    34.06 I think there is a one deep hole behind the sluice on the left that contains a pocket of bad water. The good water hasn't had time to dilute it yet and when it opens the badwater gets flushed into your main river.

    Also in 33:41 upper left corner you can see how as the good water comes in starts to overflow the sluices that let the badwater out, right exactly when you are saying this is so cool. and pause it righ in 34:43, you can see the good water overflowing, right next to the UI total water indicator. You will need build that levee wall higher or even better straighten the canal

    Beavers build in the order you place things, as long as you have the material to build it and can reach it. those 3 pieces of dynamite were placed after the others, and thats why they werent built. You can precent beavers trapping eachother by placing levees in the order you want them built. There is one of these lists for each of the five priorities.

      Haha yeah, they will box themselves in if I ain’t careful. Has happened 4 times in this run, just off camera.
      Will show it next time as the rush to save the beavers can be kinda fun lol

    I think the food and water situation is because you're on easy, so your beavers need to eat and drink less.
    Yay! Booms! Being able to put dynamite on roads is so *handy.*

    So, I've been having fun doing my badtide redirection with just two sluice blocks - it turns out that with the help of overhangs and impermeable floors, you can completely stop off a water source, so it doesn't matter if you only have one sluice for each water type to escape through, it will make the effort and come out at pressure (I tested in dev mode, you still get the same amount of water out) - so my reservoir looks like an the kind of thing that someone would build before the badtide update (just built over the water sources with no regard for badtide), but with a one block drainage hole in the side that's going to spew badwater when badtide comes around.

      Huh. have not yet used these. trying to figure a good way of using them on this map. I know what i am going to do on other maps. Cant wait to get to them.

      @@randomkiwigamer84 Ok, just had a badtide with my setup, and discovered something, so here's a word of warning - sluices can (but don't always) leak out the sides if you don't block them with a levee - and it seems that underwater and under pressure is the perfect opportunity for them to leak (don't worry, I managed to flush the badwater from my reservoir, but it was a bit of a pain).
      Edit: it might be a good idea to be careful with my idea - something went weird in the next badtide, and the sluices weren't behaving - so it might be bugged.

    They also changed that badwater outlet on the left-side of the map near your new industry. The map looks like it plays easier now imo, the water sources used to be more powerful and prone to flooding. I liked the old version, the challenge was too much water.

      I am not sure I ever played this map. If I did it was a year or more ago lol. Some of my series back then ran for 3 months…too long lol

    @31:18 it overflowed because when the two bad water streams meet it causes a back flow because one side is being squished into a smaller channel I would just dynomite a wider channel and make is straight vs the twist and turn on tthe side at this time stamp @31.29 far left of image you can see it overflowing starting there So i would dyno it straight : at 31:32 LOL you even say "gorgeous" as you can see if you zoom in that it is flooding over the levee behind the birchs next to the leveee on the bad water aqueduct on the left . @32:32 you can see that it did crest over even more on the left while you were looking at the batterys.

    33:17 instead of taller levees you could have used some 3 level dynomites to lower in the trench next to the levees. not deeping it all just the section next to the levees like a gutter trench :) 34:33 you can see the good water overflow like it does during the bad tide when you manually switch the left sluices TOP left of frame next to the WATER Storage amount of 2.8k

    You can change the badwater/drought duration and food/water consumption by modifying the text file. It's super easy, there is an online tool to modify the file but last I checked it wasn't updated for badwater version. Either way you can modify the duration for testing and consumption for more fun.

      Oh no, I am staying away from modifying anything until the update comes out properly. This run has had a multitude of crashes due to me trying to mod it lol

    in 30:30 when you are saying "taking this out two" those are not the problem, the problem is in the curve created by that hill on the edge of the map,, you will have to level that, also you might wanna take note of SkyeStorm's "how to get the fastest possible water flow rate" but I haven't tried it with the new water physics.

    Why not just build up a tower with platforms and put the gravity batteries on that? Do you just not like the look of a battery skyscraper?

      My past few games, I've built a bot manufactory tower and put the gravity batteries on that - and then the vertical power shaft got added just as I finished using a 2x3 area to lift the power up the last few blocks with high power shafts - I love the pun name, but I'm glad they got replaced with the more adaptable vertical power shafts.

    Easy mode affects food and water consumption I can't remember how much. Seems like 50% less consumption? I played easy mode once and I was too bored. Normal mode is easy after getting used to hard mode. Don't play easy mode you'll fall asleep. ;-)

      They consume 40% of what they normally consume.

      Easy is way too easy but I wanted to show off a few things of the update before it dropped.
      On hard an episode can take almost 2 hours to make, on easy it takes about an hour.
      Hard, maybe use the customise feature to make it harder, is going to be the next run…with iron teeth haha

    How do you always have cam free mode and stop it snapping back if you tilt the angle mine always snaps back to a certain angle

      It’s in settings. Ya need to uncheck a box. I can’t recall it’s name but you’ll know it when ya see it lol
