What many tend to forget is that Lowe was pitching on 2-days-rest. And he pitched a GEM = 6 innings, one hit, one run, one walk, on just 70 pitches. Lowe would then pitch another gem in the game 4 clincher against the Cards = 7 innings, 3 hits, no runs, no walks, on just 85 pitches
He was the only pitcher to get the series deciding win in 3 series in one postseason, I think Bumgarner also did that in 2014, but Lowe was never regarded highly by media and fans and yet he was the deciding pitcher in every closing game that year.
I miss back when it was SPORTScenter and not WOKEcenter!!!! Then again nowadays I can’t even enjoy the sports themselves outside of hockey and even that is only because I’m willing to overlook some of the BS they’re pulling because it’s nowhere near as egregious as what MLB, NFL, and NBA have done! It’s sad that as a 35 year old fully disabled combat veteran I can’t enjoy/watch sports anymore! At least I still have UA-cam so I can find and watch old games for enjoyment/nostalgia
There were updates of G7 on the BBC all night but it was 6am before we got the final score in the UK - I'll never forget the joy of that moment as long as I live.
2000’s Sports Center was peak 🔥….miss the intro music. Brings back solid memories getting home late from work and catching the day’s highlights from the country
This is not true, the NLCS was an afternoon game and finished before Red Sox-Yankees in primetime. Baseball tried regional action in the LCS only once, in 1995, and it was an epic failure.
As a Cub fan I had a similar feeling in beating the Cardinals in 2015 NLDS. In some way it was as great as winning the series in 2016. Cards fans have that same smug superiority & it was so cool to stuff it in their earhole in the 1 & to this day only playoff matchup. was at game 2 at Busch & it was all Cub fans by the end of the game.
Well what’s even worse is first you couldn’t watch “Wokecenter” to get whatever sports highlights you wanted because they got too political, now you can’t even watch the sport itself because outside of the NHL and PGA (UFC too) all the sports leagues have gotten too political. At this point I would say I think MLB and NBA are the worst although if what I’m hearing about the NFL’s plans are true they will once again be the leaders in that category. I’m a 35 year old fully disabled combat veteran, I won’t get political here, however what I will say is what’s happened with these overpaid and over privileged athletes is DISGUSTING and the disrespect shown to our country, our flag and non-liberals is SHAMEFUL!! I say non-liberal because being an Atheist myself I’m obviously not a full blown conservative. It’s a sad time in our country when I the only sport I can stomach is the NHL and even they are pushing it. I watch golf but only when Tiger Plays and that’s it. I also have lost Coke, Netflix, Amazon, Google, Most movies, a lot of bands/musicians I used to love and the list goes on and on. I end up having to punish myself because these guys are being POS’s.....SMFH 🤦♂️
@@Tremonti4ever Without a doubt, I completely agree with you. Sports has gotten way too political. That's why I propose removing the national anthem, star spangled banner, donning a pink ribbon on behalf of breast cancer awareness, and other military ceremonies from sporting events. Because all of these activities I just mentioned are non-sports related and have absolutely nothing to do with the game being played for that particular day or evening. Not to mention, I have complete disdain and no respect for these left-wing and right wing submissive brainwashed puppets putting on dog-n-pony shows for their left-wing and right-wing puppeteer masters.

Game 7 win in Yankee Stadium on Mickey Mantles birthday, after Bucky Dent throws out the first pitch. That night was truly redsox fan heaven.

Why are liberals considered woke? Because based on their behavior, they're anything but that.
The old ESPN shows are so much better because its not about past players out there debating and yelling at each other!
It also wasn't all about LeBron and the lakers.
Nothing in the present or future will top this comeback and run by The Sox that year
There were updates of G7 on the BBC all night but it was 6am before we got the final score in the UK - I'll never forget the joy of that moment as long as I live.
Hard to imagine we're coming up on 20 years. Still feels surreal it happened
Straight magical theatre. When baseball still mattered

Remember seeing that dude running with that stupid ghost costume and as soon johnny damon hit that gran slam he was no where to be found.
Even 20 years later, I still can’t forget it
The Roberts steal should be #1 on the Top 10 if that didn’t happen the rest of the highlights won’t happen.
it's wild that Cardinals-Astros and Yankees-Red Sox were both on at the same time and relegated to regional action. Good lord.
This is not true, the NLCS was an afternoon game and finished before Red Sox-Yankees in primetime.
Baseball tried regional action in the LCS only once, in 1995, and it was an epic failure.

Beating the Skankees was better than winning the World Series IMO
The Cardinals were just a poor prop in the Red Sox story.

Peter Gammons was WRONG!
There were plenty of times the Sox choked that had nothing to do with the Yankees. It was all about the Series.

ESPN was so good back then.
Can't think of a greater multi game collapse/comeback in sports. 2010 Bruins stung like crazy. 2016 Warriors was shocking, but this was just baffling.
