How does the Prius handles in the winter? Do you drive it in power mode when there is snow on the ground? What is the manufacturer warranty like? And does it transfer to the 2nd or 3rd owner?
The only true factor for actually purchasing a Toyota product seems to be the damned placement of the mirror controls. Just a pain to lean in to adjust them and not get it truly right even after 50 adjustments. Fuel economy is actually accurate - even after hooning around and I swear, if you want to move this car leave it in Power Mode, it returned 46 mpg.
I have a 2015 . 1) Seats are not ass friendly . I'm not heavy but Toyota should give a better seat or an up grade option aside from heated or no heat , cloth or leather interior. 2) There should be a light under console to eliminate that dark space where they give you a catch all spot. 3) Not factory wired for front camera . This is a bumber because the front bumper is low and very easy to damage From driving to close and hitting the tech term 'concrete control stoppers or pipe bollards ' .Yes I had to look it up . In my year 15 if you want a front camera after market shop price $700.00 .This is pure BS if the wiring was installed to the video screen and all I had to do was add a camera fish eye in the front bumper Wa-La and away we go .Also most people would do better with a back up beeper system along with the camera .My backup camera video display does not have the lines to show you exactly where you are when driving in reverse. 4) many complaints on extra cheap interior dash NO OPTIONS HERE . . 5) Airbag idiot light should display if air bag is not on not to annoy you to tell you it is activated. . 6) A idiot display should come on the dash and tell you the car is off after you push parking button and the on/off button. Very easy to forget when you dont here and engine on . 7) Reverse bells .SoooooSo many never will shop until you put it into drive . Extremely annoying. . On my 2013 same thing . When I got the car both of them I went back into the sales department and asked if those Bells could be shut off or lowered because there was no way that I could do it myself they wanted at the dealership $58 I said I just paid 25k for car and I'm not giving you 58 more dollars to adjust this . other companies allow their owners to go in and adjust those terrible noises. Toyota waived the 58 dollars.Both times Also they should allow you to adjust the volume on those idiot Bells ding ding ding ding ding ding ding what garbage. If you can't adjust everything in your vehicle then you really don't own the whole vehicle. These are my pet peeves there are others but to say that I like the car? I do. It runs well gets good gas mileage but these are very important things to me and I know to other Prius owners I've talked with . Oh yeah 8) Get better other tires then come with the car . I purchased New Defender Michelin Tirere they are much quieter on the highway which is a complaint about the Prius kind of a little noisy.
