This show is so great that it makes me feel like being an Aussie could be quite a vibe
Not today
Only when they losing though✌🏼
I know I wish my parents moved to Australia instead of the US sometimes just because cricket is big there. And it's cheaper to get to india.
I literally had my jaw dropped when i checked the scorecard this morning and had to do a double take. That was some batting.
Yeah I was like..hmm
.. 300-2 😳😳😳😳😳
@@realMaverickBuckleyWTC final trauma flashbacks as an Indian with that score
@monke7929 😅😅 Why do we love cricket? She's a cruel bloody mistress!
Brother, waking up checking the score and saying 'fuuuuuuck.' This is England in Australia every year since Bodyline (except 1987 and 2010). Like a tank rolling over you. Stopping. Then reversing. Repeat five times.
@stuartrussell3490506-4, the first day of a brilliant series for us and a 3-0 test series victory.
Crawley being happy that he isn't consistent giving me crows feet
Admittedly don’t watch you guys much when Australia are winning but you are absolutely hilarious. Glad the bbc gave me a chance to find you
Where r they on the bbc
@@thomasconnell7187they did one episode with bbc last week
Same here, I come for English content 😂 . These guys are great and brilliant fun.
As lovely as you chaps are, as an Englishman….I love Aussie tears.
It’s wonderful
😂😂
Lol I have to admit watching Crawley dismantle Aussies was satisfying but watching this guy demoralised was so much more enjoyable 🤣
Brutal times lads. Brutal times
Cry me amore
Love you guys...... as a nailed on Brit, it doesn't matter which way the day has gone, you're my first stop for another perspective.
What I saw for the first time today was Pat Cummins looking really tired. Josh Hazlewood getting one to do the opposite of bounce and bowl Root about a foot below the earths crust definitely gave me crows feet.
Strangely enough for a team that was 2-0 up , AUS have looked the most timid & defensive since then...
Love you salty Aussies. A very happy Pom...
Mate, there wouldn't be enough potatoes in the world to make chips with the salt we are producing right now.
These guys hit pitch perfect for all cricket fans. They thread the needle very well
Take it any way you will... the Australian players had the class to recognize what they were a part of and congratulate Crawley as part of their send-off - and that is the appreciation for quality that the vast majority of good athletes, regardless of affiliation, have for their peers. Parochial 'Fans' wouldn't be harmed by cultivating the same sensibility.
I fear rain is going to deny us a 2-2 trip to the Oval and the perfect ending to a fantastic series.
If England get to a massive lead, I'm content with it being rained out.
Won’t happen. Weather isn’t going to be shit enough to save Australia in this one. In fact, it’s unlikely we even get to day 5.
Pat Cummins had to fake an injury and go off the ground for 30mins to reset. Hand the tactical game to smith. Reset and come back on. I feel Pat is a closet arrogant Cunny at times.
It's pissing down now. going to be so depressing🌧🌧🌧
@@jimmyodriscoll9273 it was always the danger in this game. That forecast doesn't look great for the next couple of days. I'm guessing our boys will be doing a rain dance in their hotel!
You boys took one helllllll of a beating today
This is absolutely glorious to watch 😅 viva La Bazball!
❤❤❤
@@jamesrh10 thanks mate, Crawley clearly better than Smith and Labaschagne. And Cummins should be ashamed of his captaincy today. Bowl them out before tea tomorrow
Smith out in the field looking like his parents told him he can’t have ice cream for dinner! Absolute strop!
England fan here. I've been watching this channel for at least a year and a half to 2 years now and it's great to see you getting on the BBC. Top quality stuff will always get recognised sooner or later.
This Pom woke up in NZ stunned to see that score. On to his highlights - Bazball lives!
Crawley is amazing. Did you see how precisely he caressed the ball off his inside edge through the perfect corridor where it was 2mm too fine to hit the stumps, and a couple of centimeters too wide to be caught by Carey. That was the ashes, right there.
😂
Couldn’t wait for this video !!!
Lolz, well played chaps super fvcking funny surmising and delivery. Loved the analogies. It’s great to see how much it means to you and don’t feel too bad, as a lifelong England fan of 40 years I can tell you we’ve been on the sharp end of a fair few pumpings courtesy of you our beloved cousins ❤. It’s uncomfortable at the time and hurts even more afterwards but what doesn’t kill us pisses us off and we use that to start a fire. You guys know the script. Best Aussie cricket pod, light years ahead of those other two. Those guys know their stumpings but the matey on the left with the windows. - unclench mate you’re creating a vacuum and my ears are popping,,.
Subbed 👊
This is genuinely the funniest facken Podcast ive ever seen. 😂😂
Lovely stuff, fellas. Enjoyed that immensely.
The toddler metaphor was brilliant 👏🏼
The contrast between Higgo's raw, vulnerable pain and inability to give real credit without a little dig, and Pez's more cerebral, objective acknowledgement of the inevitability of Bazball was quite stark in this one. I agree with Pez that a day like this has been coming, if England could slightly recalibrate the balance of risk-reward shot-making, and that's what they were able to do today. Targeting Cummins was particularly inspired, because it heavily impacted the best bowler and the captain in one go, and paid huge dividends.
At one stage I wondered if Australia would ever actually take a wicket ever again
What can save Aus? Frigen Double tonning of Smith / Labuschagne. Its high time Australia batting showed up.
Marnus is what we call a "home track bully" averages 70.5 in Australia in 22 matches (37 innings) but outside averages 37 in 20 matches (36 innings).
So I don't expect much from him in this tour.
But he has a long career ahead, let's see what happens.
I am happy get to see Aussie smashed and looked like player were crying in the field like a baby.😂
Zak Crawley doesn’t have crows’ feet.
Enjoy today Aussies… that’s what the entire 1990s felt like for we England fans!
ENG fans have come out of the woodwork after one good day...ha ha....you are lucky you have won the toss every time...
@@1362pc😊😊
😅😅
Yup. 10 years of getting hammered by Australia (and Sachin, Brian, Waqar). But particularly Australia. So depressing.
@pauljcross2289 Fair.. but then it's not really made much of a difference, its not like the win the toss bowl and its hooping around corners. Plus, the last two tosses Punter was saying they were 'a good toss to lose).
Aussies don't make excuses.
@@1362pcdidn’t Cummins win the toss in the 5th test and lose 😂
Probably my favourite ever day of test cricket. Aussies well and truly in the mud 🤌🏻
Love the show but your boys have took one hell of a beating you’ve been Baz bashed 😂😂😂😂
Always will be Boxing Day 2010
For me
@@jackfrancom1999I couldn't watch that at the time, was on a stupid channel I didn't have 😂
A guy averaging 29 having that much luck, near misses and flukes is probably the mother of all crows feet. When the fuck does that happen to Green or Carey haha
When it's your day it's your day.
Aussies have just been so reactionary since test match one, not once have they tried taking the game to England. Just tried nullifying England. Mitch Marsh is class though, and that’s coming from an Engerland fan
he’s showed more than Green i reckon?
Partially due the fact, all they have to do is draw to retain the Ashes. The Bois were on fire in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and tbf even India. They might not have won ,but it wasn't a 4- 0 drubbing either ..
@@maxpowers20 Green needs some more time in Shield cricket, at his best in the Shield before he got picked for the Test side he was batting with authority and power; at the moment he looks timid and completely unsure of his ability and technique. Some time away from the pressure and spotlight of the Aussie side where he can just focus on his cricket will do him wonders.
You mentioned that England do this well in English conditions. I agree.
However, a gentle reminder that they won 3-0 in Pakistan playing this style when, a few months previous, Australia went there and won 1-0 playing what can only be described as a defensive style of cricket.
If I were an Australian cricket fan, I would be questioning that style of play.
We are questioning the style of play, but it’s also true that England have asked for and produced flat lifeless pitches to play their style on very much like Pakistan’s wickets
@@samwheaton8591, I was not aware that there was a desire within the Australian fanbase to see a more attacking style of play. If true, that’s great news.
The whole premise of ‘Bazzball’ (other than to cover up England’s own deficiencies) is to encourage other teams to play in a similar style to rejuvenate test cricket. I truly hope it works.
As for the pitches… I can’t disagree, but they all do it, including Australia.
Australia played on 2 highways
@@jspa8030 I wouldn’t so much say we can’t replicate bazball. But there are certain ways to go about the game we expect. For example we all wanted the aussies to fight fire with fire and go toe to toe with England and trust we have better players to prevail. Instead it seems like we came in looking to nullify England, terrified to concede a boundary. Letting tail Enders milk endless easy singles. Aussies HATE that
@@jspa8030 also I wouldn’t say australia sit there before a series and openly demand a certain type of wicket like stokes did. It’s very much down to the individual grounds man in Australia
After Edgbaston, Bazball and Englands gung-ho approach was mocked. Fortunately a more pragmatic approach has seeped into the England Psyche and this test is finally evidence of it. However, in the context of the ebb and flow of this series that was brutal and exhilarating and unexpected. 178 runs in a session is not something you see everyday and it came about because of the platform Mo and Zak created by working the ball for singles and refusing to hook. Not going to lie I thought Zak was going to fall to any ball pitched wide of off stump. He rode his luck and the Aussies stopped with the tactic because of the flood of runs. Stokes will be disappointed now if they can’t post a 200 run lead.
You're awesome, dudes. Keep it up!
Pumped!!!!
Cumings as a captain gives me massive crows feet. Zero tactical awareness.
I am from Kent. We love Creepy! ❤ And NEVER doubted...
Best Ralph wiggum impersonation
From the very first huff I knew this was the episode I’ve been waiting for
Any crawlheads here ? You should know that Crawley was interested in opening ever since he was a boy
Succession reference on point.
well tbf yesterday you did said you wanted to see someone take charge
Seen this coming yesterday Aussies look knackered in the field
Loved the Moccona ad reference 👏
Much enjoyable, gents. Thank you.
The irony of Nando's being Portuguese themed but South African founded. We welcome you sir 😂
Australia’s decision to play for the draw has backfired incredibly.
I see he reactions boys, confusion, shock, praying for rain, and then I have a vision of Steve Waugh, batting for 2 days...and then I remember...PTSD....I feel for you boys, but these are halcyon days for England 🇬🇧
You two are very fair in your assessment, new subscriber
salty australian tears... the finest kind.
Love all the rattled Aussies in the chat!
Just waiting for higgos to ask the question…… does this mean Crawley is good now? #crowsfeet
Captain “clueless” cummins seems like the type to win the toss in a div 5 B grade team who’s only had 8 people rock up and choose to bowl first
Best quote I heard was "its Bazball vs Boyc's ball 😂
The Lyon sleeps tonight.
Australia are really missing Garry.
Agree totally that this has been coming. I said before the series that it at some point the England bats will get hold of us and today it happened. The only surprise was how long it took. As a neutral it's thrilling stuff, but as an actual Aussie fan I'm praying for three days of rain.
Love this show!!
Losing the 3rd test seems to have made the Aussies nervous
Whilst England are playing without fear
Looks like the rain will probably save you but having watched this day's play, Australia just didn't know what to do. Good hour's batting tomorrow and bowl them out cheaply and Australia will struggle to come back for the 5th test.
This is a therapy to me. Thank you boys 😔
Let's hope rain doesn't save the Aussies
ENGLAND BABY ❤❤❤
Yeah na, let's hope it does.
Love the honesty and humour of this podcast. I think the weather just might take out a day and a half!?
After yesterday I don't think we deserve to be saved, but we all know it doesn't work like that.
@@SilentHotdog28Nah, that would be so weak. Plus, isn't it nice to achieve things through skill, guile, guts and team work than because it rained.
The British century is here ;)
Well, I didn't expect that today as this England normally seem confused what a first innings is for. Crawley rode his luck though. On another day he would be out for under 50. Just crazy. The weather and how tomorrow morning goes are now key. Also, can Starc bowl?
You guys crack me up. Love it.
Australia parking the bus is giving me crow’s feet
Love the humor of this show
Will Cummins resign or be sacked before the next test ? Looked like Smith was captaining the side
Love you guys 🙏#lovefromengland (I watch you when we lose and I watch you 5 times when we win)
As an Englishman with chronic erectile dysfunction (as we all suffer from) your comment on having our hard ons out did make me giggle
Wow Shropshire got mentioned🎉
The first time you see Zac play you think, now that is a shot player. A guy that has a shot in his locker for every ball that you may care to bowl at him. He may not always exercise it as well as he would prefer, but when a shot player is at the wicket it is almost impossible to tie them down. You either get them out with a very good ball or piece of luck or you get crucified.
Australia first innings messed it up by someone not going on to make a big score. Now the weather could have the save Australia.I hope not because England played really brilliant.
Zak Crawley, did you notice took singles before the lunch, then after lunch opened out.Why did he have so much confidence?I think the Australian fielders moved so much to the boundary.
Crawley noticed this and that gave him more confidence.Australia first innings and boundary fielding are big mistakes.Stokes need to bat till lunch.Get 150-200 lead we need them back In quickly.
I said this at the start of your series coverage that it will come down to England bowlers staying fit and having a wicket that isn't just a dead track. They struggled to bowl out Australia on pitches worthy of the sub continent (perhaps they thought as they could do it in Pakistan they could do it against the Aussies who are a far better team), but now they're finally getting a fair cricket pitch their bowlers can show their skills. It's England. Play to your strengths.
Morning boys..WTF just happened? 😂😂😂
Hahaha such a great response by Higgos 🤣
This is the best podcast ever (I am English )
Ello Ello from England. This was a delight to listen to!
8:51 "I'd very much like my meat seasoned with a lot of Aussie salty tears" - anonymous English cricket fan
You blokes probably feel exactly like i felt in the 2021/22 Ashes series. Down to staying up all night and being totally demoralised by 2am.
absolutely top class stuff boys!!!!...... 'can it rain for a month??'.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣... 'Baz is gonna get yer'
The real crow's feet is how anti climatic it would be if rain ruins this series in the next 3 days.
Na, no crows feet for that. Australia might be able to draw this test, then maybe even the next and win the series. I'd be fine with that.
What a brilliant series it's a shame England got ripped of with the weather...🌧☔
Zac Crawley is the best player you’ll ever see that averages only 30.
Stokes only a bit ahead of him
As an Englishman, I’ve watched this video twice already and now watching it for a third time with my penis between thumb and forefinger!
“Let’s see them do it against our boys”, they said 🤣
Looks like its gonna be 3-2 England .... This was a proper beatdown, Australia looked like minnows playing against a big team......
And the good guys win this day
I came for salty Australian tears and I got them, thanks TGC
I love watching you guys, even with all yer pommie bashing. But all joking aside - n shit - your humbleness and appreciation for quality cricket stands out. Quality analysis guys. And im not at all jealous that you have the best job in the fuckin world. Nuffluv
Credit to england
Theyve really been ahead of this series for 80% of the time and Australia have capitalised on the significant moments more
When the other team is ahead for so much in the series eventually you wont capitalise on those moments and this is whats going to happen
Full credit to england have looked far better then Australia not only this test but also the series😊
I wanna see Lance Morris in the team. Everyones talking about how Wood is blasting the Australians, let's give it back to them. Hazelwood got wickets today but I reckon he's way off his best form of 18 months ago. Fly Agar out there as well in case we need a spinner I think he's the best back up for Lyon, experienced, can bat and he's awesome in the field. Let's try opening with Mitch Marsh in the last test seeings we'll be taking the Ashes home anyway thanks to the English weather.
F*** the weather in our country 😢
Chances of rain:
Day 3 - 70%
Day 4 - 100%
Day 5 - 90%
Day 3 clears up by start of the afternoon session so we’ll get two sessions.
Day 4 looks a write off.
Day 5 looks to be improving. We’ll see.
‘The nearly team.’ Bang on. Almost excellent, but not good enough to seize the moments, especially away. They are what they are. England are better, especially at home. Crawley was great. We were awful. 2013 areas. Almost, but no ‘New Hope’ Agar flying a flag.
Go Matildas.
I was too buggered yesterday and gave up on the cricket early, one of the very few times I haven't stuck it out. Looks like a I picked a good night to go to bed early. Fucken hell. This one's gone on its ear. Only the weather can save us now. Based on what I've heard I'm not sure we deserve saving.
Imagine the pressure that's on David Warner now. If he gets out cheaply in the second dig his time in the team is over. If ever there was a time we need him to step up this is it.
Watching the crows feet of the Aussie bowlers was extremely satisfying.
Now Cummo, Joshy and Starcy know how Mo Shami and the Boomster felt last year.
Won't lie, I have been enjoying this one. It's a bit shoe on the other foot for some of us. Also loving the amount of English comments going in. What I would like to give a nod to is almost every Aussie on the field shook Zak's hand, that sportsmanship and respect should be recognised. Also, while Pat and co are going to be tired at this point, you feel like Steve, Marnus and Travis are either going to go big at some point or start looking for coaching jobs. Can we keep a lid on them for one more game?
You've got to love the Aussie commentator's
Proactive cricket is ultimately going to win always, also destroys opponents mentally
Its such a shame that rain is gonna decide the ashes.
Cummins doesnt seem to fancy Green with the ball much does he. Sadly i think this will be a 3 day test and i can't see us bowling you out in 2 sessions tomorrow
It’s so frusterating to watch green get given a few overs to bowl line and length and look really threatening and clearly Cummins says okay now bouncers
@@samwheaton8591 it's odd, having a real A grade all rounder is the biggest asset a team can have. Green's clearly class but how can he kick on and grow into a top international player if his captain doesn't trust him. Haven't been impressed by Cummins captaincy at all, maybe time to look at an alternative. Should have given it to smith a few years back but I think that ship has sailed
Cummins reminds me of an under 14 captain I once played under who came into bat and spooned a catch first ball to mid off, and then when fielding, stumbled over his own feet twice when losing the flight of two balls that should have been catches. Wheb a cricket team realises it is a losing under 14 side captained by a dunce who has no concept of strategy or nause it can be quite dispiriting. Sad to watch.
What's giving me crow's feet right now... the bloody weather.
