My old band "The City Bleeds" opened for The Deftones the night before this show in Wash. DC at the Black Cat. Got to watch them from the side of the stage- I've been a huge fan ever since. 22 years later and I still never miss them when they play in the DC area.
Deftones adrenaline got me through some tough times in high school. I was in 10th grade and I would listen to it on the way to school. I used to try to spike my hair the way chino did but could never get it like his.. deftones are still one of the most unique bands around with a one of a kind sound.. I'm glad they decided to steer away from the "nu-metal" label and stand up for what they believed in
Chino's voice is so melodic. I saw them play in a small bar in Sacramento in 95 or 96 and had to hold onto a poll to not get ripped off. This brings back some great memories. Thanks for the share~
I was at this show. It was amazing. The crowd was really small and the club was tiny. It was basically an old Baltimore row home. It’s cool to watch the video to see if the show actually jives with the great memory of it.
Right! I was 4 in ‘96 i wish i was born in 1980 so i could be 16 and went to this show as a teen . My buddies band played an open mic at 8x10 back in 2008. Place is cool

FM I was the only one on this site that was at the show and they did not do a Weezer cover in 1995. They did do half of the Supertramp song and that go into engine no 9. How am I still positive after all these years? I videotape the show. Also Monster Magnet did not perform at the 8x10 on November 1st 1995. Where the Deftones came back through in late 1996 they performed with Monster Magnet after they had toured with white zombie and Pantera. If you weren't at the show how are you making Corrections? A local band opened this show. Also the video tape that you have linked through UA-cam is from 1996. They performed 55 minutes in 1995. The person who uploaded that show on UA-cam has the wrong date. One last note, I have never released my video of this show from 1995. "

I’ve always thought Abe Cunningham is an exceptional drummer, with solid meter and innovative use of the kit. I know he was gone for awhile and wonder if this is maybe not him. The drums here are not so great. Maybe just a bad night?

@@ryanbennett1980 no. If I recall correctly, they were on tour with Kiss as an opener and on off nights were booking shows at small clubs.
