Hey! We hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by :)This is the second phase of the build, part one can be seen here ua-cam.com/video/-Oj58CmPHMo/v-deo.html .
A labour of love to build such a sweet structure and home. Nice work through the cold northern elements, while putting down your roots. Happy Valentine's Day.
Hey how are you both doing, wow you both done a lot of work on the cabin. And you both are not done. Anyway awesome job to you both. Keep up and thank you for sharing this.
Really enjoy watching the fast assembly process. After watching the normal speed you guys work at - impressed with all the work by the way - getting to see the roof, siding, trimming, installation go so quickly is very cool to see indeed. Cabin is amazing!
Hello to you, Superb couple full of sharing for a superb realization of a life project. In France it would be illusory to embark on such a project ;-) Good continuation, I admire your work and God knows that I am a fine handyman.... You don't need a nice fireplace in your house :-D
I love how quick ya got your home built. I'm thinkin about moving to Tennessee here in a couple of years. The only thing I see that id do different is that id harvest all those pine trees within one hundred feet from the nearest point of your place. Then have then milled to use for another project. Otherwise, you both done an amazing job together.
I been watching your videos from the first day you both started building this cabin and you both have worked so hard to get it finished outside and just about inside I am so happy to be in this part of your journey happy sweet Heart day Rosa
Wow, what an awesome power couple, I watched part one, and part two back to back, it is incredible the elements you worked through, what a team. I subscrbed, because I can`t wait to see the rest of the build, all the best to ya both from Michigan.
Bravo! Excellent choice of music for this video. Nice job editing. Robin and I have been watching you guys for over three years now and its great to see you grow in life and your channel. Thanks for sharing and where in the hell is my Jeep?
Not enough insulation in the floor. I would have filled between floor joists with fibreglass battens after installing closing void with plywood to keep critters out.
This is plenty, this is not our first build this way. The bubble foil along with skirting works awesome and keeps rodents from nesting under the cabin,
Curious if you will be living there year around. What did you do for insulation beneath the subfloor? Looked like you started with a foil panel under the subfloor…
Bubble foil insulation along with skirting works well for us, we have used it before on another place and loved it. Keeps rodents from nesting underneath as well. We stopped because of weather in the video and then went underneath and finished it up after.
Love the Chanel. I’m moving to New Brunswick on some somewhat wilderness land. Every thing I read says no permit under 200sqst. I need a permit if I build anything with a sleeping area. Any help understanding the permit issue would be appreciated. Thanks
Hey , thanks. You can build up to 600 sq ft without the need for an inspection but would still require a permit. Otherwise, if you are in the middle of nowhere just build it anyways, but we didn't say that ;)
❤ Kinda Sad right now,, : ( I think that when I see people with a creek running through their property, I perhaps get a little jealous. ⛔️ Never been a jealous person but I think I do get that feeling when I see video like this. I often wonder If they know how lucky they are ⚠️ Just the same, it’s an awesome production. LOVE the music too. : ) 😊
question, if you would. on your roof, at the peak and ends it is open enough for flying insects to get in and set up shop. are you going to seal that or? just wondering. love these videos. keep them coming.
The order we built was the norm but building in nicer weather would be easier, but having said that, we don't mind and it all worked out fine in the long run.
Most people that I have seen biuld cabins. They put boards on the roof than put waterproof covering g,than the metal.i hope you plan to insulate the roof from the inside.
When you say 'boards on the rood', I am guessing you mean plywood? If so, plywood is not necessary for a metal roof. 2x4 strapping, poly underlay, metal. And yes, if you catch our videos after this point we ended in this video, you will see how we insulated the attic as well. Have a great day :)

Do you have venting thru the roof ? Didnt see any vents. Looks awesome
Thank you and yes, we have gable vents and open soffit.

And I Love the creek shots and sound of the running water. Ummm ….
Oooh wind sounds too! Love it.

What is that wood siding material? Can you post a spec on it?
Hey, you can check it out when it first arrived here ua-cam.com/video/j-S0UAUXem4/v-deo.html
Vc e muito bom no que faz ficou maravilhoso seu trabalho saude pra vcs
I must have missed the part when you installed water fixtures like the outside tap
I don't think we installed the outside tap in the link here ua-cam.com/video/V34B1_iVQSI/v-deo.html but we installed some other fixtures 😊

Classic thumbnail lol. Always nice to see.
Hello what did you use for vapor barrier and how does it work?
Love the Chanel. I’m moving to New Brunswick on some somewhat wilderness land. Every thing I read says no permit under 200sqst. I need a permit if I build anything with a sleeping area. Any help understanding the permit issue would be appreciated. Thanks

tengo que reconocer que vi el video de puro caliente jajajaj pero buen equipo para realizar sus metas, y bonita casa .
what is the life expectancy of the plastic sheathing, in that area with extreme temperatures?
I have never used plastic sheathing so I do not know.
Min 31:56 Little Lady sooo sweet! 🙂
Good job...
Great time-lapse!! When is this winter's Hot Tub Follies video coming?? lol 🙂
haha, its been a while eh.
question, if you would. on your roof, at the peak and ends it is open enough for flying insects to get in and set up shop. are you going to seal that or? just wondering.
love these videos. keep them coming.
Thanks, and we did seal it up with the foam we were using to seal the bottom by the facia boards as well as caulking in any remaining cracks.
If you completed the roof first, then put the house underneath, wouldn’t that make your life easier? Snow wise etc.

With the amount of snow you get, why did'nt you use a birdsmouth on your truss.
With the amount of strapping we put on it for the metal, this roof ain't going nowhere.
why are the windows so small ? we need more light in the house
There is plenty of light in the house :)
Depends on the view.
How long does it take to build a house?
It all depends on how big of a house, how many people are building, how many hours per day can be dedicated.
สุดยอดไปเลย👍👍👍
