense just get out of his way?
And once again ... endless highlights. Never ending.....
That is Gene Honda on the PA microphone (filling in for Bulls PA man Tommy Edwards) for this game.
Legend has that the bulls are still dancing to this victory till now and the Knicks are still trying to block MJ and the bulls to this very day... Awesome 👍 video 👏.... Keep it more 💪 coming... Luv it... YAY...
The Knicks got their revenge with the Trent Tucker 0.1s shot the following season.

I believe the final to be Bulls 108, Knicks 106 from this game. Testing my memory
I just don’t have any words for this guy. He is just ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SICKENINGLY AWESOME.
_Perfectly_ put! I'm gonna have to borrow that one
It seems like Jordan used to always destroy the Knicks.
Jordan used to destroy the league...

Incredible!
And kids today says, jordan's era was slower paced. Lol
Could you even imagine any of today's players trying to guard this version of MJ? lol!
Love Doug Collins celebrations after wins.
And Johnny "Red" Kerr, too!
He always lit the Knicks up, that’s what he did since he got into the league
At 1:33 I like that quote.
that was used in "Michael Jordan Air Time" video. It's AWESOME

Damn who knew Scottie could be so clutch lol

All while not on any peds. Go figure.
this cannot be overstated
He stayed destroying the Knicks, he loved to play at MSG.
Moreeee💯🏀🏀🏀
and Pip basically admitted to T-Mac that he never hit a game winner when MJ's around lol what?
People feared mj not lebron
0:25 thats travel but they dont call it (and much worse like this) in NBA
the NBA has never really called travel... and it's only gotten worse
If Skip Bayless was a Jordan hater and would have seen this game, he would have concluded MJ was not clutch because he got his shot blocked by Ewing on the final play...:))
Bulls ball boy Chris Collins!
