Thank you for this! This is golden information, especially the weekly non-threatening events. Being dependable is huge in ministry, and if the young adults you want to reach can count on you to be a fun and encouraging place every week, they're going to want to invest more into the ministry!
Maraming Salamat, Po! (Thank you very much, Sir! - in Tagalog) You've packed quite a lot of helpful tips in less than 10 minutes here. For various reasons, ministering with YAs is quite a challenge here in the Philippines, and we are losing many of them from our churches. And you're right, the tips you have shared here is indeed applicable to any church anywhere in the world. Will be sharing this with our national youth organization as our local churches seek to reach out to the YAs. God bless you, Pastor Ben! (ADJA, Youth Specialist/Seminary Professor/National Youth Leader)
Wow 😮 I am in a church for almost 9 years but haven't seen anything working out with young adults. But with this video! I am carrying the idea my church ⛪
Wow!!! I've got so much golden nuggets of wisdom here. Can I subscribe to your channel because I truly want to know how to lead our church to launch a Young Adults Ministry.
Bad music vs speaker’s sound balance. Music got louder and louder, can barely hear the guy. Should’ve lowered the volume of the background music a lot more. Hear the difference between volume at the beginning vs 8:00. Other than that, good content.
Hello! I know this is a year late, but I just stumbled upon this comment haha. As somebody who is launching a YA group at my church, I’m assuming “non-threatening” means no expectations. People don’t want to feel like they are joining a group that is full of experts or people that have expectations for what you are supposed to be/know/act like. Make it inviting for those that don’t even go to church. Hope this helps :)
Hard part is how do you build teams when you don’t have enough people? How do we do this on a smaller scale if the church has fewer resources (people?)

I’m actually starting one at my high school
