Wow! Amazing piece. It’s great to see these amazing players in a different light. As for the author, it’s only a matter of time before our Meghan leaves for a national gig. But at least we can all say that we watched her start, covering our Eagles and Avs with the DNVR gang.
As a mental health provider, this is outstanding work to destigmatize and and normalize mental heath challenges and support. Good journalism and Elite leadership in the club!
Really great segment, thank you Meghan! It always felt that they were like this in the locker room based on how the treat each other when we see it, but it's great to hear their opinions and approaches with each other and themselves
Former college athlete here: It's easy to forget how deep success or failure runs for an athlete. The dedication and sacrifice necessary to make it is insane. So much of your identity and self worth is tied to how well you play. If you don't live up to your own standards and expectations, it feels like not only are you failing in life, but also perhaps that you've wasted it. They're living their dreams, but if it doesn't go to plan it just as easily feels like a nightmare.
such an important subject! thank you for putting this together. btw you might want to find ways to improve your captions. they were off in several places, which might make it difficult for folks who are deaf or hard of hearing to understand.
Great piece! Thanks Meghan! It's nice to hear the guys speak comfortably about the open support system within their team. We only see the excitement and intensity of the game and often forget the mental strain it has on the players. I especially love Makar pointing out that there isn't any stigma about mental health in their team, and that they can talk about it easily. It speaks a lot about the culture Avs has.
Amazing job on this. It means so much to hear that these guys are watching out for each other and taking care of themselves ❤️ Thanks for reporting on this ❤
Well done Meghan! An important aspect all of us have to manage. Much less under the microscope these guys are under. Mental health and addressing it should be accepted and normalized. And not seen as a weakness when someone tries to address it.
I’m glad hockey players (and other athletes) are taking advantage of this part of health care which is obviously needed. Years ago players would just suck it up and told to “be tough”, thankfully those days are gone!
Fantastic piece! I love that these things are becoming normalized in the NHL. Just look at Sammy G....since he's been back, he's been OUTSTANDING! More importantly....these people need to care for themselves...yeah, they make money, but it's not an easy life. Well done, Meghan. Thank you for this.
Poor Meghan did everything right except who ever wrote the script didnt provide a prounication of Kylington's name. Really good video otherwise. ua-cam.com/video/SH6LQ4A9WKE/v-deo.html here's a pronunciation video for the future.
Go borrow goalie gear and get out there for an A division beer league game bud. be sure to provide footage and you'll learn pretty quick how mental hockey is. I guarantee you'll get absolutely shelled by high level players and leave feeling like complete shit. Man up and get in the net you boomer or shut your old ass mouth.
This is an incredible piece. I love this team and love that their culture encourages the openness needed to deal with the tough stuff that mental health issues can cause. Great job, Meghan! 💜
Meghan, you have some of the most insightful reporting on this team, and some of the larger things that they experience. Wonderful work here!

Love this, great job Meagan
Real journalism. Something I would have watched on outside the lines back in the day.
Awesome segment. Very glad to see these guys taking care of themselves.

Also, kudos for being brave to ask tough questions!

Put greats context on how far the league has come. Glad to see the work behind the scenes paying off.
Are the subtitles automatically generated? May want to double check them for future videos. Otherwise great video.
great report Meghan, great to see these guys being so open about this topic and how supportive they are of each other.

Nice work Meghan. Thank you, for giving us a glimpse into this important topic in the NHL and life.
These articles are why you're a rising star! Well done, the next level isn't that far away>
Amazing job on this. It means so much to hear that these guys are watching out for each other and taking care of themselves ❤️ Thanks for reporting on this ❤

Yessssss Meghan, killing it like always!
those nhl players are all highly talented and having mental health help when needed is a blessing.
I often think about and worry about players mental health in regard to the criticism from fans and the public.
Love this piece Meghan!
Fantastic expose Meghan!
Another Meghan banger. Amazing video
Great Job Meagan!
Good job, Meghan!
Kylington? 😂
Little more research required haha.

Such a joke. Go out there and do your job. We all do.
This reply shows your immaturity and fragility. May you find peace and I hope you have the day you deserve.

Sending you love.
Yeah, because your job has you enduring as much pain and pressure daily. I couldnt be an athlete, principally because of ungrateful fans like you.
