- It was time to change. Generally you should check and determine if the filter is needing replacement once a year or more taking in consideration the environment you are in. Smokers may want to use carbon permeated filters as a solution to clean smoke from the HVAC system.

That was helpful. I put a K & N in my 2018 Edge two years ago. It took me about five time longer to perform this task.. It is a pain to put the filter in but you made things much easier. I'll replay this when I take the K & N out to clean. Appreciation for your videos.

I use the basic filter from Motorcraft, I’ve read that these HEPA type filters reduce airflow and blower motor life. 🤷🏻♂️
Not sure if there is proof they reduce blower motor life. Do they reduce air flow? I would assume slightly due to the closed nature of HEPA however since my wife and one daughter have allergies I guess we will have to give up something for cleaner air and less pollen.

Looks like the same install as a 2015-2017 Ford Edge
This has nothing to do with this video but I have a 2014 Ford edge 3.5 and the purge valve keeps going out and then I get inconsistent idol and it wants to stall at low RPM The check engine and wrench light will come on. Jus wondering if you know anything about this issue? and I bought two motorcraft and two dorman Purge valve with the same result within 2500 to 5,000 mi The issue comes back I don't live very close to any good mechanics sort of in the boonies just wondering if you had any idea of what it could be or I could be missing

Looking at buying one this weekend a 2013 with 140k for 8k hoping it will last another 100k thoughts?
Depends on how the previous maintenance was performed etc. Used vehicles are a crap shoot and generally traded for just a few reasons. Upgrade or repairs needed.
