I like the confidence and grind of this team. I didn’t like being behind but honestly never thought we would lose the game. We got ballers who continue to throw punches. Unlike Iron Mike this weekend. 😢 That was a poor showing. BSU though had a counter punch and kept swinging.
You have by far the most complete in depth analysis of this team of anyone! (all Media), starting fast is nice, but so often when getting up big early, teams try to coast in and get stunned, it's stressful being a 4th Qtr. team, but its getting the job done. Many "experts" had SJSU to cover the big spread, I bet they felt great early on, We felt great at the end.
It baffles me that SJSU didn't take the field goal to go up 17-0. As soon as Boise stopped them the whole game changed. Boise gives me heart problems I swear love this team coach Danielson has them playing hard all game. GO BIG BLUE!!!
Agree, field goals value depends on the situation, and the step from 14 pts to 17 is a big one, takes 3 TDS to beat it, i thought they were making a mistake before the play failed.
What a great win, the fact that they were able to get this to a 21 point win is HUGE and will be great for the CFP East cost box score watchers but man that secondary needs to be fixed and we need to clean these types of games up because San Jose state is a much better team than I thought but unfortunately the committee won’t take that into account however it doesn’t matter because they got the box score right which unfortunately matters in the midst of a cfp race.
Way closer than expected. These kind of games though can help the team going forward. Better to be battle tested heading into this last part of the season and the expectations ahead of this team. Laramie in late Nov in altitude will be a test ! Awesome video my friend keep up the great work! Go Broncos !!!!!
Cold is okay and so is altitude. It's rain or snow that really can screw things up. Watching the Geo-Tenn game the WR's for Geo were complaining that the sideline heater was not working. It was 55 degrees at the game. LMAO.
I have some nerves but I feel like our team definitely got it together towards the end. Also SJSU did a really good job on capitalizing on our mistakes, which ultimate gave them the majority of their points. We just need to limit these mistakes. We also need to understand that teams are only focusing on Jeanty, so game plan around that. Maybe implementing more check downs and dinks and dunks to get Mad dog more comfortable. (Coming from a non football player lol)
Our Offense looks a bit vanilla (no jet sweep to bates, etc.), but maybe DK wants to keep more defenders tight in the box with most plays looking like AJ run's so the play action works better. Teams are committed to making Maddox beat them, props to his heart and hard work for stepping up when needed. Even had commercial break for booth review to look at that targeting?
That targeting non-call was ridiculous, especially considering a Boise St player had a potential targeting call reviewed that was no where close to being targeting.
I think Dirk has designed this offense to excel in the 4th quarter. He doesn’t get cute with the game plan it’s just smash mouth football. Runs right up the middle most of the time. The first half it’s easy to stop the runs. By the 4th quarter the defense is worn out and we excel at running the ball. I’ve watch this team for many years and we haven’t always been best at the 4th quarter. This team wears the opponent with runs and by the 4th quarter we control the game.
Absolutely ridiculous they missed that targeting call. I think the focus on contain is preventing Boise State’s ability to run outside but they have been getting more creative prior to this week. I think this week was about going back to the basics after a rough outing last week
@@BroncoBleymaier Yes, thats what it looks like, also think they are very aware of what they are putting on film, saving some stuff maybe for the Champ game/ bowl, etc.
The Broncos showed up in the 2nd half. 4 turnovers. San Jose has amazing QB and WR’s. 💙🧡💙🧡 This is a different team than the last few years. They don’t give up
The entire first half I was thinking “I don’t want to go to any playoff!” We looked awful and I didn’t want the team embarrassed. Coach D needs to make sure our team is progressing. It seems like we are stalled in certain areas and keep making the same mistakes. Madsen had a great game but overthrew a few times that were awful. SJSU really gave us 21 points. I’m still worried about a playoff game when we face a GREAT team. I like our ability to keep fighting but it feels like we are not growing into a top team like we should. Just my honest opinion
Well my prediction was that Boise State would get one less TD and SJSU would get one more..35-28, but after that 1st quarter, I was wondering if we finally hit that trap game. But as the SJSU coach said to the sideline reporter after the first quarter, it's only one quarter. There's a lot of game left. Our secondary is frightful. I think our corners don't look back at the ball because they're afraid to take their eyes off the receiver. We're 10 games in. I doubt anything will change now. We just have to hope our other talents make up for this weakness. Go Big Blue. On to Wyoming.
Agreed, I think it’s a skill deficiency for sure but I like how the coaches are compensating for it. Outstanding defensive play calling and adjustments this season!
@@BroncoBleymaieryea, they only had 2 fumble recoveries, 2 interceptions with one of those being a pick 6 and a stand inside the 5. And that was without two of our best defenders, Simpson and Teubner.
Yep, and a quick passing game negates most of our pressure. We were playing very soft coverage all night, and it ended up being the right call IMO. Still, it's hard to watch all the 4-7 yard dinks and dunks. If SJSU didn't drop so many balls this game could have been very scary.
It needs to publicized somehow that Ashton Jeanty is leading the second best rusher by 471 yds. Travis Hunger is trailing the leading receiver by 371 yds. Add those up with their respective positions and Ashton Jeanty isn’t leading by a mile, but quite literally he is leading Travis Hunter in respective positional yards of 842 yards. That is over a half a mile, literally!! And he has almost triple the number of TDs as Travis! Please send this out to the media somehow and bring this to the attention of the world haha!
We started to the last 2 games but didn’t this one. I think part of the reason was that the coaches were trying to settle down the team and rebuild confidence in the basics after a rough performance last week
Washington State lost to New Mexico?!? That doesn’t help our strength of schedule. BYU lost to Kansas though and Georgia beat Tennessee. We may have a chance to a bye in the first round of the playoffs baby!!!
That BYU lose was great, but I'll bet they stay ahead of Boise in the rankings. At the end of the day, BYU or Colo, whichever is Big 12 champs will probably, based on bias, rank ahead of Boise St.
It’s not great but I think UNLV will be ranked this week in the CFP and it’s till a better win than any other G5 team has right now including Army and Tulane. I’d expect WSU to be back in the rankings by the end of the season
No doubt about it, so loved winning that game but hated the overall sloppiness and vanilla offense. If we open up the offense, Jeanty and Mad Dog have a field day. If open and functioning, a jammed box is suicide for the opposing teams. I am worried about our competition for the MWC championship game as well as next season. Nevada, UNLV, and SJSU have risen from the ashes ("nothing" teams) nearly overnight and play powerful football with less quality players. Not to mention all 3 schools have "WOW!" QBs, RBs, and WRs whereas our team has woeful depth. Please, Danielson, if SJSU added 40+ players before the season, why is our recruiting not in the 50s nationwide? We're, as usual, in the late 60s to mid 70s just like Harsin and Avalos kept us so our cupboard is thin. Although scary to watch with all the so-so play, I'm totally stoked that we are FINALLY a 4th quarter team...never happened with Harsin or Avalos!!! GO BRONCOS!!!
We are top in the conference in recruiting this season. Also Avalos was an excellent recruiter and greatly responsible for our offensive line turn around
Dang it if he had just kneeled on that interception i would have almost had the score exact hahaha im not complaining about a pick six though. I was right about Maddog though, what a game for him
Defensive secondary was pure trash tonight. The pick 6 was awesome, but that doesn’t make up for the multiple long passes they allowed. We knew this was going to be a good passing team, and we still looked unprepared. This defense will not win a playoff game.
That secondary isn’t gonna make it in a playoff game. We play off receivers to far and every pass we seem to lose the fight on. SJSU could have gone strictly pass and probably won
SJSU did go strictly pass and they didn’t. Secondary is a major concern right now for sure but it can be fixed. Hopefully the return of Teubner whenever he is bento come back will boost them back to Hawaii-SDSU levels
With a rough secondary, playing soft coverage makes a team have to consistently beat you vs giving multiple opportunities over the top. This approach also invites more mistakes from the offense, which we capitalized on last night. With how often we blitz and how far back our DB's are playing, the coaches are intentionally giving up sections of the 5 yard curl to flat zone on many plays. I personally think it's a good balance for our personnel right now. I also don't think that this will work in the playoffs.
I think because they blitz a bunch that they play off the recievers more to prevent the deep touchdowns. I guess we can't have it all. At least we are doing a good job overall stopping the run. 440 yards passing against us does hurt though.
Another sloppy game. O-line and DB’s continue to struggle greatly. Generally tackling was poor, too. They were embarrassing. Still don’t see a top 25 team.
Sooooooo, how we feeling after that one Bronco Nation…? 😬🫨🤯🙌🏻

lol😂yeah that Tyson fight was a joke.. The females before that were a great fight though!@@ToBasqueO
I feel like the run-blocking isn't as good as it was. I'm happy for the win though.
Imagine how good Madsen will be his last year!

Thought this game was over in the first half. Props to the BSU defense the 2nd half.
I think a lot of fans did! I definitely was not comfortable! Loved the fight to come back with a win and a big one at that!
You mean 1st quarter? It was tied at half time.
Great show!!! And no advertising

Advertising makes him money. Somehow we need to get him up to 5,000+ viewers
So close- 42-24 was mine. I was hoping for a shout out. 😂 😂 Great 2nd half- WTG Broncos pulling off the W!

Definitely a major issue. Hopefully when Teubner returns they’ll be back to what we saw the 3 games prior to Nevada.

jeanty took over in the 2nd half and the last scoring drives
As he does 😁 Madsen’s performance opened up opportunities in the run game
Qb for SJ hardly ever checked down. Got rid of ball quickly. No time to rush.
Very true
This is way better analysis than BNN
I appreciate the support but I love BNN, definitely the best in the game, especially Balltalk with Mike Sanford and Johny!
Maddux played a terrific game. Jeanty is relentless. Broncos closed out 42-7 (or 28-0).
That last stats is particularly crazy considering how close this game felt and was!
Next game perfect to give Malachai a half
Hopefully if we can get a big enough lead. Nothing guaranteed after the last 2 games
Road games are hard, I just want a win
We need a substantial lead.

@ yeah, that’s what 2 high safeties are for. I understand kind of why but at the same time running blitzes aren’t the way to beat a team like that.
