Mick, it's always hard to lose a plant but I always look at it as a learning experience. We all make mistakes and we all deal with things beyond our control when growing plants and this knowledge is what makes us become better growers. To me you are an expert, because you are not afraid to admit to losing plants and making mistakes and sharing them with all of us. Always enjoy watching your videos, thanks for sharing your grow spaces with us.
Thanks buddy, I think by sharing my mistakes other beginners may not make the same mistake, as for losing plants I think I was quite lucky this winter. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@MicksMasdevalliaorchids I know what you are saying. UA-cam updates certanly make me tidy up things. Inbetween things is not looking that organized.🙂👍
I dump a load of fertilizer into the browning pitchers. The plants love it and the worst that can happen is the already dying pitcher getting brown a bit faster.
Great setup you’ve got there Mick. Where have you sourced most of them from? Hants Fly Traps? And I’ve found they grow fine on capillary matting. Saves on a bit of watering. At least, so far they have!
Geoff I’ve got a few off hants fly traps and a couple of odds and sods from another local grower. I used capillary matting on my vft during winter and it was spot on now to start repotting them that’ll take a couple of days 😂
