Me watching Broady on TGC going - is this the real life? Is this just fantasy??! This is the crossover everyone was waiting for; amazing episode this! You've to get Ashwin on the show after this and talk about ethics of Mankading 😁
HOW GOOD. Your questions, Broad's answers, the undercurrent...Pezza's reaction to Broad saying the stumping was good .. *chefs kiss* This crossover couldnt have been better. What a treat!
as an aussie, he is a legend. friend or foe. all time seamer. and had some C about him, which like virat, cook, smith, AB, akram etc. made them fierce opposition to us. david still losing sleep lets be honest. awesome interview thoroughly enjoyed.
As a fast bowler it’s quite amazing he was able to play and perform at the highest level for as long as he did. He played in 121 ODI’s from 2006 to 2016 and 167 tests between 2007 and 2023 and is only the second English bowler after James Anderson to take over 600 test wickets. Englands second greatest ever bowler after Anderson.
Thanks for bring Broady on, honestly one of the best EVER!! What a champ, his views and vision of the game is immaculate. He's such an inspiration for all of us. Let's all take a piece of broady's honestness and love for whatever we have for in life and drive ourselves to success.
Always felt the same about Broady as I did about Freddy Flintoff - their greatest sin was playing for the other side. Would be my favourite players of all time if only they weren't English. Great areas lads.
Great show. Broady is alright isn't he? Can't hate a bloke having fun playing cricket. Well, one that is paid handsomely to do so. Good interview fellas!
Broady is the perfect guest for TGC, seems too nice for a fast bowler. You boys should get R Ashwin to your show, he has a big youtube channel as well, probs could do a colab.
A true competitor. Completely understands the conditions/headspace necessary to succeed. Taking notes to remind himself not to complain about the pitch because of the psychological effect on the team and the crowd, this man understands that the game is not limited to the pitch. My jaw is locking so I will stop.
@@ClassyCricket1 if you stalked my profile, you would have seen that my profile picture is me holding my Australian citizenship certificate. But yeah good chat.
I'm getting crow's feet at the constant bashing of the ODI format by the English who didn't turn up and the Aussies who are time-zoned out of this World Cup.
When he first started playing test cricket, he was being talked about as the successor to Freddie Flintoff as England's next all rounder. He was pretty good with the bat as well, until he got hit badly against India in 2014. His batting went downhill after that. A top score of 169 against Pakistan in 2010 is an example of that.
Cant interview Dhoni yet he has to be way down the order so he can sit on the fence, not just a ordinary fence one more like a Chesterfield with big soft cushions, and every question would of course have to be scrutinised to make sure his brilliant reply's made him sound like the deity he undoubtedly is.
I never thought I'd say this but i agree 100% with Broady on how long the world cup has gone on as well as the knock outs. The way the ICC decided to change the format i don't think has worked. They need to go back to the two pools & knockout stages is way better. Also you've gotta say about Broady is where was his "spirit of cricket" when not walking. Yeah ok the umpire doesn't give him out then he's not out but at least his honest tho. Also the spirit of cricket when Uzzie was given out caught when there was daylight between bat & ball & was very evident & even worse was the third umpires decision while England watching the replay on the big screen & yet they took the wicket instead of calling Uzzie back. So there's no difference in that & what happened with Bairstow & there's no way if it was the other way around then u can say without a doubt that 0% chance England would call the Aussie batsman back yet we Aussie's are the country that doesn't have the spirit of cricket, neither has Bangladesh so at least we have company
The good thing is, the 2027 will be 2 pools of 7 and then knockouts. But it's like a super 6 and then semis and final, which is still knockout-y but it's not the exact same ig. Still should be good
#asktgc Curious to hear how you guys rank (or compare) the Maxwell knock against Bevan's epic knock with the last ball 4 against the Windies in 1996? Given the changes in the game, particularly the size of the grounds, I find it still one of the hardest to beat and one of the few innings i vividly remember where i was at the time, listening to the ABC commentary with the old man. Given that you guys are a similar vintage I'm betting you have similar memories of how iconic that innings was, cant compete in terms of the sheer number of runs, but such a masterful display of a tactical brain. Bevan must have performed more rescue operations than Gary Sweet for that team and was such an important and sometimes forgotten player of an amazing era.
you know what boys i really think Australia really has a good shot at this 🧿 as an indian fan i feel like Australia might win this whole thing and while we're on the topic, I'm sure no Indian batsmen will be able to repeat yuvraj Singh's record or even break it in this wc you know i am not so sure rohit Sharma will be able to hit all 6 in 6 balls and create history again ❤good talk love from xx india
167 Tests and a top score of 167? Statisticians start your scrambling for the records books to find other equivalents (personally, I have played 0 Tests with a top score of 0, so I have done some of the work for you).
Idea for the show. Get listeners to send in their chants that can be used at the cricket about different players or teams. The Barmy Army has some classics but Oz not so much. Like if you agree so the boys see the comment
the cricket WC(s) from now on should be 16 teams in 4 groups of 4 : seed the teams and have quarter finals: 29 matches (30 if you want a 3rd/4th game) and it's done - you can do it in 5/6 weeks without flogging the players. Group 1 - India, South Africa, Ireland, Netherlands Group 2 - Australia, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Scotland Group 3 - England, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, qualifier from an emerging nations competition. Group 4 - New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, USA(their potential is huge and they will bring tv and sponsorship - i.e they can pay their way) you get 2 weeks of knockout matches instead of 1, and every match will have jeopardy because even against the minnow team there will be an onus on winning well for the run rate. and change the points - 3 for a win, 2 for a tie/abandonment and 1 for losing by less than 25 runs on net run rate - give teams an incentive to fight in the latter stages when victory is unlikely but staying in and scoring runs still has a benefit even in defeat... we've had far too many processions in this tournament where the team behind seems to think "fuck it" and collapses batting or fielding after 35/40 overs instead of at least taking it to the last over or two. we've had some incredible performances from NZ, SA Afghanistan & Oz and India have been showing us all tournament how good ODI cricket can be in terms of individual performances with bat or ball but this tournament has lacked nail-biters andi think we need more jeopardy from the first maches for it to be a viable tournament. This league format just allows players to go with their IPL mentality where teams take a few games to warm up sometimes but have enough games to overcome the initial tardiness.
Broady has been the villain for years, but geez it's hard to hate him. I might even go buy his book after that. Just a quick note on the now famous stumping - I really hope it's not what Alex Carey is remembered for.
Congratulations India on being World one day champions, I have not looked at the result but I know a brilliant team like India would not choke while playing at home with all the advantages that brings, so well done India.
THIS is such a fantastic crossover😂😂😂 Broad is the IDEAL TGC guest
Can honestly say I’ve never despised, yet respected and admired a player more in my life. Quality stuff, happy retirement to a legend of the game.

After slagging him off for years you finally got him on
Just love Stuart Broad. One of the truly great characters of cricket. He reminds me a lot of SKW. Compulsive viewing.🇭🇲
as an Aussie, you can't help but love Broad. He is a character, sad that he won't be coming to Australia again as a player.
🥰🥰🥰
Wow you guys took everything head on with the questions you asked him! And he was great with his responses have to say. Great interview!

Ask yuvraj.😂
"Isnt he fkn awesome?" In Dana Whites voice. UFC fans know what I mean 😂

Nope
It’s a good choice 😂

This is why I love these guys! Give everything on the field and such a calm and fun people outside ❤
Cotiest of all COATs. The legend himself 👏
We need a part 2 asap
The interview we've all been waiting for and didn't fail to disappoint!

Love listening to them talk about how India are so dominant knowing what eventually happened
Hes so good

Boys, crows feet deluxe at you for making me like Stuart Broad.
That's a living legend right there, so glad to see Broady here
That was a great interview, thanks!
Thanks for getting the 🐐 on the show lads
What a hero the great Stuart Broad is.
NO WAY!! U did not just get Broady on the pod!! I haven't even seen it to the end but.. oof!
This COAT is just fucking hilarious. Gotta say as an Aussie, when he's good, he's GOOD. Great one boizzzz.
“as an Aussie” says a man with indian in his bio😂😂

What an amazing chat! Thank you lads!! SB on commentary in AUS please!
holy fuck you're interviewing a controversial pom? massive W
2023 ashes was one that definitely proved why test cricket is essential to all cricket formats to exist.
One of the best TGC episodes!
Awesome interview!
Broad is actually a solid bloke
Well done Broady, great move throwing the crowd under the bus. Classic Broad!
Brilliant interview
I have seen Stuart broad on TGC now. ✅
The next one in the list is R Ashwin ⭐
Couldn't belive what I was reading. Amazing work guys
What’s this broady making me like him … god he is good !
I'm getting crow's feet at the constant bashing of the ODI format by the English who didn't turn up and the Aussies who are time-zoned out of this World Cup.
Aussies though third on points table, somehow look clueless on how to bat/bow against quality opposition.
It ain't over yet. India look unstoppable and it's probably a foregone conclusion but it could easily be Australia they play in the final.
Well how can you dislike the guy after this? Great guest!
We’ll this is an unbelievable get from you two wow
I just love Broady a top bloke 👌
Love how Ian always stays quiet in the beginning of these interviews looking mad awkward 😬 😂
the srh helmet in the background made my day! #orangearmy
Awesome chat 👅
Man the palpable tension in the interview 😅
3662 runs. 13 50s. High score of 167. His bowling is all that mattered but that is insane for a 9/10/11
He was more of a 8 early on in his career which is where a lot of those 50s came from
@@hutch022 ahh right makes a bit more sense then

Damn… new found love for Broad… well done all❤
Just as politicians, tgc changed party
I agree with the idea that more knockout stages would be better for the WC

i totally agree
Some man for one man , BROAAADYY
He’s awesome 👏🏼
The karate kid himself. Love Broady now that he's retired. Only a few months ago I hated him. Jokes aside, what a legend
ideal tgc guest😂😂😂
Wow Broadyy! ❤
Brilliant interview. Neither side disappointed. I'm looking forward to you going in on him full studs regardless.
