What's the most annoying noise you'd like to remove with this tool?
Uh cars but that's pretty easy to do anyway
Definitely the fan noise.
Mike Russell i’d like to use it on my call track for FaceTime, as I sometimes put guests in my podcast through that, but as you probably already know, it’s a bit hissy, so removing that noise would be nice, and with this tool you can do it in real time so, I’d be able to hear it as the noise is being removed, which would make it useful to be able to turn it on and off depending off on if we need to hear something in the background such as a video playing or something over someone else’s call.
Mike Russell I already put this in the main comment section, but just in case you have notifications only to go off when someone actually is speaking directly to you, how much does this tool cost?
Ryan what do you mean this guy gets it?
Another amazing discovery, thanks Mike and AJ
Indeed, cool tool!
Incredible tool! It works quite well in an extreme situation, which means for more noise content must work wonders. Thanks again. Greetings
Yep, it is just amazing how it knows what the voice is and what the noise is!
This is a life saver. Thank you!
👌
An awesome tutorial as always Mike. 😁
I'm downloading Krisp right now as I'm typing this. 👍
Cheers! 🍻
Let me know how you get on!
Such a lovely day! You saved me. Gratitude!
👍
Very impressive. I torture-tested it by recording my voice on a mic about 2 feet away from an indoor-style air conditioner, running on high, and you couldn't even hear it in the recording. The voice was not great, tending to cut in-and-out at the beginning and end of words, as you'd get with any noise gate abuse, but....as I said, it was an extreme test. Unfortunately I can't even consider getting it because I do not do subscription model, ever.
Really interesting stress test there thanks for sharing it! I think with any tool like this the more you push the harsher it will sound. Maybe this will be a good subscription if you deal with noise all the time.
Wow! Thanks for sharing. I'll try this on my zoom presentation because theres a lot of noise in our house 😂
The best option is always to eliminate (as much of) the noise as possible before recording but I hope this works for you
Awesomeness thank you for sharing.
You are welcome!
Excellent, I'll report back when I've had a chance to use it.
OK, looking forward to hearing how you get on!
will it work on a prerecorded sound or can you use it in post
Hey Mike,
Firstly thanks a lot for your kind tips on this channel.
I have been watching you for many months and following your tips for my screen-casting. I use Camtasia 9 and Audacity for my Software tutorial podcasts (I train people on Python software) which involves screen recording and annotations. Since I live in an area which is surrounded by traffic, churches, mosques, schools, factories; my videos have been spoiled many times as I am about to finish them there is some kind of noise from the above said sources which gives me a spike in the sound file which cannot be flatten. It is taking many takes to finish video and in the due course lot of frustration I am experiencing. I tried going to a remote hill side to record a screen cast but wind is my enemy as it is directly blowing into my Yeti Blue mike, lack of enough power source etc problems. It started as a hiccup and in no time it became my nightmare.
I can't afford building a soundproof booth or hiring a studio room. I've been thinking on this for months and years on how to overcome this problem as recording a screen cast with all the background noises will not sound professional. If it is just a bird chirping sound, that's fine..but it is street hawker shouts, vehicle horn sounds, regular prayer sounds from churches& mosques, near by residents' talk, neighbor's baby crying what not.
I tried many things known to me, but nothing worked out. I am completely stalled without recording a single screencast for months crying and whining. Do you have any idea to better my situation and sound professional.
I have already seen many people overtaking me with meager facilities. At least I have a good voice and confidence but lack of motivation with the above problem is stopping me.
I have seen in some UA-cam videos, when you use this Krisp, the resultant audio sounds robotic and slightly sounding like underwater effect, sometimes drop in the audio quality and sounds unnatural.
My question is, In those situations, can this Krisp be used when and where ever it is necessary (from audio point to audio point) at the stage of editing my Camtasia videos before it goes to UA-cam? Because if I use it live (when recording my screen-casting w/ Camtasia) all my audio sounds' quality comes down and sounds unnatural.
Thanks in advance
hi can i ask this isnt working in windows 7 ultimate?
Mike. Which lens on your a6300? Are you shooting in log and correcting?
Not played much with log. This is the lens: geni.us/sonysel1018
A must for when working from home taking client calls etc. I've even tested flushing the toilet and no one can hear it.
Good test 🤣
lmao
Could this completely get rid of audio playing in the background of say a coffee shop? So neat! Lots of potential.
That's exactly the kind of thing this tool can do. Enjoy using it!
I wonder how well this works with removing background music from twitch clips etc for reuploading VODs to UA-cam
Worth to give it a go - why not!
Can you assign any mic to be the “Krisp” mic or are you forced to use the internal mic? It’s a great tool IF I can assign a good mic to it in the first place.
Yep, any mic can be a "krisp microphone".
Sounds aweome. Got airplanes in the background. Can't wait to remove those!
Good luck. Depending on what you're recording you may need to consider something like a vocal booth to reduce the aircraft noise though if you're looking to record professional voiceover.
is there a way nto use bthisbtonremove background music from content on TV?
What programm are you using to get your mic so good?
My microphone is hardware processed. Take a look at this video ua-cam.com/video/XC3Q4JXowHQ/v-deo.html
Im very new to all this so forgive me if this is obvious or a stupid idea. What would happen if you used one mic close and pointed at you to recotd your voice and another identical mic a little further away and pointed away from you to record the background on a separate track and then subtracted the background track from the voice track?
That is an interesting idea. You could try something out with phase cancellation. This could well work. I made a video about inverting phase: ua-cam.com/video/vNvJKBg3yds/v-deo.html
Will this work in real time when my wife is asking if I have done the weekly chores? :-)
Let me know how you get on with that 😂
Hey Mike, I use this as well, I haven't figured out how to get a previously recorded audio file exported or rendered out to a file with the krisp speaker setting in use. How can you do that???
Great question. In my case I simply connected the output of my computer to a mixer and recorded that way.
@@MikeRussell Ah so you chained the output of a device running krisp speak with your audio you wanted to effect into a seperate recorder to capture. No way to have the Multitrack output option choose that in the recording then?
Not that I've seen yet. Need to investigate further.
Does this work with recordings you have made on your phone if uploaded to laptop?
It will work on any pre-recorded audio
Can the background noise be removed after the wedding program or it has to be removed whiles the program is going on?
It works while recording or after recording.
Failed for me - the demo after installing just had the replay ducking up and down in level and would not appear as a hardware option in Audition. Uninstalled it.
Yikes. Let me know how this goes for you.
Can i use it when i stream on Twitch too?
I see no reason why not
That's cool
Thanks!
@@MikeRussell wow your gift is from Yah.
Can Krisp fix audio in post? If not is there something similar for a video shoot with problematic background noise?
Krisp can also work in post or the Adobe products do have very good noise reduction capabilities in post production
But how can i remove noise from audio files, i have cancelled the noise from audio with audacity, but i am not how recording the audio file without noise
You need to identify the source(s) of the noise and eliminate them before you begin recording in an ideal world.
I'm confused. How is this supposed to work for recorded audio? Does it work like the Noise Reduction effect?
You can use the "krisp speaker" to play back in real time and record that.
@@MikeRussell Record that, how?
I plugged the output into a mixer and recorded that way.
hi mike, im using neundo 4 software. working with AKG P120 mike,Notepad 5. how can i configure it. I couldnt do it .can you pls help me ?
I'm afraid this is not a DAW I'm that familiar with.
@@MikeRussell sir its a recording voice basic software. most of the studios using it for their vocal recordings. one thing is i didn't made accostics that cause too much noise coming. sir i saw your another video about 'ns1-noise-suppressor' is it work with my neundo 4 software. can u give a guidelines. once more, which voice recording software are you using ?
I use Adobe Audition which is industry standard. You'll find most of the audio / radio industry use either Audition or Pro Tools.
@@MikeRussell ok
Can somebody please tell me if Krisp works with pre recorded interviews that suffer from background noise
If you select the speaker rather than microphone it should work on removing the noise.
@@MikeRussell thank you!
👍
is there anything like this for playback? I have a hearing condition, and a lot of stuff I can't watch, like action movies and talk shows
You could use this for playback if you were to route audio through it but it may add some latency to your playback.
@@MikeRussell Not sure I explained well...my goal is to take a video that is already recorded, and isolate the voice only, reduce or eliminate the music, kind of like stripping off the soundtrack !
This video may help but you will want to reverse the settings - ua-cam.com/video/Dt18fkRq8pc/v-deo.html
Can it remove noise from a grinder tool?
You'd have to try and it and see. Any noise reduction technique depends on the noise being background noise so if the grinder is overpowering the audio your best option is to re-record.
*It seems to heavyly reduce the sound quality however.*
Any technique to reduce noise will reduce sound quality if it needs to be used heavily which is why the aim is always to record without umwanted noise.
Will this remove mouth noise and clicks in real time?!
Hi Graeme, it should do
please do you know how to do this in Samsung s 21?
I would suggest a mobile phone would not have the processing power for this
Looks good - How much?
I think you pay monthly for it.
Will this work on geforce experience recordings?
It works on all recordings.
@@MikeRussell thank you
👍
how much does this tool cost
You pay a little bit monthly. Details at mrc.fm/krisp
Anyone have an idea how to use this software with calls?
You'd need to route your calls into krisp using either vb Audio Cable (PC) or Loopback (Mac)
Can it be used on Android phone
This is Mac and Windows only.
what is its price
All the price plans are available when you click the link
Baby crying doesnt work on my krisp pls help
You have to be realistic in your expectations. This is designed to eliminate background noise and babies crying don’t generally come under that heading.
I’d recommend finding a quiet recording environment and re-recording.
It'll block out the noise of the blower of my pellet stove in my office!
it only works in windows 10 :(
Maybe try Mac too?
@@MikeRussell dont wanna go outta my comfort zone ;)
You’re over driving your microphone Mr. Professional
😱thanks!
but its not free
I didn’t say it was 🤷♂️
@@MikeRussell I'm looking for free software so this is useless for me
If you'd like free you could always eliminate the noise at source before recording 👍
@@MikeRussell and that's not possible unfortunately
For Windows it needs Windows 10, which is a shame.
Windows 10 is the latest OS 😄
