Insta360 X3 I found the BEST wireless mic (and for ONE X2 too)

- The Movo wireless mic set is the perfect external microphone for the Insta360 X3 and One X2. The small receiver is slim enough to not show in the 360 stitching. Of course you'll need each camera's audio adapter. The Movo receiver fits into the audio adapter as it has a 3.5mm trs jack. Connection and pairing (between transmitting mic and reciever) is simple and quick. The set comes with two mic transmitters, a single receiver, two foam pop shields, 3 usb-c charging cables and a pouch to contain all the parts. costing £50/$50 I think the kit is good value. Sound is good, but will suffer in windy conditions as there is no deadcat available.

thanks , its really worked with me great for motorcycle volg inside my helmet , cheers from DUBAI
Good to hear as a lot of people ask about this
Where in your helmet did you put it? I am struggling with this.
@@charrghgaming7998 just under my lips , make sure u not blowing air directly to it , u can put it at the side near ur ears also will be clear voice . It all depends on the gaps inside ur helmet
Thank You
Hope it was helpful
Thank you for the review. I just dream that if the adapter had 2 holes, we could use a double jack and that would be amazing!
Thanks for your comment
I use this in my motorcycle helmet, for the price it is fantastic value. produces clear audio, easy to charge and very small.
Totally agre
How well does the Rode stay in place compared to this movo? Minus the rode cord. I'm looking for a mic while I snowboard and the movo seems too risky. Like it could fall off easily.
Thanks for any info. Cheers!
With the adapter (PT-20) the Rode will stay in place and doesn't move. Occassionally the wire can move if knocked.
I see that the audio adapters are not the same on X2 and X3. What is the audio adapter you are using for the X2?
For both I'm using the Insta360 audio adapter. I had to rebuy the audio adapter when I upgraded as the One X2 version will not work on the X3
Have you tested how far away the microphone can be from the speaker? I am interested in using this setup for research and, in some cases, the microphone might be fixed to a single subject but, in other cases, I'd like to set it in an area to record multiple subjects that might range from 3-6 feet from the mic. Do you think this would be feasible with the movo?
I've not tested this but think 3-6 feet is realistic and doable
Hi, when I plug the receiver into the camera it doesn’t show up on my camera at all. Official microphone adapter and the same MOVE mic as above. Should I be changing a setting? I can’t seem to get it working at all
When you speak can you see a coloured line move on the screen?
would it be good for recording concerts or clubs where sound is really loud ?
Not sure. I don’t think you can reduce the gain on the mic or record dual mono (with one channel set much lower for safety). You can control gain on the X3 but always advisable to set gain on mic too
Can we get an USB-C wireless mic like from Ulanzi be able plug in direct to the usbc on insta360 X3 port and use it or do we really still need to have the adapter?
I've tried USB-C mics and they don't work. Only mics that seem to work are ones with t the adapter
@@Big-GVideo awww man, that sad to know. But hey, thanks for getting back. Appreciated man. Great content!
So you dont think the wind will spin that receiver around? You can tape the cable down on the rode or cable tie it. I ride motorized vehicles and this looks like a no go.
I don't think the wind would spin this around for every day use. For motorcycling I'm unsure (I don't use a motorcycle so cannot confirm/check myself). It's not possible to tape down the Rode wires. However, if you use the Ulanzi holder then the supplied wire is the minimum length to avoid wire movement
If the mic is providing adaptor for the receiver (type C) will just connecting the receiver to 360 x3 connect and record audio?
I think you're asking if usb-c mics will work. They won't on the X3
@@Big-GVideo thanks for the response back.
Could you suggest me what would be best for moto Vlogging. As I'm planning to buy a new insta 360 X3, just looking for some alternatives 🥲
DJI Action 3 or 4 May be more suitable for recording audio
The receiver can end up spinning and appear in your footages too right?
It's possible that the receiver could spin, but it would need to get knocked for this to happen
I'm just wondering where the receiver is getting it's power from.
A good question. You have to charge the receiver as you would the transmitters
What's the advantage of having two transmitters? There is a cheaper option with just one.
The only advantage of two is if two people need to speak at the same time
This mic will work on Ace Pro/Ace?
Yes with the audio adapter. I show this mic with the ace pro in this video ua-cam.com/video/6NyqNNLXmG8/v-deo.html
Is it possible to use a wind sock/muff for this mic?
If so, which would you recommend?
Possibly you could use those stick one wind muffs that you can put on GoPros?
@@Big-GVideo Im actually having a somewhat hard time finding these stick on wind muffs you speak of, I apologize >_
something like this amzn.to/3RVArBh or this amzn.to/3RTZmW3 I've not tried them myself but the only thing I could think of
@@Big-GVideo thank you my guy, much appreciated. After doing some more research, came across the comica 3, might be more better budget friendly wireless mic + they make the lavlier mics. If you go buy the comoca 3, it also comes with 2 mics in case you want to add a 2nd person + wind muffs all in one so you don't need to buy extra accessories.
@@Zerataul Glad you found something to your liking
So the audio adapter accepts TRS mic or 3.5 mm right?
Correct
Would you recommended this mic for being used with motorbike and helmet?
I'm not a rider, but I think this a good set for the X3. I cannot comment on how well it will perform for a rider with a bike and helmet
@@Big-GVideo Ok thx :)
X2 k sath kam karega kya
हाँ यह करना चाहिए
@@Big-GVideo mere pas x2 ka mic adapter hai
Is the microphone invisible?
Yes it is invisible in the 360 video
Until it doesn't turn a bit like the cable of the rode
Not had that problem
I had incredibly annoying interference with the RODE wireless the MOVO Absolutely none.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
What about the Boya Link microphone?
What connection does that mic use?
@@Big-GVideo I believe it has adapters for all 3, usb-c, lightning and then a typical pointy one :p
@@eddy_creative Thanks for that it sounds a good all purpose solution. I hope it's not too expensive.
But I’m not sure if it’ll be in the stitch line , how about the boya wm3t??
@@Misterdave998 The Movo mic in the video won't be in the stitch line, cannot comment on the Boya WM3T
Wanna bet this reciver can move? That is why it is easy to lose while motobiking at all and this sound from mic is almost the same like from airpods. Noisy and low quality
So you've used this on a motorbike? I'm impressed that you managed to connect airpods to the X3, I've never been able to do this!
@@Big-GVideo x3 have this option, so you can connect even intercom via bluetooth but still quality is lower than for exaple rode wireless
