Subaru Forester 2.0 XT CVT S-AWD (2017)
vs
Audi Q5 2.0 TDI S-tronic Quattro (2016)

A lot less effort from the Subie to move, very impressive all rounder SUV.
Unbeatable Subaru !!!
Subaru 💙
I think with every crossover these days, AWD systems are competent across the board for everyday driving.
Yes, for everyday driving all of these systems are enough. The differences come in really challenging conditions.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers So difference in every winter :-)
@@Dzordzikk Not during last years no-snow winters in Poland 🙂
My love is the winner 😁 always subaru lover 😎
Wish you could test all these 2020/1 awd vehicles like this in the US. This is impressive.
I think Subaru Forester is the best SUV for the offroad (best SUV not best off road car), but anyway I think it's better than some very off road car also.

@@villepekkala hahah how funny. Subaru's are very reliable actually.
@@HardLordd boxer diesel and 2.0 moment😂
@@villepekkala not talking about diesel.. I'm much of petrol enjoyer more.
Subaru ♥️
When there will be a test of impreza sti?
I can't find any volunteer...
With limited slip differentials front and back plus a lockable center diff 👌 good luck finding a worthy competitor
@@alexbetancourt414 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart: ua-cam.com/video/6KehrLBW4xY/v-deo.html
Sorry but both inferior on the roller test
ua-cam.com/video/5qd4hltsS60/v-deo.html
@@alexbetancourt414 Evo X doesn't have rear lsd. Ralliart has rear mechanical lsd, front torsen and locking center diff. That's everything you mentioned in first comment.
Subaru? Gas and go. Quattro? Gas, eh, wheel spin, wait some time, hmm, still wheel spin, hmm, interesting, hmm, wait, hmm, ok, we can try to go.
One day audi will beat Dacia, one day
Is the Torcen C Q5 system front or rear biased?
40/60 rear biased.
Can you do land cruiser Prado 150 roller test? Without rear locker or any lockers at all.
It will be very hard to find Prado...
I'm just here as a Subaru fan to see an AWD comparison between the two because I'm cancelling my plans to buy the Forester 2.0d due to them being unable to produce a reliable diesel engine. So, now I have to look elsewhere like Audi Q series.
I would say that it's pretty much of a muchness.
For those not in the know; here's a tip: If you can't get traction from the other wheels, you can gently feather the brakes at the same time to send power to the other wheels. I've demonstrated many times how a less capable AWD can achieve better results compared to a more capable AWD. The same applies to 2WD cars.
Braking trick doesn't work in majority of modern cars as there is brake priority over acceleration pedal.
the diesels from 2010 and up are good engines, they have dpf problems if you barely drive it tho. the 2008 or euro 4 version was the worst engine subaru made, the block design put stress on the rod bearings which at a certain km they would fail and the engine would start to knock
Subaru 👍
Subaru ONLY ♥

My Subaru.
In wet conditions only, are Subaru, haldex, Quattro, 4matic, xdrive ect all the same performance?
No, they won't be the same. They have different characteristics (like rwd biased, fwd biased etc.)
Subie wins this one
I don't see a winner..seeing both Automobile passed each test..in about the same fashion..imho
@@kilove1 Not really in the same fashion, Subaru passes the last 2 tests with less effort (less time required). In real life, if you rev that high in that Audi for a prolonged period of time, it will wear out the mechanic components faster. So not only passing the test is important, but also the time required to pass the test.
@@Basics_of_Gameology yeah he must have not watched the video all the way through
@@Basics_of_Gameology exactly. Furthermore, Subaru passes easily the test also without X-Mode engaged, considering the fact that with this AWD type you can get at most 50% of the torque on the rear axle (normally is 60% front, 40% back)
@@MaurizioLattuada Actually it is not normally 60/40 but active from 100/0 to 50/50.
Question,
Who's best the x mode or Quattro ??
The AWD Quattro System it's not a permanent AWD, when it's not necessary the AWD it works as a front wheel drive. So if takes a few fractions of secont to transfer the traction to the rear wheel. In the Symmetrical AWD of Subaru the wheels work alsways togheter as a 4x4, so it takes no time to tranfer the traction to the rear wheels, because they're always working
@@giannirotola8024 It is permanent Quattro system with torsen C (40/60 front/rear) center differential.
@@giannirotola8024 quattro is also perm awd…
Does the Audi sq5 2023 have this Quattro system?@@4x4.tests.on.rollers

Хочу показать видео, на этом видео все автомобили легко съехали с роликов, но не смогли заехать на подъем. ua-cam.com/video/w0wDVe4Mppo/v-deo.html
IS that a Q5 or a Q3?
This is Q5. You may find Q3 here: ua-cam.com/video/-vbTOlkErFY/v-deo.html
Sorento easily beat the Q5. Would like to see it side by side with the Subaru. I would never buy a Subaru with a crappy CVT transmission though.
Sorento would compare with Ascent which is not available in Europe...
they offer the XV (crosstrek), the Impreza and the WRX/STI in manuals
@@Owmarsh12 yes.... yes they do. Too bad in America most folks don’t want a manual.
@@BriansRCStuff cant say I'm part of "most folks"
You are crappy, not CVT. I was going with Levorg with 1.6turbo and CVT more than 3.5 years, no problem, I don´t know what is transmission overheating or so. Try to ask Audi drivers about overheating.
I had both Audi all day Subaru with cvt transmission is junk
