    Hello Bahiano, really like your whole video and that improvise lol. My balcony leak recently as water start pooling in once location for a while after it rain.
    1. Balcony still seem structurally sound but I was wondering if I can layer thick layer of Masterseal TC 225 and make it just slightly higher so water doesn't pool there and sand down the other portion to make sure the water drain properly. Apparently it is about 1/8"-1/4" height different small but sufficient enough to cause water to pool. (Note: I will let it dry and recoat multiple time about 25mils per vendor suggestion until I get it even lol)?
    2. I also notice that Masterseal usually go with M200 as base layer and TC 225 as top coat. Is this really necessary from your experience? I know it improves it but when I look at the material properties they are both polyurethane and seem kind of redundant. (FYI I actually use polyurethane for underwater application so i know its really good and it last years)
    3. Can I use this on top of existing epoxy base balcony assuming it sand and get it clean enough to bond properly?
    Thanks really appreciate all your help. Your video is the only one that provide this much detail. From your experience are most polyurethane for balcony about the same as long as it is for a polyurethane for high traffic areas?

    • @BahianoReno
      @BahianoReno  2 роки тому +7

      Hello Crimson thank you very for watching my videos, some times I use MasterSeal to build up some uneven areas (as filler), my painter uses just MasterSeal 225 top coat for smaller jobs and been working very good so far, the base coat is cheaper than the top coat, if you gonna use more than one pail, base coat is the way to go for first coat, MasterSeal works on existing epoxy balcony, it need to be properly prepared (My self I use base coat in every job, because usually I need more than one pail) the balconies in this video were done right in the middle of the last winter, we had some sunny days everything was dry and we protected the areas with plastic against moisture of the night. ua-cam.com/video/LU7d0bcpcrw/v-deo.html

    Hi Mr. B! My contractor messed up on the deck coating, for whatever reason the coating is not adhering to the plywood and bubbling up (it rained and of course still leaked) He doesn’t want to tear up the existing deck system, he suggested added new sheet of plywood and reinstall flashing and polymer system. Will that be ok to add a new layer on top of what we have now?

    • @BahianoReno
      @BahianoReno  3 роки тому +6

      Hello Yuk, cheaper way to do the job, but very bad idea, moisture will trap in between the plywood and membrane and will cause big problem in the future, besides it will add lots of weight (plywood, nails, screws, membrane) all these will diminish the total weight capacity of your deck, please let me know, if you have more questions, keep safe and enjoy your weekend
