  • Let’s be real: Catholic young adult ministry is not in a great place. The majority of Catholic young adult groups and ministers follow a three-year cycle before fizzling out. We’re seeing a mass exodus of young people from the Church-all of whom desperately want a community to belong to. What we need is not more or better content. We need spirit-filled disciples living in communion to accomplish the mission of the Church. In his OSV Talk, ministry expert Pete Burak shares his hard-won wisdom on how we can begin to end the young adult ministry death cycle.

is he saying that the current young adult ministry aren't living or like Jesus' disciples? you say they should be disciples and they should be baptized, repent and Jesus is the lord, but i've been going to young adult groups and that's what they're doing. I know community is important but when I bring it up to other Catholics I get scoffed at saying the church isn't a social club. what can people actually do different?

Acts of charity. Feed the poor, make home made food and hand it out to the people on the streets & do bible studies
