I have Canon 70D body and Canon 85mm f1,8 , 50mm f1,8 and 24mm f2,8 but this Mark III body must be super experience to shoot with. is so expensive and not everybody can buy it. We have to use what we have and be happy that technology maded tehe next step in the future. Maybe after 5 yers, I like hobby photographer will be able to buy this nice body. I wihs you good light, stable hand and good shots.

Lots of very expensive kit. Serious question: how does one generate enough income shooting this subject matter (wildlife) to justify the expense of this gear?
I would like an answer to this question as well. If I had to guess, I’d say 75% of shooters who own a Canon 600mm lens are wealthy hobbyists and the rest are pro photographers who have the right contacts to get assignments for Nat Geo etc.
Truth is only a handful of wildlife photographers earn their living exclusively through selling their images. These are usually people who have been affiliated with natgeo for decades. Most wildlife photographers subsidize their income by running group tours, selling calendars and prints and doing a lot of other related wildlife tourism activities. A lot also teach photography and do post processing tutorials. The days of just going out into the wild and taking impressive images and living off them are over for 99% of wildlife photographers.
I think the comments above are right, that most are hobbyists. I am. I know this is not the answer to your question but, FWIW, I have an 80D with battery grip and a used 500mm that I paid $4000 for all and, yes, there are things that their setups can do that mine cannot, at times, but for the shoot in this video you would not be able to tell the difference in my images and theirs. However the weight difference in lenses between 500 and 600mm could be a game-changer for anyone who might not be as physically capable or mentally unstable as I am.
Again, FWIW, what he said in the video about shooting birds is a meditation of sorts is right on.
It's a hobby for many, just like building and racing cars or cycling. I don't care if I make $.01 I enjoy doing it and that makes it worth it for me, but I have a regular job.

What amount of labour is required for bucks after and post photography ? etc. etc.
