Dom, you gotta do a Sphagnum moss video. How are you growing it so well?
It has its moments! Sometimes it's not as pretty! Same conditions as neps! It dislikes drying out and too much heat.
I cant even find sphagnum in my area lol let alone grow it

Hi, this movie is up some time. Hope your Brugmansia bloomed, the red one is amazing. I kept them (cooler, in summer outdoors in Netherlands). They bloomed readily. Even de yellow, white, single and double etc. etc. Now I'm hooked for Nepenthes....
I want to do exactly what you do when i’m older. I’m just not sure what exactly I should be studying. I just recently found your channel and it’s the best thing ever. I really want to breed exotic plants and study them. You are so cool, i wish you luck!

I am sitting here drooling over all of your beautiful plants! I picked up my very first nepenthes about a month ago. I Believe it is a Miranda after hours and hours of researching. I found it along with a bunch of smaller nepenthes that had soooo many pitchers. My poor guy was a LOT bigger but was looking quite poorly with only one pitcher on it. Squawked about the price at the time but again, after research, found I got it at a ridiculous cheap price. It now has 4 new big leaves and looks like it might form around 10 new pitchers! I am so excited! Needless to say, I am now hooked and have already purchased 4 more and I am anxiously awaiting their delivery! Thank you for making this video for us of all your wonderful plants. I do wish I lived close by, you seem like such a easy going fun person along with your amazing knowledge of all your babies!

I just recently got my first nepenthes and I already feel the addiction starting. I love them so oooo much, especially my aristolochiodes x robcantleyi. I also got a miriabilis var. Globosa, ampullaris x fusca and a spectacular x vetchii

I noticed you have a slow-release fertilizer in some of your pots and was wondering what kind it was?
G-Man prime the slow release is from Exotica Plants in AU. Osmocote is similar. Always be careful with fertilizing and experiment on one before other:)

83-85 hottest days with lows in the mid __________?? during the summer? and whats the temperature range for winter 70-75 during the days 55-60 at night? also whats the light cycle for your summer days and whats the cycle for winter!! have you tried not using floresents? your greenhouse looks super bright what happens if you just don't turn on the lights? streching? slow growth? how do you heat such a big greenhouse? I just Set Up my highland greenhouse this year in march and have spent $$ on a lot of stuff but with winter coming im curious on what you use to heat!! btw wish we were neighbors i would work for you for free lol but not kidding!!
Austin Payne the lows in summer are 67-70. Winter days are 75-80 and nights are roughly 55-60:) usually the grow lights are on 12+ hours in winter. In summer the LED help keep heli growing because we have shade cloth. This gives them the strong light they love. For the neps I mainly have them on for a few hours at night. It’s more for working around them and being able to see. I like to stay in there past daylight hours ;) We use a large LP Modine heater to heat. Natural gas is cheaper:) of course you’d be paid in plants if you did work;) haha

or what type can you reccomend my greenhouse is currently sitting in direct sun from 11 am till 3 pm and i have found its reaching into the 90's and thats with an aircondition in the greenhouse!!!

Josue David Mendoza Romero thank you!! We mainly use sphagnum and perlite. Roughly 40/60. A good draining mix that holds moisture is key. Coconut coir and perlite also work well, just be sure to wash the coco as it hold a lot of salts. Thanks!

This is amazing! Can you share how you.. heat .. cool and humidify your greenhouse ? I need to redo my greenhouse.. I struggled with cold temps in winter and heat and low humidity in summer (using fogger.. shade cloth and evaporative cooking wall for summer and winter I tried insulating with bubble wrap.. but still hit 30 in the winter 😬🥶 thank you
I am collecting tropical nepenthes for a large terrarium enclosure but I need to know is tropical a high land or in low land? And what should I be looking for so that I don’t purchase the wrong nepenthes? I made this mistake by purchasing a lovely Miranda online and I was unable to keep it alive for more than eight months.

The Plaunt Life thank you! I give them a ton of Love! We use roughly 50/50 perlite and long fiber sphagnum for our albos.
It would be amazing if you could timestamp the different plants you're showing off. UA-cam has some cool features to make that possible.

When it comes to dimming the Mars Hydro grow light what’s a good number to dim it to?
Erick D I have only used the one we have for a few weeks and keep it on full strength:) they love it!
Do you only use ESF for slow release, or do you use Osmocote pellets as well? how much and how often do you use them?
Kun Lin hey! We only use esf. It looks like many growers have similar results with the extended form of osmocote. The esf is applied every 6 months or every repot. Thanks!
