  • Since I have received many requests about how much does it cost to live in Prague, Czech Republic - I have decided to record this video to bring value to those of you planning to move to Prague. In this video, we are talking about two different scenarios: a student's low budget life and an ex-pat with a full-time job living alone. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help. Please give Thumbs up and Subscribe!
    Thank you,
    Davud

    Hi David,
    Isn't that money 20950 much for a student?
    I have heard that a 5 to 6 thousands Czech corner is sufficient for living a student lifestyle.( Student living in dormitory)
    Am I right ?
    Let me know
    Love and support ❤️🙏🇳🇵💐 from Kathmandu Nepal.

    my university is Prague city university, it's a UK based university. the university has informed me that since it's a UK based university, my visa type will not be a study visa but will come under the category of 'Other' for educational purposes and will take time longer than the study visa. I am not able to find any further info about this and the university has not applied, would you please let me know about it? the university has also informed that my 12th marksheets will not be required for the application of this particular visa type. I am not able to find any info. regarding this in the immigration website. I have been following your channel since quite a while now and I need some serious help. PLEASE REPLY🙏

      Hello Ali, there is no ban on the international flights at the moment. But there is such a rule you cannot visit Czech Republic as a tourism until further notice. You can check the below website for all the updates: www.mvcr.cz/mvcren/article/coronavirus-information-of-moi.aspx

    Whats the effects of covid-19 on these calculations

    • @Davud_Akh
      @Davud_Akh  3 роки тому +2

      Hello Rajan, current effects can be rent costs - since there are not many tourists. Some Airbnb places started renting their places for long term. So there are more renting options for better pricing. Overall no other costs are effected, except people prefer to eat at home, since restaurant/cafes are closed and working with delivery only. I hope this helps, Davud

      Rents have decreased. According to statistics, by at least 6%, in real terms by 15 to 20%.

    Me, as a Czech citizen, was afraid off, that you would exaggerate the numbers, but you're really correct.. Just the average earnings are a bit higher (by GDP per person we have surpassed Italy, Spain, Greece etc) + the taxes are going to be declined to 15 %.. I mean, we are suffering under the Covid situation, but the economy will decline by 6,9% in 2020 ONLY, our currency is exceptionally strong and so on... Yeah, the restrictions will have an impact, but we are still going to remain a country within the EU with the lowest unemployment , the 4th lowest debt around 30,4% in the EU etc... So we can afford this...
    And to your video content - Great, just one thing, you did not mention, that our health insurance, social insurance etc get covered from our salary or the state if you need to, therefore we have an excellent medical care... Even now proven by the Covid situation..
    Have a nice day

      @Davud_Akh  3 роки тому +3

      That is a great to hear from you Viktor and I am happy you approve my calculations as a Czech citizen :)
      Thank you very much for your feedback, very valuable as always!
      Regarding Social Insurance since it is yearly cost, I did not count it in montly/weekly costs. For students, I left it in "Other" costs, and for expats this can be covered from employer side. Indeed, Czech social insurance is amazing! Davud

    • @jerielita
      @jerielita 3 роки тому +1

      @@Davud_Akh Are the social and health insurances totally covered by the employer? I was told that part of your gross income goes to pay your part of these insurances and even more than this amount is taken from your income monthly... Is that true or how it works? Thanks for your useful video :)
