- 1. Frame is not part of the bed and you sign a contract saying you will not return the frame. You have to have the frame in order to get the sleep number bed. Very misleading.
2. Very Loud Air Pump when you move at night while you are sleeping.
3. it Is just an Air Mattress.
They came and got the sleep number air mattress after 6 weeks and we were left with the frame, that is very big and bulky.

I’ve had a sleep number bed for 10 years. And have moved 6 times, therefore moved our bed 6 times. The base comes apart pretty easy. It’s definitely not that hard to move. I’m 5’2” and weigh 122lbs. I’ve had no problem moving the bases.
Here’s the thing, tell me one reputable mattress business that allows you to return the adjustable base??? I’ll wait…

Ive had a sleep number for 7 years and love it. Non adjustable base. Ready to buy a new king and pass my queen to my daughter.
To be clear, you don't need the base (frame), unless you want the adjustable head and feet part. They can do mattress only installs. And yeah, the length of time for delivery/pickup depends on how busy it is in your market. If there's a big sale, like Labor Day, it can take a while.
We bought one from a store. That's essential. We tried every bed in the place and found them awful until we found the one that was heavenly! Our numbers are very different, 35-85. The o ly trouble we have with that is with activities other than sleep. 🥰
Just have to firm it up to 100, and you'll have a wrestling matte for those other activities.
In my experience, buying a mattress has got to be the most difficult thing you can purchase. You visit a bunch of stores, lay on a bunch of mattresses a minute or two at a time and are expected to make a decision that can cost upwards of 10 grand. Over the years we spent $5000 about 4 times on mattresses that we later didn't like. I have to say, the last mattress we purchased was a simple dual sided king size sleep number. That was over 10 years ago and believe it or not it's the first mattress that has worked out for us. Doesn't mean they are right for everyone but it was for us. We've had zero issues with the pump or controls which to me is amazing. I was very skeptical about buying it as I didn't want to blow another 5 grand on another fancy mattress.
We have five sleep number beds and they are all still as good as new. The trick is to get the C2 model. It's the value model and everyone in our family loves them.

Not at all my experience salesman was fully transparent. Best bed I’ve ever slept on it’s not for you and that’s it.
wow, a litle dramatic on the complaints. I was told numerous times that the frame cannot be returned. The pump is not that loud unless you are a really light sleeper.
The base can be returned and we got $480 back because we didn't need it. The bed is awesome.
We just got one recently and after about a week of getting used to it, we love it. The zero g mode is amazing when we want to watch a movie in bed. I have acid reflux and snore and being able to adjust just the upper section of my side of the bed has helped a lot. I wanted to hate it because it is essentially an incredibly expensive air mattress but now that I'm used to it and have gotten over the sticker shock, I'm a believer.
We just bought the queen size I-8. The issue we have with our new bed is that it is not a “true” queen. It is 3” of less width & 2” less length than our other queen bed. We didn’t realize the size difference. Didn’t realize that you couldn’t return the frame as well until we read the fine print. They should tell you these things.
Honestly, I kind of agree but you should’ve just checked with the dimensions. They show the dimensions of every mattress and you should’ve honestly checked with a tape measure before you made a giant expensive purchase.

The excluded item policy refers only to adjustable bases, not non-adjustable bases. Still sucks though, not sure if its weight related or what, but makes no sense they won’t take that back as well

It’s because its furniture and furniture can’t be returned because it can go with any mattress. Not just a sleep number bed.
@@kingakachi7774 we are talking about the base, which you literally never sleep directly on, not the mattress. And they accept returns for non adjustable bases, but not adjustable bases? Makes zero sense.
I just got the tempur pro adapt medium hybrid and I wake up with my ribs hurting everyday. But my wife loves it.
I wish you would have made the motor work so we could actually hear how loud the pump is.
It is loud. They don't give you a remote anymore so you have to use your phone and download the app. My husband selected the auto adjust...Everytime he turned in the bed it adjusted and the pump woke me up.
We purchased a sleep number 7 yrs ago and it was way better quality than what they are selling now. I'm Soo sadden. We returned the bed and they refused to take the base even though the adjustable base is what we had alot of issues with.

It have been curious about this mattress set up for a while. Just about every "review" video is more of a sales pitch. But this is honest and calls out the real stuff you are going to deal with. It seems like a gimmicky contraption that I want nothing to do with.

I had a TERRIBLE customer experience after ordering my bed. They missed their delivery window without any notice and just rescheduled me 12 days out. After going through several customer service reps I am at my wits end. Going to take a day and debate with my spouse if I need to cancel this deal entirely. Reading the other reviews here I am starting to lean in that direction.
Many of the details in your description are just not true. We're on the internet dude, I checked the site and you can def buy just a mattress if you want. Base is NOT mandatory. I can't hear my air pumps and my room is silent with the responsive air turned on.
Also, the mattress cover is crazy difficult to get off, and I don’t think I can get it back on! Mine was leaking and the customer support requires you to do all kinds of your own troubleshooting, crawling under the bed, unplugging hoses, etc etc. I’m in my 60s and this is not what I signed up for!
I just checked their website and this isn't entirely true. You can do your own troubleshooting WITH them on the phone, or they can send someone out at a fee. I like that they offer the option to take care of your own property unlike companies like Apple.
My wife and I just spent an entire afternoon in a sleep number store laying on mattresses. My wife absolutely loved the sleep number bed. As for me, it felt like a glorified blowup mattress. I have disc herniation in my lower, mid back and neck. I didn’t find it anymore comfortable than the recliner chair. I’ve been sleeping in for the last five years. I felt bad because my wife really liked it, but I couldn’t do it.

So you're sleeping in a recliner because ordinary mattresses aggravate your back injuries. But this mattress is "as comfortable" as the recliner you are sleeping in. Sounds like you finally found a mattress that suits your needs.
They're alright - the one thing they don't really talk about is how inconvenient the bed gets if you have two very different sleep numbers. Even something like a 50 to a 20 creates a trough for the person who is low, which makes cuddling at night...awkward. You feel like you're going to roll into a ditch.

Sleep Number employees are a bunch of liars. Same thing happened to us. They never disclose that the Frame is not returnable. The fame that they gave us has a bunch of issue and now we are stuck with it.

No wonder mattress store parking lots are empty. Even the Sleep Number, in malls across the country are sleazy. Why does buying a mattress come with such ridiculous catches.

Does anyone know if the frame will still adjust your head and feet if we purchase another mattress that isn’t a sleep number, also, will the app still work?
The frame will still function as an adjustable bed base and you can request that they give you the foot rails to keep a different mattress from moving. The app will still for for the base adjustments but will not provide any data that the sensors in the sleep number mattress provide.
I was recently told that the new beds are not compatible with the old bases. So, we would have to buy a new set and they are 3k more expensive than they were a few years ago. Would not buy again.
I had issues with the controller and air pump within 30 days. They couldn’t replace it for two weeks! I had to fight with them to get it to be returned and they charge me $250 to pickup up a bad product! They will not take the frame back and it doesn’t work anymore!
This is not a good reason since most if not all adjustable bases in the market are not returnable soooooo yeah, big flop there with the headliner. You still getting a far better mattress than most and that shouldn't be an excuse to not buy sonce it applies to most if not all. 👍

Get the climate 360 and you can return the frame

How do you do that? The best thing we did was trying them out in a sleep # store.
Dont buy this bed its horrible and very misleading.... Never had back or hip problems as I am very active. I do now after just 2 days , sleeping on couch now can not wait to get this out of my house and to top off they say 100 day free trial and don't tell you can't return the rip off 3500$ base which is crap too!!! biggest waste of money in a really long time
It does take 30 days to adjust. Happened to me when I went to innerspring

How big of a guy are you and how big is your partner? You got the medium tempurpedic and how do you both like it?
Bed was ok at first. Stuff stops working good, split king sheets tear in the middle (they aren't cheap, but they replaced one set for us), hard to get sheets on the split king. Have to hook up to wifi for it to work with all the settings. A big air filled monster..Also, I read fine print awhile after purchasing. It says it cannot be used around oxygen tanks. So very unsafe for folks who have to have them. Also, base is an ugly plastic, their bed skirt looks horrible when put on. Have to use only Sleep number bed skirt because traditional ones won't work and, comforters don't cover the plastic base. Also, only Sleep Number head boards attach to the bed and they are amazingly expensive and color choices are slim. Bed is soooo heavy, it takes 4 people to move it. We have had it only 3 years and I really dislike it more every day. Comments coming from the wife. How do you get rid of one. If you decide to get one, don't get all the bells and whistles like we did.
This is such lies and not honest at all. The adjustable bases are not mandatory to have with any mattress. Its very much optional and in addition to that in the sales contract it states they are not apart of the trial time.
Just admit you either didnt read your contract before signing or you just was trying to be a get over

I would never recommend a Sleep Number nor will I ever purchase another one. If I can get rid of it soon I will. The associates are deceiving salesman and do not tell you all the facts. Terrible bed. Poor sales associates.
Few things that make me believe this guy is not qualified to be making this review haha:
1. That thing that you keep calling a frame isn’t a frame. A frame is decoration, that is called a base.
2. The beds do NOT need a base to function, just a flat surface.
3. There is no fine print or hidden language that says you can’t return the base or “frame”. They literally make you initial the sales receipt saying that you cannot return the base or furniture, (only 1/3 places they tell you to sign lol). 50 secs in and already this much mis info smh
To my point #2 only a climate bed requires a base.
I paid off rover phone and had delivered so I signed nothing !! bed is a scam, glorified air mattress and the adjustible base is a scam and over priced by 2x.
@@michaelz2525 that’s the issue right there man, never make a big purchase like that over the phone without going in and looking over the paperwork. The beds are amazing, as for the bases, I think all adjustable bases are overpriced so agreed.
This was not a climate bed, the tubes that come out of the mattress are at the bottom of the bed so the frame has cutouts for the hoses to go through and not get pinched.

just called sleep number. it starts off with delivery of a mattress anywhere mainland under a week most within 2 days. within minuets it changes to 3-5 weeks. no sale as i cant stand liars
